MUST READ: If I could give 0 stars I would. This was truly one of the worst experiences I've ever had in service. IN SHORT: I brought my phone in for Gophermods to replace a cracked screen, paid them a $316 up front, and THEY BROKE IT. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: When I picked the phone up, it would no longer connect to the mobile network and would not charge without sounding an alarm due to overheating. I addressed this immediately with them and had to bring my phone back. After review, they informed me that it was left on the "heater" too long, which likely severed connections between the two motherboards impacting the antenna (and must have impacted the charging hardware as well). As compensation for THEIR mistake and breaking my Samsung S20 Plus, I lost my phone for 5 days (was provided and inferior loaner phone), given a REFUBISHED replacement ***WITH A SMALL SCRATCH ON THE SCREEN*** and refunded ONLY $30 (about half of their service fee of $59). So, basically I paid them $286 for a refurbished defective phone with a scratch on the screen. NOTE: The new screen part cost them $240 (that I never received). In addition to all of this, they told me they run through a series of functionality tests after they've completed the repairs. Ironically, they just happened to "forget" to check if it connected to the mobile network properly... the most important functionality on a PHONE? Hindsight being 20/20, when I arrived to pick it up, the technician couldn't charge it without sounding the alarm, but told me it was because it was still hot. He also couldn't perform a google search using voice command without failure and had to connected it to the WIFI in order to get it to work. I believe there's some ethics in question here as well. Lastly, they asked me for my broken phone back so that they could reuse/resell the parts!! As if they deserve to make more money on this transaction.

Terrible - AVOID This business

They were easy to work with and finished the install on time. My issue was that within a month the new screen had scratches all over it, where the original one never got a mark (till it hit a large rock and splintered...). And about 8 months after the new screen was installed it fell off the couch, onto my carpet, and cracked in half! When I called about it they informed me that drops were not covered under the warranty.
I totally understand that they have no idea what caused the crack, and they probably get all kinds of people making all kinds of claims and need to have a policy in place to deal with that. My negative review is with the quality of the component they used. This was not remotely close to the quality of the original, and if I had known this to start with I would have just gotten a new phone.
If you need a new screen I strongly suggest you look around, ask everyone if they use the same screen as the original and to put that in writing, and then baby your new one. Or just spend the extra $ and get a new phone.

I dropped my iPhone 4 onto some ice salt, picked it up and immediately dropped it again. Result was two large and quot;spiderweb appsand quot; on my phone screen, leaving the phone fine operationally but obviously very difficult to read. Took the phone to Gophermods' Cottage Grove, MN, location where Luke, the store manager, was very friendly and helpful. He said he could fix it in about an hour for $79.00 plus tax, which was better than any of the others I had checked. I left, came back in an hour, and the phone was ready to go. Looks as good as when it was brand new.
Gophermods has other Twin Cities locations, some of which do repairs on games and tablets, too. Best to call ahead to make sure you're going to a location that can work on your product. They also do out-of-town business.
Very highly recommended. Hope I don't have to do this again if but I do, Gophermods is where I'll go.

I looked at a few places to fix our YLOD PS3. We had tried a few things to get the unit working, including opening it and cleaning the dust out, and trying an alternate hard drive to see it that would turn on. Nothing worked, so we decided to have it fixed. I liked Gophermods' website, and the convenience of their UPS services. They also had great Google reviews! I chose them, entered my information (including an extra fan-installation service), paid, and printed the shipping label. I shipped my PS3 out the next day.
The next day, I realized we had left our extra hard drive in it instead of the original hard drive! I emailed Gophermods support right away to let them know that our unit was on it's way and it had a non-PS3 HD in it. It took a day or so for them to answer, but they said it was fine and would not effect their ability to repair it.
I received an automated email a few days later, telling me my unit had arrived and it was being worked on. I wasn't sure how long it would take, so I waited. And waited.
10-12 days after they received the unit, I started wondering where the heck my PS3 was! It had to be on it's way back by now. I called and spoke to someone who told me he would track it down and call me back. He called back and said he had found it on the in-store-pickup shelf for some unknown reason. He also said that it was diagnosed as un-fixable right after it came in and it had been sitting there. We were very disappointed!! I do not fault them for not being able to fix our unit, but they should have contacted us right away. I mean, when you shell out $120+, you anxiously await the return of your device, right?!
They gave us the reasonable option of a refund minus shipping to ship our unit back to us, OR the choice for a full refund and our console would be recycled (and the hard drive sent back free). We chose the latter and ended up buying a used PS3 slim.
Overall, I definitely would use these guys again, mostly because of the UPS shipping option. That's great for 9-5 people like me who don't have time to run the unit in during the business day.

Everything was great. All employees were very knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. Price was $50-60 less than anyone else quoted me. They even dropped the phone off at my house in the morning when the repair went a little longer than they'd hoped! Overall I'm very pleased and will definitely use Gophermods again and recommend them to friends for any similar service.

Gophermods fixed our PS3 quickly and inexpensively.
They are knowledgable, and it does not feel like they are ripping us off.
I would use them again.
