FILLA GREEN DESIGN + BUILD

Excellent.

Working with Filla Green Design + Build was a very positive experience and I was very satisfied with the end result.
I was extremely impressed with Filla's customer service--it was outstanding; owner Stephen Filla was an excellent communicator. He was patient with all of my questions and was very detailed when he conveyed information. He always responded to any concerns quickly and thoroughly. If he didn't have an answer, he would go to considerable effort to get it and always with a great attitude.  Filla's craftsmanship was outstanding. They went above-and-beyond to replicate woodwork and other details so that there were no "seams" between the old and new within my house. An example is that Stephen hunted to find millwork that would match my existing just perfectly. Also, if they found shortcomings in the original work of the house (i.e. framing, insulation), they would correct them. They definitely provided me with a house that was structurally stronger and better. Additionally, also it looks beautiful. I would definitely recommend Filla Green Design + Build and would use them again for future projects.

Filla Design oversaw everything from start to finish for this very extensive project.  If we had a question about one of the multiple sub contractors, or the timing of things, they would personally always come through on follow up.  When we would stop by from our temporary housing (7 months), Tom frequently made a point to meet us at the house and make note of any of our questions, as well as cover his own check list.  When the original painters didn't come through on everything, Tom made everything right with new workers. 
Tom Filla did a masterful job of working with our insurance company, even though we were technically the "contractor."  Tom's calm and professional demeanor has made a very difficult and trying time for us as stress-less as possible.  We received countless  suggestions, including significant improvements in our home.  The paint colors are terrific!

The staff of this company has excellent communication skills. They listened carefully to determine what I needed and incorporated those elements into the project. They worked collaboratively with me and with each other. The sub-contractors were also respectful and polite. They let me know what was happening and when. I took on the role of "hiding in plain sight" - out of the way but available to answer questions. I highly recommend them.

The work was done while we were on a trip and was finished when we got back, except for the ceiling fixture moving.  That was done in an hour after we got home and discussed the placement.  The owner, Tom Filla, was great to work with and easy to deal with in planning the job.  We didn't have much contact with his workers since the job was done while we were gone, but they were friendly and professional when we did.  We were very pleased with the quality of the work and would definitely use them again!
