The first start date passed with no sign of Glenn or communication. We finally got ahold of him towards the end of the day. He said he was spending the day with family, and promised he would start work at 9am the following morning (why he couldn't call to tell us is beyond me). The following morning, 9am came and went with no sign of Glenn. We contacted him at 10:30am, and he said he was "on his way". After STILL no sign from Glenn, we contacted him and told him we were not comfortable going forward. He begged and pleaded to keep the job, but our decision was firm. He told us he would put our deposit check in the mail, but we ordered a stop payment online nonetheless.
A few days passed and we still had not received our deposit check. I logged into my online banking and saw that Glenn had deposited the check the very same day he said he would send it back to us, and as such, our stop payment request was too late!
Glenn said several times that he would bring a refund check, but has broken every promise to do so. He has said he would call several times, but never does. He's promised partial repayment, but has never delivered. We went to the Edina Police, who called him and were told that he would take care of it right away. We are now in the process of filing a court claim and have notified the BBB and the Bureau of Labor and Industry. Additionally, Rubble Tile has removed him from their recommended installers list.
Keep your money and stay away.
UPDATE 12/06/12: Bjorlin claims he never entered into any business agreement with us, yet I have a CANCELED CHECK for $1350 with his endorsement, showing it was deposited into his bank account. And I also have a log of text messages from him promising to pay us back our money. He was apologetic at fist, but now is completely non-responsive. I ask Bjorlin to explain how I have a canceled check with his endorsement on the back if he did not in fact enter into an agreement with us.
It is now December 6th, still no sign of our money, and he won't respond to any of our attempts to contact him.
UPDATE 12/17/11: Bjorlin called on Wednesday, December 12th, and said he would leave a good-faith payment by Friday, December 14th. It is now December 17th, with no sign of a check and Bjorlin won't respond to texts.
UPDATE 3/31/13: We had our court hearing, and the judge awarded a judgment. Now we start the process of collecting from this thief.
"I Glenn Bjorlin owner of Edina Tile and Stone have never entered into any business agreement with (member) and the accusations this person claims are FALSE and Slanderous!"
