It went well. it took me a long time to decide on materials but once I did and paid the deposit, it went fairly quickly. The guy installing the vinyl was nice. I wish I had known installing the sub-floor would be so dusty (from cutting the wood) as I could have covered items on the counter. He did the best he could with the threshold at the back door as there is apparently some rot under it (I'll fix in the spring). The carpet guys did good work. However, I've noticed some spots where I can feel the nails underneath (I've actually cut myself on one) and some of the fold-lines (that's what they called them) are still visible. I was assured the only seam was in the closet. I've received no warranty information which concerns me, but I'll follow up with their store. I chose them because they were having a free-installation sale on the carpet.
Description of Work: Following making a deposit, Jonathan came out to measure the areas. After I finally chose the materials, we scheduled the installations. They removed carpet from kitchen and prepped the entryway's old vinyl. They installed new sub-floor in the kitchen and new vinyl in both (total of 223 square yards; $1575). On a separate day and different installers, removed carpet from living room, hallway, and bedroom. They installed new carpet (two different colors, total of 505 square yards; $2540). They hauled away the old carpet from this installation but did not haul away the old carpet from the kitchen; I'm not sure if they were supposed to or not. They even vacuumed the new carpet.
