CopperSmith Gutter Company

CopperSmith did a great job with our gutters.  I went with them because they were able to custom order some pre-painted steel half-round gutters that I wanted for the front of our house, which I was having trouble finding with other companies.  They also quoted me for standard alluminum gutters on the whole house, which came in comparable with other companies I had out for quotes.  The crew was good to work with and did a really nice job.  The project took about a day and a half. 
I get the sense they do more higher-end installs than some other companies, so they seem to be a little more willing to source product that has a more decorative/architectural look and go beyond standard alluminum gutters.  However, they did not push me into higher-end product and, as I said, their quote for standard alluminum gutters was competitive with other companies.
It did take a couple weeks longer to get out to our job than originally estimated.  But it wasn't a big deal to me since I wasn't in a hurry (we already had old gutters on the house, although they weren't working the greatest) and I didn't push them on it.  I would rather work with a busy company anyway, versus one that can start tomorrow (never a good sign). 

CopperSmith did an excellent job designing and installing copper gutters to the front of my house last summer.  They were competitively priced, provided excellent customer service, were on time and courteous.  This summer we had seamless gutters added to the side and back of the house.  Again, good price, excellent customer service and courteous.

I am VERY happy with CopperSmith Gutter. Let me say that if your only concern is price, then this probably isn't the company for you. However, the quality of their products (yes, there is a difference), installation and service justify the difference.
I interviewed and received estimates from 3 other companies, and chose CopperSmith. The owner consulted and estimated my small project, and since he also does most of the installations he knows his craft. He actually brought up concerns that other companies hadn't identified, and even brought up aesthetic issues and ideas in order to keep the character of my 1935 Tudor home. Definitely not something that other companies took into consideration. While they specialize in copper gutters, they also have a line of aluminum, which is what I chose (more cost effective). I wanted the customized features and details that you typically get with copper gutters and reflect the era of my house (without the price), so he worked with me to add aluminum leader heads on my gutters (something that the other companies didn't know how to do - and the salesman had never even heard of them).
Overall I achieved the look I was going and would highly recommend this company.

Ryan, the owner of CopperSmith, was extremely responsive and provided us with quotes on severel gutter options, including copper, leaf guarding and aluminum. His prices were as good as, or better than the other quotes we received. Due to other priorities, we actually waited over a year from the time of the first quote to the time we called him back. The crew of three arrived on the scheduled day at the stated time. Ours is a two-story home with a walkout and the terrain is uneven, so ladder-work was high and tricky. They had to replace some rotted fascia boards and did so routinely. For the cost of labor, they installed leaf guard screens that I bought at Menards. All in all, they did a great job and the gutters look very nice. The only aspect of our experience which wasn't ideal was communication and scheduling after our 25% deposit. When we gave Ryan the deposit, he said that he expected to be calling us within 1-2 weeks to schedule the work for the following week. Well, after a few calls to him 4 weeks after the deposit, we were able to schedule for the following Monday. Ryan said that he'd personally be stopping by the job to ensure that the crew was following through on all the details that we had discussed. I guess the day must have gotten away from him, as the next time we saw or heard from Ryan was about two weeks later, when we received the bill in the mail.

Nick was prompt and professional with his estimate. There were several challenging and potentially problematic areas with our roof and he took the time to listen to my thoughts and concerns and gave helpful suggestions. The crew arrived a little later than originally scheduled (noon instead of 9:00,) but called ahead to say when they expected to arrive. They worked hard and went over the job with me when they were finished. The gutters look great! They were a little more expensive than some other companies, but they also replaced the flashing with a better product, used larger gutters and provide a lifetime warranty on their work. Several neighbors have also used them and none have had complaints so far.

We had just bought our house, and before we used our wood fireplace, we wanted to make sure it was safe, clean, and functional.  They came when they said they would be there and got right to work.  They explained what they were going to do, made sure I was ok with it, talked me through how to use the dampers and ash bin, and talked with me about future repairs I may want to make down the road but weren't critical right now.

When I called to ask questions, they gave me all the information I needed including when they could schedule the service. When I called back to schedule they were able to work around my schedule. The did the work they said they would. Also, they moved whatever snow I asked them to from the piles of snow that they took off the roof, so that paths were cleared and the gas meter was cleared of snow. They were efficient and professional. I thought they did a good job.

I spent approximately $950. I used him because he could come and do. Everybody else was busy. He could come with a two man crew. I got one guy, but he charged $35 an hour for one guy. So I sent him back. Then I realized I had trouble getting people. They came when they said they would come. They did the work they are going to do. They are very honest. He was on the lower end of pricing. He is very professional.

We noticed water coming into the house and found CopperSmith on the list. They had people on site promptyly within an hour. CopperSmith has a two hour min for work, but their employees assured me the job would be finished within the time period. The ice damns were cleared where needed and the snow was removed from the roof within two hour period. I was impressed with how much work they completed within the time frame on a chilly day. Both employees were soaked, but you could tell they are very hard workers because we were the second house they worked on that day.

Had some slight leaking due to snow on roof and ice dams. Apparently this is a big issue this winter as every place I called was booked out 2 weeks. I knew I needed this done right away so I kept looking and luckily found CopperSmith Gutter! They were able to come out the next day and showed up in the timeframe given. They did a professional job in a time faster than anticipated saving me money. All in all I was very happy with the entire process.

My experience with Ryan at Coppersmith gutters was excellent. After obtaining three bids from various contractors I engaged Ryan to install new seamless gutters on our home. He was attentive, punctual, priced competitively and had great communication. His team that did the installation was engaging and made sure that all of my concerns were addressed. With the abundance of gutter companies out there I'm happy I choose Coppersmith. I would be willing to recommend Coppersmith gutter company to anyone looking for seamless gutters. Great job!

Overall, this was a terrific experience with Ryan and his company. Given the weather this winter and the number of ice dams across the Twin Cities, I wasn't expecting to find a company able to come out very quickly. To my pleasant surprise, Ryan offered next day service and delivered on that promise. He called several hours ahead of time to indicate he was running late, but arrived when he said he would, was efficient, professional, and did a great job removing the ice dam. The roof looks great.
