I called College Nannies for a nanny to watch my 2 year old while I worked with movers a week before my need. i had used them in the past with only minor hiccups. This was on a Monday. By Thursday, I had received no update so I called again. I was told they were working on it and they needed to update my payment information. By the time I calledon Friday, they were closed. Please note that no one is ever in the office until noonish and then they disappear right around 4. Monday rolled around and no nanny showed up. I called and no one was there again so I left a message a little past 9. I called the movers and my husband moved his schedule around so he could give the movers access to our old home. The movers thankfully sent an extra person to help so that everything got done in the window my husband had available. Sometime around11-ish, I got a call and the person said she was sorry but did I have any other future nanny needs she could schedule for me. I told her no. She was not very concerned and said she would send me an email. My husband's company uses College Nannies for on call child care when their employees need to be at work but need extra help with their kids. I am going to tell them how horribly I was treated and hope that maybe a severe overhaul of the lax employees will ensure something gets fixed.

I have been using College Nannies and Tutors since I returned to work unexpectedly when my child was 6 weeks old. I couldn't get into day care since I hadn't gotten on their list 6 months ahead of time, and my work schedule was going to be irregular. Their on-call nanny service were the most reasonable service I could find.
I found them to be the best possible service I could get. Of the 8 or so nannies I have had for the last 4 months, all were good with my son. I had slight issues with only two due to differences in communication preferences. The administrators were very good in responding to my concerns and have also made an effort to have the same person as the nanny for the days I schedule ahead of time.
Today's nanny is that regular person and she is wonderful. She has always been caring and loving to my son, and keeps him stimulated as well. My husband (who works at home) is continually impressed with the attention, conversation, and activities she does with him. He calls her a super nanny. She does more than we do with him! Each day she works with him on physical activities appropriate for his age and language skills, including sign language.
I found the administrators also very responsive to my requests, timely in getting nannies lined up, and after a glitch with my billing (I keep two accounts with them so I can distinguish and quot;workand quot; child care from personal child care), have been accurate in billing. Their online scheduler is great as it confirms the nanny and the times and nannies all register a report of how the day went with my son.
The service is more expensive than day care, but the quality of care is excellent.

They actually do complete background screening for their help. We have been using them for ten months. She has the job for the next two years, and she knows it.

Tutoring
Very responsive in returning calls and keeping me (the parent) updated to my child's progress. The tutor was very bright and at first intimidated my child who has test anxiety. That quickly passed and our tutor actually did more to help with the test anxiety and testing skills than any school counselor has. For that alone it was money well spent!

CNT met with us for an initial meeting, then set up four interviews for us. The candidates they sent us were all good, and we would have been happy with any of them. They also handled the billing aspect, and provided us with invoices every two weeks.
