DaBella - Minneapolis

They came to my door one day and said that they'd do a free quote for my windows. I only wanted to get a quote and told them from the start that I wasn't interested in buying. The next day 2 sales reps come in and measure the windows. It was going along well until they get to their sales pitch. I said I wasn't interested in buying and I kept trying to get a quick quote out of them, but they kept pushing it back and saying how qualified they were and all the qualifications their window installers have. I told them I wasn't interested and that I would be looking into getting them down myself once I have enough money saved up to purchase the windows. Next the sales rep named Jayden started using a condescending tone and pretty much disparaging me to my face. He kept saying how I need to pull this permit, how my house is built in this time period, so I would need this extra qualification, and this and that. Basically doing everything in his power to dissuade me from even thinking about doing it myself. I stayed firm on my decision that I will figure that out when I'm closer to saving an enough money up, so he made a phone call to his manager. The entire conversation on the phone he was just calling me inexperienced and saying I don't know what I'm doing and how I'm going to just use windows from home depot. I'm not even sure if he was actually talking to a manager, but the whole time he kept chuckling and smiling pretty much putting me down. I got quite irritated and said to leave the house if you were going to be talking about me like that. He just kept smiling at me and chuckling to himself and wouldn't leave. Once he was off the phone, they stayed for an extra 20 minutes until they were satisfied showing me the difference between the different types of windows and heat transfer with a heat lamp. At this point I was quite irritated and kept saying that I just wanted a quote during the entire showing of the display, but they said they don't have it yet. I just want to say that the other sales rep that was with Jayden was fine, he wasn't condescending or anything, but he didn't talk all that much during the interaction, so I can't say how he would be if was the main person giving the sales pitch. Overall with just the sales people alone and from the reviews I read about this company after having this interaction, I would say to never go with this company. The final quote they gave me was so overpriced compared to average prices I can get from actual local contractors. I also read that they just subcontract their work out and squeeze every dollar they can out of them. If you are penny pinching that hard for the highest profit margin you can get and you aren't the ones that are actually doing it, how can you expect the job to actually be done well. If you take one thing away from this review, it is to avoid this company at all costs. They will make it seem like they have all this work piled up and they are doing you a favor by allowing them to do work for you, but that is all a facade to get the most money out of you as they can. By the way, the attached image is for quotes in the South Minneapolis area of Minnesota.

Not impressed. The saleman was great, didn't get to deal with him again. They called to schedule the install they said between 8-10AM, the workers showed up around 3PM, which was difficult since they didn't speak any english. The contractor showed up about a half hour later with no explanation or call for the delay. I cancelled a meeting to be there. They said they would be on site the whole time and have a QA after, once the balance was paid they disappeared. I just happened to see the work truck leave, without any notice. Went outside, had to move everything back in place that they said they would do. Picked up a pieces of metal and nails all around the house, still have several on top of the clear roof of pergola. Just disapointed with the amount Debella charges, you should get more for you $. Could have gone cheaper or done it myself, but the salesman was good. DeBella says customer service is #1...not so much.

It has been a complete nightmare to get this place to fix anything. The caulking job they did was horrible it was like it was their 1st rodeo. They installed a windows thar is now stationary and I hate it because we wanted another awning windows but the sales man did it his way. We have a Crack that has been there since day 1 and another windows is idk coming apart or something but it's poofed out. The windows are nice but they are total crap of a company

Some hiccups with communication between the contractors and their admin. They forgot to put some things in but it was fixed later on

26% above the quote. Once my old roof was ripped off, DaBella called me to approve a work-order change. They quoted 7 sheets of plywood for re-sheathing the roof, but needed 39 plywood for an extra $5000 above the original quote. I complained to them about it, but never heard back. The quality of the roof is good, but I feel manipulated and ripped off. Dishonest quotes.

They tried asking me how many people lived in my home. They asked twice, they tried wording it differently, and I refused to answer. I told the scheduler that I thought the question was creepy and I was uncomfortable with them asking the question. They told me the meeting would be 90 minutes. Several hours after scheduling an appointment, I cancelled it, I had bad vibes about the company and now they call everyday. I read other reviews and I am glad I did not have them come out to my house. I blocked their number. THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE ON ANGI'S LIST! UNPROFESSIONAL AND CREEPY!

We are thrilled with our new gutters with covers! Logan was especially great to work with and represented the company with pride. We look forward to future projects with this company.

I had two inspectors come out to my residence to take a look at a roof leak and quote repairs. They were very knowledgeable and understanding. Excellent customer service!

I wanted to warn anyone who is considering debella for a roofing project. I had a roof inspection from another company claiming I had hail damage. My roof is old and we did have hail in the last year so i decided it was time to start taking quotes for a roof replacement. I started an Angi search for contractors and chose the ones I wanted to take quotes from. Debella was not one of these companies, debella repeatedly reached out to me but I decided I would get a quote from them anyways. When the sales rep got to my house I made it clear that I would not be making any decisions today I’m just taking quotes. After an hour of high pressure sales tactics to make a decision about the project today I had told the rep probably about 20 times I wouldn’t make a decision today and the original price for the quote went from over $31000 to just over $15000 after the 4th price drop. She said she would take money off of the price if we gave good reviews on facebook, Angie and google and if we allowed them to take before and after pictures for advertising and allowed them to put a sign in the yard. It seemed shady to me that they are willing to buy these reviews and it also didn’t seem right that by me simply objecting to the price it was cut in half. The financing was a whole concerning situation as well - they offered 15 years of paying 15%, when I said I’m not looking to pay on this for 15 years, then it was said I could finance for 5 years at 0%. This company is clearly trying to take advantage of people by pressuring them to buy and at twice the cost and with interest for 15 years if you don’t ask questions . Had they come to this with there best price /finance first and allowed us time to consider our options we may have considered them but clearly they aren’t in the business of customer service.

Cheng was just a great person to talk to gets down to business it’s very helpful at his job answers promptly on questions you ask about the company and the performances there company will do he’s very politeful I see him going far .

I have a signed contract for 3 2x4 skylight replacements during roof replacement. The 3rd party installer called me at work to tell me to come home and see that there were no skylights shipped with materials and that my existing skylights were much larger than 2x4. I called my sales team lead, Blake Gallinger who said we would work out how to do the refund by the end of the day. He came to my home, showed me the materials list that said "3 skylights" and said, "Those are just flashing kits and my team made a mistake" He said there will be no refund of any kind....AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE! I showed him my signed contract with Dabella and highlighted the multiple places where it said 3 2x4 skylights would be replaced. He did not respond, and required me to take off work and fight for what is owed to me on my own time. If you live in or around Minnesota. DO NOT USE DABELLA! The most dishonest and misleading sales experience I have ever seen!

These guys were a joke. they do not deserve a star. They used a PowerPoint presentation as their sales pitch and took up 90 minutes of time INSIDE my house. Totally not necessary. I already had two other quotes and they verbally quoted us twice as much. They left behind a quote sheet that had been used for someone else and it just had a bunch of kindergarten scribbles on it. Totally unprofessional. How did they ever get on Angi?

Nick Feldewerd was our rep and he was great. Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Made me feel at ease knowing our project was in good hands. I would highly recommend him and the Dabella team.

Very well. Jimmy was our contractor and was very professional courteous, an knowledgeable. He knew what he was talking about. He spoke in a way that was understanding. His quote was "WE ONLY DO WHAT WE ARE GREAT AT". I would recommend Jimmy and DaBella to do your contracting needs. Great job Jimmy

Working with deballa has been horrible. i will never recommend this company to any one. Our job is going on 3 months past due with not a single call or email from anyone until i left a bad google review then like magic the next day i get a phone call. 1 specialty window was found to be broken and pushed out probably another few months. sub contractor crews broke 2 more windows and up and left at 10 am with no word. local dabella employees give you the go around and are useless. Also the windows we ordered were to have single prairie pain style and do not. I am now looking into legal services to void this contract and job all together.

Jaylia has been a joy to work with. Genuine and good at her job, she balances warmth and accessibility, with efficiency and knowledge. When she came into our home to assess our windows and give an estimate, she was understanding about our chaotic household - working beautifully with our rambunctious dogs, and kindly engaged our daughter throughout the process. We had a lot of challenging work that needed to be done on our windows (our home is 1920’s, with original windows), and a tight budget. She applied creativity to help us formulate a contract that met the needs of the home, and rescued our renovation budget. We are so excited to be getting new windows in our home, and Jaylia is the reason we feel confident in working with DaBella on this project.
