FORD STUDIO

My wife and I usually don’t do very well when sitting for portraits. Neither of us likes to “model” and we knew that we’d need a lot of help to get a decent picture of ourselves. And that’s exactly what Paul did! We met him at his studio and were immediately impressed by his relaxed, professional style. It was obvious that he’s been doing this type of work for many years. We did a short session of a few poses and then Paul took a few minutes to upload the digital images to his PC. Then we attempted to select one good picture from the many which he had taken. Unfortunately, we liked none of them. No problem for Paul. He took a few more pictures and told us a few jokes which loosened us up enough to produce natural smiles. This resulted in quite a few excellent photos. We chose one and will give portraits to our children as Christmas gifts. This was a very positive experience and it was a pleasure to meet Paul.  
 
 

I chose Ford Studio after reading reviews here on Angie's List. Paul had good options available for our schedule and we were able to set up an appointment at a good time for us. When we arrived, Paul was set up and ready for us immediately. He was very professional but very friendly as well. He explained all our options at the beginning, so we could choose what we wanted and knew what to expect. He was great with my 18 year-old son, making him comfortable and at ease right away. Paul was able to keep him engaged in the process and posing for an hour - quite an accomplishment with my reticent son!
We did both indoor shots and outdoor shots, and Paul managed to get photos that look like they were taken in the woods, even though the leaves were barely out yet. The photos turned out great and we had lots of good options to choose from when we came back to review the pictures. The pricing is very straight forward; there were no surprises and no pressure to buy more than we needed or wanted. I would definitely recommend Ford Studios and will go back in the future.

He was on time. He was professional. He did everything like he said he was going to do.

She did 4 different outfits as well as outside and inside portraits. He was pleasant, respectful, very easy to work with, and believe me my daughter is not the easiest one to work with. She has very specific ideas and she is highly creative. He was able to accommodate all of her ideas and actually had some really great ideas on his own once he started figuring out what she was looking for. She was really happy to work with him. When it came time to look at all of the different packages available, in our comparisons with other photography studios he was not over priced at all. If anything, he was less expensive than a lot of other places. We bought a lot of pictures and got a lot of 8 x 10, 11 x 14, 5 x 7, and wallet sized portraits. He did retouches and he was able to whiten teeth on all of the pictures. All of that was extremely reasonable. The pictures are gorgeous and he took them at a park by his studio. My wife and I have decided that when our younger daughter graduates in two years we are going to use him again.    

Hired for senior pictures.

This was an amazing experience.  Our daughters were nervous at first and didn't know what to expect.  Paul (the photographer) immediately put them at ease.  We met with him before the session date and he walked us around the studio and property to show us what options were available and to make suggestions about the photo shoots.  He had a lot of energy and excitement and went out of his way to show us different settings and options.  He probably spent close to an hour with us and his attention to detail was very much appreciated.  My daughters were very impressed with the options and were very happy with the personal attention Paul gave to their needs. At the time of the portrait shoot, Paul provided the same amount of energy and attention to detail.  He made the experience so much fun, my daughters were immediately at ease and able to really enjoy the whole experience.  Paul made us feel special and all of his attention was focused on our session, making sure we got shots from all of the settings (inside and outdoors) we chose and taking enough shots so that he was sure we would have great options to choose from.  We left the session full of energy and excitement because that is the mood Paul maintained throughout the session. When we went in to view the portraits, Paul once again brought enthusiasm and attention to detail.  He walked us through a slideshow of the portraits and offered suggestions on his favorites.  Not suprisingly, we had so many amazing portraits, that we knew it would be hard to make final choices.  Once we placed our order, the portraits were ready for pick up within the agreed upon time and we were fully satisfied with the results.  I called several photography studios to compare prices prior to choosing Ford Studio.  I found that Ford Studio's prices were either comparable or less expensive that other companies I checked with.  Once I met with Paul and saw the amazing options he offered for the outdoor shots, and experienced the personal attention he gave to his customer's, I knew Ford Studio was the right choice for us.  We were extremely happy with the entire experience. I highly recommend this company!

Very good.

Paul has a beautiful setting at the studio with lots of props for shooting outdoors. He really does well with the lighting. He put my son at ease with his chatter, and made the session fun, even for a teenage boy! He has an eye for matching backgrounds with clothing choices. Ordering photos was easy because he gives a flier with very clear instructions. He also offers a deal on wallets: He gives you cards to give to people you refer to him, and both you and that person will get 16 free wallets, a $32 value. No limit on these.

Overall I believe the service was a good - if slightly expensive - value. The studio is convenient and very nicely equipped with an expansive photo area and ample outdoors "sets". The PR shots are relatively simple and quickly done; I was in and out within 30 minutes. The results were solid and represent exactly what I needed. The photographer has good attention to detail and smoothed clothing wrinkles but missed my slightly loose tie. Not his fault whatsoever as he was focused on lighting, the shots and end result, which was well done.

I loved them and still admire them on my walls! We had her pictures taken outside and they turned out so wonderful, I had so many to choose from. They were very professional and made a shy little 2 year old girl relax and have fun taking the pictures.

Oh my gosh, this photo studio is in a gorgeous setting and being outside there this time of year (early June) is like being in heaven! When you get to the studio, one of the first things you see is the beautiful landscaping all around and an abundance of choices for natural backdrops for your photos a creek, lush grass, beautiful trees, a child s swing, an adult swing, an attractive stone wall, a little fence, flowers, etc. It is really beautiful and there are so many options. When you walk inside, the photos on the wall displaying Ford Studio s work are beautiful! The people in the photographs look very natural, relaxed, and happy, and have great props, backdrops, and some have some really attractive special effects, like a pretty fading around the edges. Our outdoor family portrait shoot went very well. The photographer, Paul, was excellent with our kids. He made the best silly faces to get my 14 month old smiling. He got some good smiles out of my 7 year old as well, which was great because it is usually difficult to capture her natural, relaxed smile in posed photos. Paul made us feel very at ease getting our pictures taken. We found him to be very receptive and flexible with our needs, and very enjoyable to work with. Based on our experience today, we highly recommend this studio. My husband had a business photo taken today with Ford Studio as well and was very happy. Paul was detail oriented and made sure to adjust the head angle, smooth wrinkles in his jacket, adjust the way the shoulder was laying, etc. to enhance the photos. The rich leather and dark wood used for props and backgrounds for the business photo were awesome as well! The price for the business photo session (10 poses) + release of the copyright and a CD with the photos was $65 (very reasonable I thought) and is not included in the $120 total I provided for the family photo fee. (I would give the business photo shoot an A+ for price)

THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD, THEY DID EVERYTHING THAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO AND THEY WERE ON TIME.
