Greg came in and looked at the area that was to house the new cabinets. While my wife had some ideas based on research she had done, Greg took them and refined them into working plans that exceeded even my wife's expectations. We told him that they needed to be done by Thanksgiving, giving us time to decorate for an upcoming party the 2nd of December.. He admitted it would be tight but that he could probably get it done. He invited us to his home so we could see the remodel that he did in his basement and to display the quality of his work. He provided a quote and we agreed to have him provide the cabinets..
As he started into the project, we delayed him somewhat by not ordering the hearth stone immediately. We waited until we had the base cabinets partially installed so we could make a choice on what stone and color would work best. We ordered the stone and after a couple of weeks delay, the stone finally arrived and was able to be placed in position. While we were waiting for the stone, Greg continued to work on the uppers for the cabinets as well as the facing to cover the ugly brick originally used. He brought the pieces in as they were completed but before being finished so that we could approve what was being done, or make suggestions on changes we might think would work.
Happily for us, when we saw the work he as performing, we couldn't think of a thing that would be an improvement. The only time anything was changed or added was at his suggestion. One such item was a pull out shelf below the top of the lower cabinet. It acts as a cutting board, or temporary platform for holding things as they are being arranged. He provided that at no charge to us.
As I looked at the work as it progressed, I decided that the room would be enhanced with crown molding around the room in the same maple that was being used for the shelves. He looked at the room and after a few minutes of study and thought, he agreed. Now that the room is completed, I can't picture it without the crown.
We highly recommend Greg to anyone seeking cabinets of any kind. He's efficient, honest a extremely detail oriented. 10+ for the job he did for us and we will be having him back in the new year to do additional work at the house.
