These gentlemen were absolutely top notch. Quickly responsive to my inquiry, punctual, extremely careful with more fragile objects, lightning fast, very professional in their moving techniques (used belts & equipment, etc. to prevent injury and seemed to know exactly how to lift things in the most efficient manner). The second job didn't take too long, but I had paid for a minimum amount of time, and so they helped with furniture re-arranging and even picture hanging--which they also did very professionally. They were also friendly and good-natured. I have recommended them to several friends.

Excellent workmanship, care, professionalism in their field. Caring about furniture placement and security in their truck, as well as putting the furniture where it goes in our new home. Quick and efficient, could not recommend more highly for your moving needs.

We recently used Michael and his team for an office/commercial space move and cannot say enough good things about them! They were super responsive to all our inquiries, affordable and SO efficent. Their estimate of time and man power required was exact. We had a ton of really heavy fixtures that they moved no problem. We also had some furniture that required (super tedious) disassembly and they even took extra time to reassemble all of it. They all worked so hard and had really positive energy which made the move painless. I would recommend them for any job!

Mike and his crew are absolutely fantastic. Mike answered my inquiries very promptly and showed up right on time, keeping in touch by calls or texts. Mike and all 3 of the helpers who showed up through 2 moves were polite, good-natured and highly competent. These men are strong and lightning fast (which is really nice because they charge by the hour) but very, very careful with furniture and boxes. We had lots of mid-sized items that were not in boxes and they lightly and efficiently packed these to be able to move them. It is clear they are very experienced--I was present throughout both moves and they didn't damage or even bump into anything. They talked among themselves before they moved really big pieces to determine the best way to move something rather than struggling/blundering through; though Mike is the owner of the business, he listened to his crew carefully and took their suggestions when there were difficult pieces to move. For the second move, after our moving truck had arrived from another state, I just needed some large pieces of furniture moved from the garage and some more boxes moved from garage to basement. They have a two hour minimum (I believe it's $100/hour for 2 men) and after they moved the furniture and boxes, they stayed for the full two hours and did all sorts of smaller jobs--hanging pictures & mirrors, moving/organizing some things in the garage, and so forth. They even suggested things they could do to fill the time. They were really tremendous and I cannot more highly recommend this company.

From the moment I contacted Mike he was professional with a quick response to my questions and flexible with coordinating our times. Mike and Ryan were very careful with the heavy stove and showed up right on time. This is the third time I've called on Mike to move furniture and he never disappoints.

The job was done perfectly. Workers were on time, prepared, friendly/professional, and were careful with my furniture. They asked me where I wanted things, they took things apart and reassembled as necessary. It was a flawless move. I was very pleased. And not only that, they were the last expensive of the three companies I received estimates from!

Mike and his helper were amazing.  Our contractor needed someone to move a new 400# cast iron tub from a garage, through a front door up a staircase into a bathroom.  There were three times they needed to stand the tub on end to maneuver around tight spaces and I was sweating bullets, but they did it all.  True to other Angie's List reviewer's Mike and his helper carefully talked through each part of the move and did so with finesse and herculean strength.  I'm not sure he really want another job like this one,  :-) but  I can vouch for the quality of their work.  Thanks--Jim B

This company is fantastic! Michael responded right away to my online inquiry through Angie's List and came out a couple days later to see what needed to be moved. He sent the estimate the next day and we were all set.

On moving day they arrived on time with an energetic crew and began loading. They were careful with everything and very efficient. They arrived at the destination on time (after being forced to wait out a blizzard in Iowa!) and unloaded. Nothing was damaged or broken in the move--amazing!!

This group was professional and a pleasure to work with. They kept us posted on where they were every step of the way. There were no hidden costs tacked on like one reads about with some moving companies.

Moving is expensive; there's no way to sugarcoat it. But if you want your belongings (and only YOUR belongings) on a truck to be delivered on a specific date (instead of a 10 day range) and you don't want to be socked with additional fees before you can get your things, and you don't want the loading and unloading subcontracted out to people found on craigslist, then I highly recommend calling General Expert Moving Service and avoiding the major moving companies. This was definitely the best decision we could have made because the service they provided was truly exceptional. How often have you ever heard that said about a moving company?!!
