We hired Eric to remodel our 90+ kitchen. He gutted it almost completely, rebuilt the floor, back stairs, and parts of the walls, put in new arches to match the original nook arches, added a "mud nook," installed cabinets, tiled, painted, added crown molding, and built base board that echoed the original int he front of the house, and served as gen contractors for all the subs. He also finished the ceiling in the basement and painted all. The final product is beautiful. It wasn't an easy job either. Our old house provided plenty of challenges, but Eric was a good communicator, explaining the problems and working together to figure out how best to address them. He did a beautiful job on the arches, and dealing with a challenging, wonky ceiling that needed extensive work to level out, and the nook with great looking wood work and careful attention to detail. The overall project took longer than planned do to some unforeseen challenges with the house, and changes we wanted to make along the way, but he was always responsive and helpful. As general contractor there were a few issues, particularly with the stove, that weren't clearly understood or defined, but his subs helped worked through them and all turned out well. I think that's the theme of Eric's work - he was there to make sure the problems were addressed directly and the work done completely and well. I appreciate his persistence, his guidance, and his ideas on improving on our vision. We now have a well organized, beautiful kitchen that's getting a ton of use!

Eric was great! We were crunched for time and he had no problem making the deadline. He coordinated well with us too. We are very pleased with how he worked and with the final product. We’d definitely hire again!

Eric was professional and very easy to work with throughout the process including dealing with my rescue dog that was afraid of men. They were buddies by the end of the project. He was responsive to all inquiries and “change orders” and even a small issue identified several months after the project was complete. Turned out beautiful albeit a bit more money than anticipated but within normal expected limits with St Paul Inspectors and my change orders. ? Would definitely hire again.

Eric does a great job, he takes pride in his work and is very detailed. He is extremely knowledgeable, I would highly recommend him.

I am thrilled with the work that was done. I live in a one level townhome. The electrical outlet in the floor was in a very awkward place which would cause people to trip. Before installing new flooring, I wanted to move that outlet. Eric came out promptly to evaluate the project and quickly provided the quote. The project involved cutting a three foot by 10 inch trench in the concrete from the existing outlet to the new location. Eric personally took care of the concrete work himself as it was not that common of a project. He also coordinated the electrical work. I appreciated the care Eric took through the entire project. He went above and beyond by patching the hole in the drywall that the electrician had to make to access the electrical box connecting to the floor outlet. After working with Eric on this project, he will be my go-to for any future home projects I have!

Quality work and professionalism. We love our new kitchen. When the general contractor wasn't doing her job, Eric swooped in and rescued the operation. He's a total pro.

Eric was knowledgeable, friendly and fairly priced. I have had him do work on my house in the past for various projects that were outside of my ability, and will continue to use him going forward!

It went fantastic! When my wife and I moved into our new house, we needed two rooms painted right away otherwise we knew it wouldn’t get done for a while. Even though Eric’s painters were tied up, he still came in on the day of closing and prepped and painted for us while we were moving in. He came back right away the next morning and finished up. The paint looks fantastic and service was even better! We also discussed future projects to give us some ideas for remodels, costs, etc. which was very helpful. EC Construction will be doing all of our future work going forward!

As perfect as a remodel can go! There are always challenges and small hiccups, that's for sure, but this one went very smoothly and the work was done meticulously. Eric is super friendly and easy to talk to. He has an impeccable attention to detail and is always going the extra step for his clients.

Eric gave us a prompt, detailed bid and talked us through options for the job to help us determine what we could do and he could. We did some of the work ourselves (demo, light fixtures) to help us save money. His price was fair and less than some others. Since we are used to doing home renovations ourselves, it was a bit of sticker shock at what it actually costs to have someone do the work for us. But his work is worth it!! He was very professional, a good communicator, kept in close touch and answered questions promptly as the project progressed. We bought the tile and paint and we was great telling us when we needed to have supplies on site. He and his crew were tidy and cleaned up at the end of each day as the bathroom is upstairs. He put down drops up the stairs and down the hallway to keep the mess to a minimum. They did what they said they would and were there on schedule. Eric did the tiling, framing, a custom door modification to add a vent and finish carpentry himself and used subs for plumbing and drywalling/painting. All did a fine job. He made sure we were happy with the work and is willing to answer our questions about other projects also. We will use Eric for other jobs in our 100+ year old house as he is used to working on these old ones. Thanks for the great work Eric!

Exceeded our expectations, master bathroom is as nice as I have ever seen, sub-contractors were exceptional.

My kitchen remodel went great and thrilled with the results. I will be working with Eric again on remodeling my upstairs. He will be adding dormers, master bath and master closet. Looking forward to working with him again!

The tilework is gorgeous and Eric worked with us throughout the project as we served as our own project managers. He provided advice and insights for design and where to purchase the various items needed for the project's completion. Eric was flexible with the timeline when we had an unexpected medical situation arise.

I would definitely hire him again. He did a great job.

Thanks to Nadia and Eric they made the whole experience go smoothly. We ran into a couple of issues, Eric came up with good solutions and was able to get workers out in a timely manner to make the changes necessary to complete the job. Eric's provided a timeline and was able to follow that for the most part until unforeseen issues. Even then he quickly found resolutions and got them fixed. We are happy with our kitchen and would highly recommend Eric!!!!

The project went very well. Eric did a great job framing up the shelves and hanging the cement board. I could not have asked for more. The project only turned out so well because of the pre-work done by Eric.

The service and work were fantastic. They were prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. The work was done quickly but right, and I will definitely hire EC Construction again in the future for any of my remodeling/construction needs!

The tear out went very quickly. It turned out that there were some issues regarding water damage to the floorboards, but Eric replaced that and was able to level the surface with concrete to help prevent a repeat of the issue in the future. The tile work was done by a subcontractor who did an excellent job. I recently sold my home, and many of the potential buyers commented on the appearance of the master bathroom work. I'm sure it helped sell the home.

The job turned out superb and everybody that has seen it remarked on the finishes and the overall finished product.Eric was very professional and opened my eyes to a lot of potential failures due to bad workmanship from past contractors.repairs were made and had zero problems with eric or anyone sub contracting for him.I would not hesitate a moment to hire Eric again and will.

Eric does exceptional work. High end product at an affordable price. Very responsive and easy to work with. Accommodating with scheduling. Leaves the jobsite very clean. I would recommend EC Construction to anyone who wants their house to look like a million dollars with out spending a fortune.

Eric of EC construction is great to work with. I had a very complicated kitchen remodel to achieve. I got several bids and he was in the middle. He came to the house exactly when he said would and immediately took over. The old kitchen was out in one day! The remodel was done on schedule with only one unforseen event. The moving of the microwave hood vent took only one extra day. The finish quality of the work is amazing. It looks like a gourmet kitchen right out of Better Homes and Gardens. Eric made a difficult situation seem very easy.

First of all, Eric was the first of 2 other contractors who was willing to accommodate our job despite being committed to multiple other jobs. We realized our project was not the largest, but it was still important to us to have the tiling done professionally and not 6 months out from the bid. Eric's bid was fair and he did not stray from the original quote upon completion (something we've experienced several times), which was quite refreshing. We were completely aware that there were unforeseen challenges after beginning the work and he suspected he would try to modify the final bill after he'd finished, but then the strangest thing happened.... He didn't! This goes a long way to creating happy advocates and not simply customers. Happy advocates write glowing reviews (like this!) whereas a satisfied customer may not have any inclination to do so. When it came down to the day-to-day, Eric was thoughtful and consistent with his communication and notified us before he showed up or if his plans had to change. The work was completed within the estimated original time frame and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. We fully intend to work with Eric again in the future. it's funny how motivated you can become to find new projects once you've established trust with a professional who is equipped to tackle all manner of tasks.
