I went into the store at the Galleria with the intent on making a large furniture purchase. I had 3 rooms for which I wanted to purchase new furniture. Living room sofa, chair and tables; Dining room table and buffet; Office desk, chair and other pieces. Unfortunately, I could not get a sales person to help me. I was acknowledged, but never approached when I walked into the store. At first I tried politely to get someone's attention, but the two sales people just turned their backs and continued their private conversation. I continued to wander the store looking for an unoccupied sales person, but when I found one and approached her she told me she was just finishing her shift and couldn't help me. However, she did not offer to find someone that was on duty to assist me. At that point I went to a mirror to make sure that I didn't look strange or unkempt - but that wasn't the case as I'd just come from my office. I was prepared to spend about $20,000 to start getting my rooms shaped up. I didn't spend a dime at Gabbert's and never will. Fortunately, I was able to go to another furniture store in the area and make my purchases. For Gabbert's sales staff, an attitude adjustment is sorely needed.

AWFULL! A few days before the 4th of July weekend we went to buy two mattress sets ($2500) from the salesman who was a mattress expert --(Sleep Studio). He gave us his card listing the days he would be present. He indicated he would be there on Sat, Sun, Monday. We returned on Sat, July 4 to purchase them but he was not there, so we left him a written note to call us. He didn't. We were going to go back on Sunday but decided to call him first to be sure he was there. We left a telephone message for him to call us. He never did. We went back on Monday thinking he surely would be there but he wasn't. Another lady (interior designer) tried to help and wrote up the order. The cashier placed my visa number under my brothers name--it took a while to "correct" this. I asked the saleslady if the product number on the order was correct. She said yes. We placed the order and drove home only to find that the sku number had an "ET" code which meant "European Top." We did not order our mattresses with the ET. We drove back (our 4th 20 mile round-trip) to see her but we were told she was at lunch. We cancelled our order and the next day went to one of Gabberts' competitors and made the same purchase. The first salesman never called us after two requests for him to do so. The company lost out on a $2500 order. Their reputation leaves a lot to be desired.
