I would recommend finding another tailor. I came in to have my bridesmaids dress altered and during the consultation when it was pinned it looked perfect. When I received it back, the top didn't fit and was crooked under the armpits, it puckered out under the arms and gapped in the front. The person who originally helped me said that wasn't her fault, that was "another Issue". She told me to tape the top to my chest. She told me over and over it was my misunderstanding after I told her when we pinned and marked it, it looked great, as it is now, I can't wear this dress. She again said it wasn't her fault. I requested my money back for ONLY the top portion of the dress, I was paying her in full the $150 for the hemming which I was told was a lot, I only wanted the $70 for the top back. I was told no, I explained to them I felt like they ripped me off. I sent a formal letter and received NO response. I will never go here again and based on my treatment of both the garment and myself, I would advise everyone considering them to move along to another tailors office. When I took the dress into another tailor, they had no issues fixing the top and it cost me a lot less.

They did a great job. First, they both greeted me with a smile and were very friendly. I requested a same day service, which I knew would naturally require a higher cost, and I was ok in paying. When I showed them my request, I felt very confident they had the experience to do it, and they did. When I picked up my jacket, it looked better than my expectations! I would definitely would use them again, and highly recommend their tailoring.

Amazing service,  needed my suit taken in for a funeral, brought it in over lunch and it was ready by 10:00 the next morning, and it looks great. I don't know how the price compares to others, as I have never had this work done, and didn't call around as I was in a hurry.

I have used this tailor several times and will not go anywhere else now -- whether it's something as simple as sewing on a few buttons or something much more complicated. I think the prices are fair given the level of expertise and skill. I have had them do simple jobs like hem pants ($10 or so) and more complex things. Among my two favorites: They repaired the rapidly separating lining of a family blanket that was of great sentimental value. Even though it was a really tough job since the loose fabric had kind of become wrapped up on itself, the work done was tremendous. You really have to look closely to be able to tell that there was a repair at all. And then second, I had them repair my favorite hoodie sweatshirt of all time. The metal zipper got caught in the washer and was completely destroyed. The gentleman who does most of the work could tell how important the sweatshirt was to me. He took extra care to ask my preferences about the replacement zipper's color, thickness, etc. I basically told him to match the original as closely as possible, and he did a fantastic job. The couple that runs this store is just delightful and has never been late having my items ready. Highly recommend.

I phoned them to find out if they would hem jeans, and the woman who answered was very helpful. She said they would do that, and to just come in any time.
She was very busy when I arrived, but stopped immediately, and measured my jeans on me.
I would say the only reason I was not absolutely thrilled with them was that I had to wait a week.
However, I completely understood because they had weddings, prom, and graduation clothing to work on.
I went in on the appointed day, first calling to confirm my jeans were ready, and they were all done.
The work was very good, and I am very happy with their services.
I will definitely go back!!!

I asked for full replacement, but they said they could repair for a fraction of the cost. And they did!

Replaced zipper in fleece jacket. Complete satisfaction.

The owners were helpful, and helped me solve this suit issue while my son was in town from Chicago for the weekend, They hemmed the pants, let out the waist, lengthened the sleeves, and took approximately 6 inches in from the suit jacket seems to fit my son perfectly. I would definitely recommend this shop and use them again.

Golden Valley Tailoring gave clear and quot;how to find usand quot; instructions on the phone, they were friendly and professional as they assessed the damage to my pants, gave me an estimate ($50 - $75), and a much sooner than expected and quot;you can pick up your pantsand quot; call. The repair is perfect (I know where to look, and there is no sign that there ever was a hole OR a repair) and the price was $51. I'm very happy.

I recently purchased a new suit from a quality men's store in the metro area. They provided free alterations with purchase, but I was very unhappy with the way the pants were altered. Running out of time (for a calendared event), I decided to try Golden Valley Tailoring rather than go back to the men's clothing store. Upon arriving at the tailoring shop I was immediately directed to a changing room, and within five minutes new measurements were taken. I was back in my car within ten minutes. Three days later (as promised) the pants were finished, altered perfectly, to my expectations. This was an excellent transaction!

I bought a suit jacket that fit well through the shoulders but it was too boxy through the middle. They took in the seams in the back and now it fits perfectly. It took about a week to get the work done, they delivered on time and did beautiful work. I will now take all my tailoring to them.
