Gail was very friendly and pleasant to work with. However I wish I had explicitly written out what I wanted done, because she did things I didn't ask for and used up all the fabric, about which I am disappointed. The quality of the work was good, and the price was very fair ($25/hour). I think I would use Gail's services again, but I would be more careful about writing out in detail the scope of the project(s).

I called and set an appointment, at our mutual convenience; Gail assessed my needs in a timely fashion; she did the work; she called to say that it was ready; the price was reasonable; I was so pleased that I took more alterations to her. Her work is amazing and she is a delight.

It was fantastic. I had originally taken the dress to someone else, who I thought might have ruined it. When I brought it to Gail, she was able to fix the dress and make the hem even and look great even though when I brought it to her, one side was 2 inches shorter than the other side. Even though she was incredibly busy, she fit me in and fixed the hem in less than 3 days so that it would be ready in time for an event I needed it for. She also charged me less than the original person, even though she had to do more work.

Great experience. I explained what I wanted and why; aprons for my mother-in-law who has a severe tremor and was self conscious about eating in the dining room with other facility residents. I wanted the aprons to become the focus and a conversation piece rather than the tremor. Gail really got into the spirit of the idea. She has made some great aprons and the idea has worked like a charm.

I called early in the week to see if she could hem a pair of pants that was part of a suit I was planning to wear to a wedding on the weekend. At first she told me she was booked, but after hearing my story she agreed to do the work. She did the work, and on time, and when I went to pick the pants up she pointed out that one leg had already been hemmed and, since she only had to hem one leg, charged half her usual price. The pants looked great and wore well, and I'd be glad to use Gail's services again!

It went well, the dress looked great. The bussel wouldn't hold, which was a pain all night.

I called her early in August after getting her information from Angie's List. She said there would be enough time for her to get it finished if we waited until after Labor Day. We made an appointment for September 3rd to have her fit it. We returned the 10th to pick it up. My daughter tried it on to check the fit. One side fit more smoothly than the other so she fixed it and we returned on the 12th to try it on again. It fit beautifully!

Gail did a great job. You'd never know that they didn't come that short.

She was fantastic! Gail got the alterations done perfectly the first time. My dress was fairly simple (no beading, etc), but there was a side zipper she had to take out and later replace in order to take in the sides. I couldn't have been happier with the results! She was a dream to work with. I couldn't recommend her more!

I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Gail. She was patient, meticulous, and expert in her handling of this job. She displayed real sensitivity and graciousness throughout and did just superb work. She had to move and work around beads sewn very tight and persevered through it all. I was delighted to learn that she is open to sewing clothes from start to finish, and as someone very short on the plus size end of the clothing scale who never gets close to a perfect fit on most things, I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to hear that. This was the first of what I know will be many visits in the future. And to the one respondent who was disappointed about the delay in response, I too had to wait a bit. Gail was out of town so it took a while before she got my message, but I can definitely tell you she was well worth the wait. This was my first real Angie's List follow-up and I couldn't be happier.

Gail has done a variety of projects for me and is always meticulous and fast. I can count on her to do a great job and be very fair in her prices. I recommend her to everyone. She is so pleasant to work with and so good at what she does. I count on Gail whenever I have sewing or alterations needs.

Excellent service, at an excellent value. They were a very nice person.

Gayle did a fantastic job on my dress. She's delightful to work with, very easy-going and flexible. She knows what she's doing with wedding dresses and is very good at trouble-shooting. My sister also had Gayle alter her bridesmaid dress; again great work for reasonable cost. I will definitely call Gayle for my future alterations needs.

She did a wonderful job. My dress had embroidery which made it challenging to alter. When I tried on the dress for the final time, it looked great, and it fit great too! Gail was very accommodating to all my requests and I think that the price was fair for the amount of work that was done. I am so pleased with the end result and would go back to Gail for any other alterations I may need in the future.

Never got a call back, and ended up going elsewhere.

GAIL WAS WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH; SHE WAS RESPONSIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND A GREAT LISTENER. HER WORK WAS EXCELLENT, AND SHE DID A LOT FOR THE PRICE. TO TOP IT OFF, WHEN I COULDN'T FIND ANY SHOES TO WEAR, SHE GAVE ME A PAIR OF SPARKLY FLIP-FLOPS (I WAS SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING FLIP-FLOPS OR SOME OTHER TYPE OF SANDAL). HER WORK HELPED ME FEEL REASSURED THAT MY WEDDING DAY WOULD BE PERFECT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.

GAIL DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB OF ALTERING THE DESIGN OF A VINTAGE WEDDING DRESS SO THAT IT FIT PROPERLY, RETAINED ITS VINTAGE CHARM, YET IMPROVED THE STYLE AND DESIGN.

GAIL WAS ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE ME ON SHORT NOTICE AFTER MY DRESS WAS LATE IN ARRIVING (A WEEK AND A HALF BEFORE THE WEDDING). SHE DID A VERY GOOD AND FAST JOB AND ALSO HAD HELPFUL ADVICE ON HEM LENGTH.

GAIL WAS FABULOUS. SHE DID QUALITY WORK THAT WAS ON TIME AND REASONABLE. I WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE HER AGAIN.

IT'S GOOD TO KNOW THAT YOU DO NEED TO MAKE APPOINTMENT, SHE WORKS FROM HOME. VERY GOOD AND PROMPT.

GAIL WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING WITH SCHEDULING MEETING TIMES AND COMPLETING THE WORK ON SHORT NOTICE. SERVICE PERFORMED WAS EXACTLY WHAT WAS REQUESTED.

I FOUND HER FRIENDLY AND HONEST. SHE IS A PERFECTIONIST WITH HER WORK. IT WAS A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH HER.

SHE CAN DO ANYTHING ON A SEWING MACHINE. SHE'S FAST, CREATIVE AND REASONABLE.
