Mike was able to remove an old, tar covered tile floor covering and sand the existing maple floors down to a nice smooth finish. He & his crew stuck to their timeline, did what they said they were going to do, and even did a few extra things for no extra charge!

We gutted our kitchen and removed several layers of flooring material from the original hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining room. Mike was very comfortable working with an older home and knew how to deal with the layers of adhesive that were left on the original floors. The estimate he gave us was less than other estimates to do the same work. Mike even agreed to return to put the last layer of coating on the floors after all of our cabinets and appliances are installed so the floor won't be scratched. Overall, we were very impressed with Mike's work and we would recommend him to others.

The fir floor was distressed and not in the best condition from nail holes and water stains because it had been ccovered by layers of linoleum, plywood subfloors, and tile over the years.  Mike was easy going and readily dealt with the usual old house issues (sanding underneath heat registers, etc).  He was able to do all the work while I was out of town.  He kept the dust down as much as possible.  The floor looks far better than I expected given its condition prior to refinishing.  The few replacement boards are hardly noticeable.  The price was almost half of other quotes I'd received.
