When I started our quest for a contractor to fix our hail damage I wanted the repairs done by one company. I'm a bit of a pain in the *&^ with contractors. I will interview numerous companies and make a choice from that point. I contacted Craftsmen and was very happy with our first phone call. When I met with Erik I was sold immediately. Over the course of 8 months He proved to be knowledgeable, helpful, and most importantly easy to work with. He spent a lot of time representing us with insurance adjusters, suppliers, and manufacturers. He was responsible for figuring out our window mess and did an awesome job. One of the biggest points I like about Craftsmen Home Improvements is they COMMUNICATE. I emailed Erik once and he called back within minutes. The Craftsmen Improvement folks communicated better than any contracting company I have ever done business with in the past. Whether it was siding or roofing, the crews were polite, clean, and on time. I think our window issues turned our project into the project from h***. I cannot justify saying anything else but, the word perfection. I'm still amazed how well Craftsmen handled our project. I don't think I've had a better time working with a contractor. I couldn't be any more ecstatic about Erik's ability to handle a project, he impressed us every time we met with him. I am amazed with 2 other folks. Tommy and Jimmy the two insanely talented window installers, to somebody who didn't watch them might say they took their time. Not me I saw the methodical way they installed our windows and I was floored. Watching them put a 4ft X6ft window in our living room, while it was snowing was amazing. I had more fun interacting with them over the 10 or so days they installed our windows than I've had with a contractor before this project. If a reader wants a short review I will put it this way. If a reader needs a roof, siding, and or windows do yourself a favor call Craftsmen Home Improvements!!! They will be on time, communicate, work with you, be professional, and get the job done RIGHT!! To all the folks we have worked with at Craftsmen Home Improvements THANK YOU!!! We chose this company because we liked the sales rep (Jim), their quote was competitive with others and the were able to do both the roof and insulation - (other roofers were just that - roofers - and gave us the name of an insulation guy..) Jim was friendly, professional, knowledgable and helpful when he came out to give the estimate. He also came back to do some of the trickier work with the venting of the soffits himself. Communication with the office to pick out shingles, schedule the work, make payments, etc. was always easy (used email and phone). They were scheduling about a month out at the time. Joan was very helpful and friendly. As we were deciding on shingle colors, she gave us addresses of roofs they had done in our area which was helpful. The workers were prompt and hard working. Completed the work in two (long) days. We were happy with the clean up and the dumpster was removed promptly. Would recommend to anyone.

This company was helpful and thorough in the pre-sales quoting and product selection work. Once materials were delivered and the work crew started, work went rapidly, even through a very hot summer. Understandably, the crew did stop work early during some extremely hot days for safety reasons. My siding looks great!

They did a great job, they were very efficient, friendly in the process, and we found a good economical way to add some insulation to my 100-yo house.

The installation went seamlessly. Dan and his crew are professional and friendly - they make it easy to do a project.

Once we were able to coordinate our schedules, the workmen showed up on time. They placed good floor coverings that protected my hardwood floors. Most of the work was accomplished from the outside of the house so there was not much traffic going in and out. That was nice since it was February and in Minnesota. The appointment was for the morning and I had not yet shoveled the last snowfall in the driveway. The guys pitched right in and cleared the snow before starting their work. Everyone was professional and polite. It was like having friends over, except when they left they cleaned up after themselves. The job was finished sooner than the estimated time and before I knew it they were all packed up and gone. I have other projects in my home waiting to be done and Craftsmen will be the first ones I call for an estimate.

Craftsmen provided excellent information about the options we had for roofing materials, gave a timely estimate, keep us well informed as the job progressed, finished on time, and did great clean up. A quality job!

The crew arrived about 15 minutes after their designated time but were very apologetic. They were very neat and professional and timely in their work. They answered all my questions and performed their jobs well. Well organized and efficient. Felt very comfortable with foreman in his knowledge of job to be done.

My house is 21 yrs old, and has the original insulation which was code at the time, but it has packed down over the years, and is not as deep as todays code requires.. The salesman who came out to do the evaluation was honest about the fact that nothing could be done about the cathedral ceiling - that needs to be done in conjunction with putting on a new roof, which I don't need as my roof is only 5 yrs old. I went ahead with the job anyway, and hopefully it will make a difference. The workmen who did the job were efficient, neat and polite.

My experience with Craftsmen Home Improvements couldn't have been better. I discovered them through Angie's List when a Big Deal coupon was offered. I purchased the offer but when I had an estimate done, it turned out my job wasn't big enough to qualify. While I was disappointed, I was happy that I felt like I was given a fair, competitive estimate without the coupon being a factor in pricing. Jim, the person doing my estimate assured me that if I had any issue getting a refund from Angie's List, they would take the coupon and get things corrected for me. All of the staff that I had interactions with were very friendly. Jim did the estimate and answered all of the questions without problem. When I had the actual work done, the foreman, Matt, was very friendly and professional. Everyone showed up promptly to perform the work and it was completed very quickly. I was working from home the day that it was done and the workers were non-disruptive. They did a great job cleaning up after they were complete and the insulation work I had done looked fantastic. I think they may have even added a little extra insulation beyond what I was invoiced for. I was also applying for a rebate from my natural gas provider based on the work being performed. After the work was completed, I found a problem with how the invoice was written, making me unsure if I was able to qualify for the rebate. I emailed Joan about it and got a corrected invoice and pre-filled rebate forms from her later that same day. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Craftsmen Home Improvements again.

Very prompt and professional. Worked directly with insurance company regarding claim. Crew should up when promised and were very courteous. They cleaned up all debris and left very little mess. Would definitely use them again.

They did everything on time, and it looked beautiful! They did additional work for us at no charge, and checked with us often. It was an amazingly positive experience. When they could not remount a light, they hired an electrician to do it. It was perfectly completed, and looked better than we imagined it could.

Craftsmen was very good to work with. We heard back from them shortly after making the initial request for a bid. They didn't come in the lowest for price (though very close), but they more than made up for that with communication and timeliness. They were honest in the initial inspection of the roof, in which they discovered we had asbestos in our chimney that needed to be removed. It was good to know they were looking at all the pieces. After we solved our chimney problem, they came out and replaced the roof in under the time they quoted. They were very professional, straight-forward and task-focused. We also didn't get any surprises on our final invoice, which was nice.

It was a very smooth overall process. Great company to work with. Jim initially came out and did the bid. Very professional. On the day of the job Matt came out promptly and did a great job. Initially we were planning to install new sofit vents but upon closer inspection realized they were good to go. Matt took pictures of current vents and emailed them to me so I could view while at work. Great experience and would not hesitate to use them for other jobs in the future.

Very easy. Jim from Craftsman was very knowledgeable and helpful when going over the interior of our home, and the crew that did the work was courteous and efficient. These guys worked in minus zero degree weather in an unheated garage area for several hours. Kim followed up promptly with us to make sure all was to our satisfaction. Everyone was easy to get a hold of and clear in their communications.

Right from the beginning I was impressed with the representative from CHI. he was extremely poliet and explained every thing that needed to be done and explained the price for each. he also went as far as to to make a temporary fix on the largest hole in the roof so there would not be any rain coming through the roof until the scheduled roof replacement would take place. During the inspectino of the roof, the representative notice that there was a wasp nest starting on one of the eaves. Unfortuantely I did not have any wasp spray but lucky for me he had some in his truck. He took care of that problem for me too. The actual work to the roof was done very quickly, and I was impressed with how clean the yard was after. Great company. I will definately check into having them finish the house with a new paint job :)

Wonderful job and work. Craftsmen work and professionalsim were outstanding. We originally asked for an estimate a year prior to the completion of the job but we had to put it on hold. When we were ready to go forward, Craftsment was able to pick up the thread without any difficulty and the job was completed. Great communication from the contact person/contractor, Erik. The work was excellent. Jim was great to work with in estimating the job, and Matt was great to work with as the foreman. They even went beyond the contract in providing excellent service, doing more than was in the contract in an effort to provide the very best service. They were on time, worked efficiently, did a superb job, and cleaned up completely afterwards. I have only good things to say about every one I dealt with, including Kim and Joan in the office. I will definitely use them again if I have any more remodeling work.

Craftsman did a great job, especially as we discovered additional work to be done on the replacement of our roof. The way they handled that; everything from how I was notified, the way we discussed options and the work done was superb.

Windows are great and the installers did a nice job, I would recommend these guys to anyone. The only issue we had was scheduling, we were origanally to 1 month to get them installed when actually it took 3 months.

From start to finish, Craftsmen was on time, honest, up front with costs, and excellent quality. They educated us on the world of picking out windows, and the different ones you can purchase.

We had an excellent experience with Craftsman Home Improvement. They were prompt, professional and responsive to our needs. They cleaned up the job site as expected and then once I had a chance to inspect the work, I called in and asked for a few adjustments. Jim came out promptly and took care of my concerns. I made the decision to go with Craftsman’s based on their Angie's List reviews and I am an extremely happy customer. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

My home was build in 1969 and it was determined that there was little to no insulation in the attic. It took the better part of a day for Craftsman Home Improvements to install the insulation, which has resulted in reduced heating & air conditioning bills.

It went well from start to finish.

They came out and surveyed the work to be done, provided an comprehensive quote and line itemed any options we had. They had an electrician come out for the bath fan addition who was also excellent. Professional, Punctual and Polite. Will definitely call them again if we have a project for them.
