 + -1 moreIn spite of repeated attempts by the Association to resolve the issues Craftsman / Sherman has been completely UNRESPONSIVE to the homeowners in Bottineau Association.
Description of Work: We currently live in Bottineau West Townhomes in northeast Minneapolis. Craftsman was the builder. The overall design is nice but the quality of the construction is TERRIBLE. Windows leak during rainstorms. Cabinet doors are installed upside down and backwards! The standard cabinets are very cheap -- the shelves are particleboard and warp so badly that reinforcement in the middle of the shelf is needed. The taping on the sheetrock is sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. The wooden stair treads on the entryway are already cracked and deteriorating. The cost of the townhome was $292K and because of the real estate collapse is now worth less much than $200. Of course, Sherman isn't responsible for that, but the quality of the building is far from what I expected for the price we paid. This is not the quality of construction that I would expect from a builder who is owned by Sherman Associates who is one of the premier developers in the Twin Cities and receives contracts for many public projects. Hmmm. what's the connection with the DFL?
