+ 0 moreThere are salvage operations that have more "stuff" than Guilded Salvage, but I guarantee that no one in the business is nicer or will help you more. They are INCREDIBLY organized, they put everyone else to shame!! Their prices are very, very reasonable, check ebay or some of the other shops and you will realize how well their lights are priced. I highly recommend them, check them out!!
Description of Work: Trade in of antique chandelier and purchase of metal dresser. Also aided in the search of a salvage back entry door and brass pull for my buffet.

+ -1 moreI brought the lock in, they matched it, they told me how to install it and made sure I had the right other pieces. Then they helped find a new door knob etc.
Description of Work: Found me a lock for my old door after I busted the old one, got me better hardware than what had been previously installed.

+ -1 moreThe store is a block off of Central Avenue next door to a company that manufactures paint, and the stench of rotten linseed oil pervades the area like a fog. Too bad, because their selection is wide and they are happy to geek out over antiques with you. Plenty of space to park. Just breathe through your mouth.

They have always been successful in finding what I need or directing me to another source where I can find it. Their prices are reasonable and the couple that runs the store are very nice and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: HELPED ME FIND A RARE PART FOR MY OLD 1920'S FRONT DOOR KNOB ASSEMBLY. THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART IN STOCK BUT THEY TOOK THE TIME TO SHOW ME HOW THE MECHANISM WORKED AND LOOKED UP THE PART I NEEDED TO ORDER IN A CATALOG. I ORDERED THE PART ONLINE WHICH NOW ALLOWS ME TO OPEN MY BEAUTIFUL DOOR KNOB WITHOUT REPLACING IT WITH A NEW ONE.
