After speaking with Chris who was very knowledgable, Drain King sent Jimmy out the next day to look at the situation. He walked around my house to assess the situation and went above and beyond even though it turned out to be an issue with a sewage pump. We weren't sure if it was the responsibility of the city or not but he waited to make sure the city didn't try to push off the blame. It turned out to be my responsibility but thanks to Drain King and Jimmy I now have an understanding of the problem that One Hour Rooter couldn't figure out. In fact they were completely wrong in their assessment of the situation. Do yourself a favor. and skip the rooter companies advertising on price only to tryto upsell you on outrageously expensive and unnecessary solutions. Call a reputable company like Drain King where they won't try to take advantage of you and know what they are doing. I've never had a better experience with a company I've hired to address a problem in my home. I couldn't recommend them more.

Technician called to let me know that he was available and could come over earlier than scheduled. Worked for me. Within a few minutes, he had diagnosed the problem and let me know what the issue was before proceeding. In less than one hour, the tech, diagnosed, repaired and resolved the issue. Best drain cleaning service I've ever had.

Drain King was great. They had a reasonable price. The venting is still very good ever since they came out two years ago. I will definitely use them again in the future.

First he tried clearing the drain in the shower thinking that was the challenge. Although it was a challenge it wasn't the major challenge. Then he (we) searched for the cleanout and after finding it having toremove the cover which was and quot;frozenand quot; in place after 37 years. Next had to remove the toilet and used that drain as an access to clearing the main back up. That worked and was cleared. Then the toilet was set back in place and a new cover was installed on the cleanout opening. Then he cleaned up any mess that was left from the work. Job well done by Brandon Rogers, Drain Technician.

This went well - they intitially did not want to do the vent cleaning - the section from the floor of the basement up to the first floor sink - but when it became clear that this was at least the initial attempt to address reoccuring clogs - it was done and fairly quickly. Apparently this is not a nice job to do and it mucks up the equiptment. While they were in the pipes - they actually went all the way out to the street. This cleaning actually solved the glugging noise we had been experiencing for years and we have not had a clog since.

Drain King was the 3rd vendor I tried. The 1st after setting a time to send someone out - let me know they were would be later than expected and if I my outside drain pipes were frozen - they would have to come back the next day. I told them to forget it. The next day I tried a plumbing service I had used before - but when their person got to my house they said they could check but if the cause was a frozen drain pipe - they wouldn't be able to thaw it for me - so sent them on the way. I then found Drain King using Angie's list. They scheduled a time for the next day. About 40 minutes before the time window I was given their Tech called me to get more info on the problem. He said he would stop to get the equipment he needed and be at my house in about 40 minutes. He arrived at my house a few minutes before me. He had already trudged around to the back of my house and determined that I was indeed had very frozen passage to the sewer and had his equipment to thaw it already charging up. In less than 20 mintues - he had me thawed and was ready to head out! I recieved a discount for having used Angie's list - and some suggestions on how to avoid the same problem in the future. I am definitely keeping their number handy in case I have a problem again!

Drain King also took pictures and said they thought it was a toot ball and that they would try to remove that before anything else was done. They were right on..............it was indeed a root ball. I will only use Drain King in the future. They were honest, came immediately and their diagnosis was right on. Thank you Drain King!!

I have used Drain King multiple times over the past years to clear my main sewer line. I live in an older house in an older neighborhood and roots are a common problem. As usual, about every 2 years I needed to use their service. I called on the evening of Sunday, Nov 11 and they were able to come out on Monday, Nov 12 in the afternoon. They cleared the problem in about an hour and everything was fine. My wife and I returned from an 8-day trip late on Friday, Nov 30, so no water was used for an 8-day period. On Sunday, my wife did a few loads of laundry and the line backed up again. I called this morning (Mon, Dec 3) and was able to make an appointment for this afternoon. A few hours later, I got a call from them saying that they were not able to warranty their work and they would need to charge me to come out again. Only 3 weeks after the issue (and 1 week of no use) and they can't warranty their work????
When I asked why it was not warrantied, they told me that it was because they were not able to do it the right way the first time, therefore could not warranty the work. So, they didn't do it right and won't warranty it. And they never mentioned any of this to me when they were done originally, only when I called back.
I told them that if I'm going to get charged again anyway, I'm going to call someone else that will do it right and/or stand behind their work. Never again, Drain King.

Floor drain backed up - had happened about 16 months ago and Drain King cleaned the mainline at that time; they had advised that it would need regular cleaning but suggested before setting a schedule to wait until problem occurred again (assuming I was ok with another small backup in future) to determine the timing of regular maintenance. They had also let me know that I had only a 4and quot; pipe all the way to the street. I assumed it was the main again, but that checked out clear. The problem was the laundry - sewer line and that was cleaned and cleared. He strongly suggested I start using lint filters on my washer hose (I was relying only on a strainer in the laundry tub drain and he explained why that was inadequate.

Cleaned out main drain to sewer. Initial cleaning was on a Sunday. Very quick to arrive. Used equipment on had to clear drain and take care of problem. Problem recurred a week later. Used more powerful tool to clear problem. Have not had a problem since. Only had to pay for one service call. Return visit was free. Very responsive each time we called.

Was told to call Drain King as the plumber was unable to remove object from our bathtub drain pipes. Drain King came out, cable went into pipes, but then got stuck. Spent next 2.5 hours trying to remove the cable. Cable ended up getting cut and left in our pipes. We went from a very slow draining tub to no tub for the next 3 days as this happened right before the weekend. Was charged $231, and was left worse off than we started. I was surprised by this billing practice. Would never use again nor would I recommend to anyone. What seemed like a simple fix turned into a disaster - holes cut in our ceiling, etc.

Drain King was sent out by a different plumbing contractor to handle our
backed up main line. We did not know this at the time, but found out
once we complained to the primary plumbing company about service. Here
are the issues: 1. Machine they arrived with had holes in the auger's
drum, meaning they had to tape it closed before use. So, they had to
wait for the machine to warm-up (cold from being in van) before doing
this. This involved the machine sitting on the floor and no work
getting done for 20-25 minutes. Even so, it still came undone and flung
sewage everywhere. They tried to charge us for the time to wait for
the machine to warm-up (doing nothing). 2. discovered they didn't use
the main clean-out for the sewer, used a secondary one; this resulted in
them having to use a smaller blade (4 inch instead of 6 inch); this didn't
clean out as well (only discovered this with new plumber who was more thorough in finding
the clean out), 3. They chipped a wall moving the machine around, 4.
When they resealed the sewer cap, it later leaked...leaking sewage onto
the floor. They were very expensive, had to have a different company
come out this year (prompting this review) to repeat the process - and
prompting subscribing to angie's list. The new company charged far less,
was twice as thorough, and didn't fling sewage everywhere. I will
never use this company (Drain King) or the plumbing contractor who sent
them again.

Jason arrived promptly at 1pm. He studied the drain situation in the utility room and immediately started to work. Within an hour, the drain was cleared. I am impressed by the way he attack the problem. It shows he really knows his profession.

Our main sewer line was completely plugged, and Drain King was able to send out staff on a standard call a few hours after calling them. Adam showed up on time with a cheerful demeanor, removed the damaged cap on the cleanout and was running a snake down the drain line in short order. in 30-45 minutes he had cleared the line, pulling several cubic feet of roots out. He also had a high degree of confidence that the line was not damaged. Cleanup afterwards was thorough. Based on my experience I absolutely recommend this company to anyone who asks, and they'll be my first call as needed in the future.

My main sewer line is more than the standard 100' of cable that is typically run out. I always tell them over the phone and am prepared to pay the extra fee for the additional cable. This time around, the plumber hit and cleared the clog at about 40 feet out and asked if he wanted me to still put on the extra cable. I told him that since he was already there, we might as well run it all the way out. He suggested just running the 100' out and see how everything looked before adding the extra cable and therefore the extra charge. After running out the 100 feet and not hitting any more clogs, water was flowing great. He said he would still run the extra 50 feet if I wanted, however he didn't think it needed to be done and if it was him, he would just save the money, which I did.

This is the third or fourth time I've used Drain King over the years and they never disappoint. The first time I used them was about 6 months after I had used another company that had supposedly ran cable all the way out the street. Drain King pulled out a huge pile of roots and said there is no way that the other guys had run all the way out to the street with all the roots that he had pulled out. Since then, Drain King are the only people I call.

I called on a weekend. Because I did not have a major backup problem (as long as I did not use my washer I was not having the drain back up into my basement) she recommended I wait until they could send someone without having to pay extra for after hours. Chris arrived on time and checked out a couple of other possibilities first to be sure it was a main drain problem. He cleaned the drain efficiently and quickly, gave me advice on how often to clean the drain in the future, and had even found a bottle of household cleaner to use to clean a cap in my finished room before he left. He also explained that I had an unusual system because rather than widening to 6" mine stayed at 4" all the way. Was totally satisfied and will definitely use them again.

We didn’t really like what was said about them online. However, it worked out very well when they were referred back from another company. They charged around $300 for their service. They made a big mess, but they apologized a lot. Then they cleaned it all up and offered to do more. My daughter was here and she said that is all that had to be done. We would use their services again.

This is the second time I have used Drain King in a couple of years and both times they were extremely responsive and fixed the problem. However, this past time I would rate them a C because they did not have the courtesy to put down any plastic or even wear boot covers when they were walking and bringing in equipment on my light colored carpet. I ended up having to hire a professional carpet cleaner who agreed that the marks were made by the equipment and had to be professionally cleaned (another large expense). I also had to scrub down the back storage area from all the dirt and depree he brought in. I was very disappointed because I had used them before and they were so much more professional the first time.

At initial call to DRAIN KING all info on problem was taken down and we were told someone would call us when he was on his way. In under 2 hours Jesse called and within 15 minutes of that he arrived. He immediately went to work and had the drain cleared within 20 minutes. Very professional, very quick.
