Craig was wonderful! We got his name from a local hardware store, and I read his Angie's List reviews, so we felt good about calling him to help secure our garage side door. We have had a number of break-ins and were anxious to have the work done quickly. He was able to come the next day. We had thought the door and frame would need to be replaced, but Craig examined them and concluded that the door did not need to be replaced, and that the frame only needed some reinforcement in order to put in a good dead bolt lock. He custom cut the support piece and installed the dead bolt. He also replaced the old door knob. His skills are top notch, he is efficient, and he is a truly nice guy! He was conscious of our time and his own. He even welcomed our curiosity so we watched much of his work! We already have a list of other items he could help us with, so we told him he'd be hearing from us again! If I could figure out how to give him an A+ rather than an A, I would!

I was calling several handymen to inquire about this project and while I was talking to Craig he said he could come the next day to complete the work so I scheduled with him before hearing back from other handymen for whom I had left messages. He came exactly when he said he would and completed the work in a timely manner. He even brought all necessary new outlets and in the middle of the project left to buy new outlet covers to match the outlet color I selected. He was very pleasant and I enjoyed his company quite a bit. Later that evening I noticed one of the outlets didn't work so I called him the next day and he came over within 1/2 hr to fix it. Earlier that day he dropped by my house to leave a business card from a window replacement co. we had discussed the previous day and left me a phone message alerting me that he had done so. Over and beyond helpful!

Craig was wiling to schedule me in, with only a few days notice.  I appreciated his flexibility .  He did a nice job on a whole list of projects.

Craig worked extremely quickly, and the work he did was done perfectly. He was very friendly and even respectful of my napping kids in the house! We had work that needed to be done as soon as possible. I contacted Craig during the weekend, and he was able to fit our job in on Tuesday. I would definitely recommend working with Craig!

Craig has done work for me twice and I would recommend him for Anything you need done to your home !!
He has extensive knowledge of every system in a house.
He is fair and will tell you if something does NOT need to be done or there is a less expensive way to do it.
Everything he has done works perfectly and I have never had to call him back to re-do a project.
He really is amazing !  I have owned 4 houses and am 70 years old.
I have built my own furniture and worked on my own cars (even though I am female)  I really
recognize someone who knows what he is doing around a house...

Craig was responsive, communicated his schedule and made sure everything was going as we'd like. I would definitely recommend his services and plan to call him in the future for additional handy work.

Great job. I met Craig in September and he was responsive and got a job done quickly for a townhouse I am selling. I asked Craig how much he was per hour and he stated $50.  We contacted him for some work on our home to fix some lights that were not working.  He put new switch boxes in place.  The time was two hours and the cost was $207.  We tried emailing him to get a better understanding of how this could be so costly and he has not responded to that message.

We have an old house with very old plumbing.  There was a leak in an upstairs bathroom that caused damaged to the ceiling in the living room below.  Craig found the leak very quickly, in the wall behind the bathroom fixtures, and did a great job finding the right replacement parts and quickly fixing the leak.  Found Craig to be extremely responsive, responsible, and good at his job.  I mentioned to him that I had other work I'd like him to do and he was very upfront about what he could do and willing to provide referrals for anything that he didn't feel he was the best at handling.  We have a bunch of other repairs needed in our old house and will definitely call Craig again to work on them.  He was far, far more reasonable in cost that a plumber, or other repairmen that we've worked with.  I'd recommend him highly based on our experience.

Couldn't have been better. I told Craig I didn't want any interval where our garage was less secure.  He said once he started working he would continue no matter how long till the door was again able to be locked.  He started by doing the woodworking to make the door frame much stronger than it had been. The garage is maybe as old as the house.  At any event, 30 or 40 years.  The door frame wood wasn't terribly strong. So Craig added more wood, and he put in shims to square the door.  That being done, he installed a new knob and a new deadbolt.  To insure the strength of the deadbolt, he machined angle iron to make a super strong strike plate.  When his work was done, the door went from being able to see light through the spaces in the door frame to a snug and solid fit.  We had similar work done by a large company for $800.  Craig managed to replicate the security of the back door of our house at less than half the price.  And we were always able to get to him via phone or email.  The man is very able in all sorts of work.  We have other projects we will get him to bid before we go anywhere else.

Craig was very professional.  He arrived on time and offered advice regarding the air conditioners, which as a new home owner, I found very helpful.

A friend?s house was broken into while I was house-sitting it. They had kicked in the front door, it was the only door I had keys to and
it wouldn?t lock.
Absolutely freaked out, I needed someone repair the broken door frame and lock that night. I had heard that Craig was very multi-talented.
I called Craig around 7:30 at night and he was able to come over to my friend?s house really quickly.
He was able to put the door frame back together. Craig did the job so well that you can barely see that anything happened to the door. He also noticed that the deadbolt wasn?t engaging properly and the door?s strike plate wasn?t attached to the door frame correctly.
When he was done with all the parts of the job, the door was much more secure than it had been before the break in.
I felt so much better after Craig did his amazing work.

This was an absolutely fantastic experience! Craig showed up on time. I bought a track light and had him assemble it. The light was made to only go in a certain direction and I was disappointed, however Craig was able to adjust it so it would face the direction I wanted! He also hung up some wall art and gave me some great advise on how to aim the lights to avoid shadowing. All art work was hung very evenly. Craig is very reasonable and I would be happy to refer him to others!! In short, he is very reasonable, knowledgable, and just a great guy! Kutos to Hand E Man!!!!!

No complaints.  Craig always offers any and options we have regarding a particular project and then quickly performs the work.  If we have any questions, he is always accessible. 

Craig is the best!  He is very skilled, efficient, and a pleasure to work with.  We own a small business and he completely re-did the bathroom in our building.  He did such a beautiful job!  Now we call him whenever we need something fixed in our home.  He schedules us right away and takes great care of our home.  On this latest job in our home he even made sure the outlet that he fixed was childproofed for my toddler before he left!  I highly recommend him.
