GREGORY'S CARPET CLEANING SERVICE

I got this guys name from amazon.com's   deal of the day.   49  dollars for 2 rooms and hallway.   I had 1 room a hallway and  6 steps.    I ended up paying 111 because the carpet was berber and  the extra charge for the steps even though he  cleaned just
1 room.    A couple of stains did not come out but I hadn't heard about it until recently.   Tried  leaving messages with him twice and go no response.    Stay away from this guy, he is not worthy.     He should find another trade.

We procured Gregory's Carpet Cleaning through a Living Social deal.  We setup an appointment for the day after New Year's Day since we had the day off.  If you plan on using their services plan on taking time off work, because Gregory doesn't like to deal with anyone other than the home owner.  On the originally scheduled day he called in sick and therefore couldn't clean the carpets.  They do not have backup staff since it is a family owned business.  We rescheduled to have the carpets cleaned the next day.  I spoke to Greg on the phone and explained that I needed the upstairs hallway and living room cleaned as well as the downstairs family room.  I also mentioned there was 5x5 landing at the top of the stairs that I would like cleaned as well.  He said any additional cleaning would be charged .30/sq/ft., but said he could look at it once they arrived on scene.

The day of the cleaning I had to have my mother open the house since we were at work.  His first advised that the front entry would be wet and to be careful, which my mother jokingly replied "if I slip, I will sue"  she was referring to suing me, her son, but Greg took it the wrong way.  The next sentence he wanted his $3.50, because apparently the Living Social deal didn't include the sales tax in the price.  Next it was explained that the upstairs living room and hallway needed to be cleaned along with the downstairs family room.  Greg was asked if the hallway downstairs could also be cleaned since it is approximately 4x3.  Greg burst out, "No! the contract is for two rooms and a hallway".  He didn't even look at the hallway.  His brother looked at the hallway and said it is pretty small, but Greg ignored his comment.  My mother's reply was "okay, it is your call", which Greg replied "that's right it is my call, it is my business!".

The final result was the upstairs living room, downstairs family room and downstairs hallway cleaned.  He didn't clean the upstairs hallway, which was explained to him on the phone by me and during the day of the cleaning.  He took the easy way out and cleaned the small hallway downstairs.  We called him and he explained that he cleaned two rooms and a hallway.  There was nothing I could do, because he did in fact clean two rooms and a hallway, it just so happened to be the wrong hallway.

My carpet has a residue and still has spots.  I honestly don't notice a difference after the cleaning.  Greg is really nice on the phone, but in person he is rude, aggressive, and intimidating.  I would strong advise against using their services.

I found Gregory's Carpet Cleaning Service through a deal-of-the-day promotion.  I called the company to ensure that the voucher would work on the area I needed cleaned in my home.  They told me that they would appreciate me not purchasing the voucher and instead just paying them the $ directly.  I agreed to hire them, and do so without the voucher, because their website guarantees that they will  do "whatever it takes" to "get your carpets clean or the job is free" and because they also said over the phone and during the consult before the cleaning that they would be able to remove the pet stains.  They added on fees for additional pre-treatment work (with my consent), yet did not live up to the promises.  My carpet is still stained and looks only somewhat better.  While I understand that not all stains can be removed, I only hired them because they promised they could remove them.  When I brought up the issue of the stains with Gregory he became upset, belligerent, condescending and rude, arguing that it wasn't his fault that we have mid-quality carpet and that we stained it ourselves and that he had explained it to me "10 times already".  This was a shock not only because of their guarantee but also because he had sounded so nice over the phone.  Plus, I wasn't even suggesting that the cleaning be free; just that I get a discount in the same amount as he wouldn't have received had I purchased the voucher (for a $50 voucher he would have received around $25 of it, which was all I asked for).  I ended up paying him the full amount he asked because I began to fear for my safety as a woman home alone.  I wish I would have purchased the voucher so at least I could get some amount of refund to reflect the quality of the work.  Beware!

This is a cleaning call that turned into a sales call. I hired this company on a Realtor recommendation to clean the carpet in my mother's home prior to sale. Greg wasn't in the house more than 15 seconds before the sales pitch started. Yes, he could clean the carpet but it likely wouldn't turn out very well. Out came the carpet samples and, yes, I stupidly bit. The next morning when I tried to recant I was told the carpet was on a truck and there was nothing he could do. I told him to keep the carpet I was told I would be out money. Oh, and did I want to have the carpet cleaned after all? I've opted to go with another cleaning service, one that doesn't also sell carpeting. I'm out the money, it appears, but it's a small price to pay to put this company behind me. When I contacted the Realtor about the experience, she apologized and insisted she had told Greg not to try to sell me carpet. Just a cautionary tale that your cleaning service appointment will likely turn into a sales call. And I bet they will have a special price on some Beaulieu Promo 25 tan carpeting just off the truck...

We have used there services several times. They are very thorough. They are reasonably priced. They are always on easy to set up the appointment. They call us to remind us.

They were very fast and personable. They very much into customer service. They had a great sense of humor! They matched the price of another company.

Gregory's arrived on time at our home and cleaned the carpet in several rooms along with the high traffic areas (stairs/hallways). They did a thourough job and cleaned the carpets very well. The representative also did an good job of explaining carptet care concerns and methods to avoid premature carpet wear.

I NEEDED TO GET MY CARPET CLEANED TO GET MY HOUSE READY TO SELL. CARPET WAS BADLY STAINED AND I WASN'T SURE THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO GET THE STAINS OUT. GREGORY'S TREATED THE STAINS AND CLEANED THE CARPETS. THEY LOOK GREAT!

HAD NEVER BEEN CLEANED SINCE INSTALLATION, LONG AGO. AREAS CLEANED ARE A VERY LONG LIVING ROOM/REC AREA, DINING AREA AND HALLWAY. I HAVE PETS, SO THAT FACTOR ADDED ''MORE STUFF'' TO THIS JOB. PROBABLY DUE TO THE EXTREMELY DIRTY CONDITION OF MY CARPETING, SEVERAL WIDE AREAS STARTED SHOWING UP AS A BROWN/RUST COLOR AS THE CARPET DRIED. IT LOOKED AWFUL. I CALLED GREGORY'S BACK ABOUT THIS, AND I WAS TREATED VERY WELL. MY PHONE CALL WAS RETURNED THE SAME DAY, AND THE OWNER CAME TO MY HOME 3-4 DAYS LATER ON A SAT. AND WENT BACK OVER THE SPOTS. THEY DID NOT COME BACK UP. I WAS VERY PLEASED W/ THIS SERVICE AND ATTITUDE!

THEY WERE ABLE TO GET OUT ALL OF THE SPOTS. BEFORE SCHEDULING WITH THEM, I CALLED SEVERAL PLACES TO GET PRICE ESTIMATES AND ONLY ONE OR TWO PLACES CAME IN AT A SIMILAR RATE. THE REST WERE HIGHER IN PRICE.
