Excellent! Chris did excellent work and made improvements beyond our initial assessment of the job. He is very skilled and efficient. Our old walls look beautiful! He is easy to work with.

We hired Dmitri to retile a bathroom floor in our house which is over 100 years old. A lot of plumbing had to be redone and, not surprisingly, there were a number of unexpected snags along the way. Dmitri did a great job of coordinating everything. We ended up having him install tile wainscoting as well. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. Our floor and wall is beautiful. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Dmitri again.

We were very pleased. The technician worked long and hard to get a stuck toy out of our drain, he was courteous and diligent. We would definitely use them again.

Chris acid washed the tile to remove soap deposits, then removed and replaced the existing caulk and grout. He also cleaned the fixtures; they now shine like new. We opted to have the grout sealed.
The process took two days. Chris did an amazing job! The tile now looks beautiful and brand new. I'd recommend this option to anyone considering replacing tile that has lost it's luster.
If there was one thing I could change, it'd be to find a better way to protect the tub while working (maybe tape a tarp or thick sheet of plastic around it); there was one scratch made in the tub when Chris was removing the old grout. We should be able to touch it up it's a little bit of a bummer. Overall, Chris is a very careful and conscientious worker and we are happy with the results.

I first hired Chris at Cutting Edge to tackle the tile in my 1st floor bathroom in March 2012. The bathtub tile had never been properly grouted when I purchased the house four years prior and I never addressed the issue until this year. Chris explained in detail what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Chris cleaned and regrouted the tile and cleaned and recaulked the edges of the tub etc. Not only did he complete the project on time, but I was thrilled with the results and ndash; I felt like I now had a completely new bathroom! The bathtub area had transformed into something I could barely look at into something truly stunning. Impressed with his workmanship, I then hired Chris to clean and seal some new quartzite tile I had installed in my bedroom, and I was again 100% pleased with his work. Whenever we need more tile work done in our house and I will not hesitate to turn to Chris for his expertise and work each time and ndash; he is thorough, professional, prompt, and extremely trustworthy.

Chris was friendly and professional in our initial meeting, as well as phone conversations we had during the process. During the project, he called with questions about my preference on how to handle an issue that arose, which I appreciated. The finished work looks beautiful! He was able to match the look of the spray texture in the adjoining room perfectly. The smooth surfaces look brand new. When it comes to clean up, I found a teeny tiny pile of plaster dust in one little corner, which, to me, is a pretty great job of cleaning up, considering the amount of dust that was created. I am very pleased with how everything went.

The finished shower was beautiful and looks like it will last for quite a while. Chris also provided cleaning recommendations. The work was done over a period of about 1 and 1/2 weeks. This allowed time for everything to dry out between steps. Also, I had not yet moved in so it was easy for Chris to take the time to find different shade options for the replacement tile and then leave them in the townhouse for me to review after work. The bathroom and work area were completely cleaned up when the work was done.

We hired New Day after seeing so many great reviews on Angie's list, especially regarding great plaster work. We have a 1935 home that just had all the plumbing replaced, resulting in many large holes cut in several walls and ceilings; we wanted someone who could restore the walls to their original condition. Chris Thompson (Cutting Edge) works with Kurt (New Day) and specializes in plaster work. He spent about a week working, being careful, considerate and cleaning up each day before he left. Chris' work is meticulous, beautiful and seamless. It's now impossible to see where the holes were, even when you are looking for them. Both Kurt and Chris painted and working together, they were able to do all the painting in one day. I would definitely recommend working with New Day, Kurt and Chris! We are very happy with our finished home.

Cutting Edge worked with another company (New Day) to complete staining I had done in our home. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work. It was very evident that Chris takes great pride in the quality of his work and in meeting customer expectations. The level of care and detail that was taken to insure we were happy with the work, and with insuring our home was clean when they left was greatly appreciated.

They did very professional, prompt and efficient work. With his friendliness and attitude he made me feel so good about the work that was being done. He would even ask me every so often if the work that was being done looked okay which I thought was very reassuring and made me happy. :-)

It was a pleasure having these gentlemen work in our home. All were personable, professional, and their craftsmanship second to none. All the work was done in a timely fashion. We own a coffee shop and the only time the work could be done was the night hours. We asked the crew to work during the night and lock up when finished. The only sign they were there was a faint paint smell and a beautifully painted and clean room.
