Dependable Automotive Service

I was concerned I had some physical damage to the underside of my vehicle. When I called I spoke with the owner and I was told I could bring it in and they would take a look and provide an estimate. It was my understanding there would not be charge for this visual inspection. I was also due for an oil change, and was told that would be $25 or $35.
When I got there, I found out the oil change would be $75. Turns out I needed full synthetic oil. I understand this to be my error in not knowing this and specifying when asking the price. However, I would think that the shop would clarify when giving me oil change prices. Epecially when I told them it was a new car and when I got there I was told it's common and most people aren't made aware when purchasing the vehicle. I was also told they would not raise the car for the visual inspection without charging me a fee.
I'm not typically prone to miscommunication; however I acknowledge it is possible in this situation. The less than impressive experience with this business may fall partly on my shoulders.
Staff was very friendly. However, I doubt I will return.

They're outstanding and consistently excellent. If they find a problem, they explain what it is. They're competent and nice to work with. They don't do services that aren't needed. I give them A's across the board.
