Martha was recommended to me by a family friend who had used Martha's services multiple times. I am quite picky and had not liked other agents I had met when I was looking to buy a house in DC (but was not able to buy out there) so it was a relief when I met Martha and she was so easy to work with, fun, and laid back. My wife and I were buying a house in Minneapolis and living in DC so a lot of the communication we had with Martha was by email, which worked great. We then came to Minneapolis and agreed to see 16 houses in a single day with Martha (since we wanted to buy a house by the end of the week!).

Well, we fell in love with one of the houses and put an offer down with Martha the next day. Martha helped negotiate the price, set up the inspection,  facilitate getting bids from contractors (since we were out of the state), and so much more. When looking through the 16 houses, we felt comfortable walking out of a house if we didn't like it, and also asking any question we had no matter how simple it was. We never felt pressured at any point to make decisions or see something we weren't interested in, Martha was always looking out for our interests.

Martha has a lot of experience buying, selling and fixing houses and was extremely helpful in guiding us through the home buying process. She has a lot of knowledge, connections and opinions and really helped us make many decisions. This was our first house purchase and I can't imagine having done it without her. We plan on using Martha anytime we buy or sell in the future. She's phenomenal!

Martha was very willing to show us dozens (!) of properties on short notice and walked us through the ins and outs of first time home buying on condos and single family houses. She's also a carpenter/renovator so she knows about structural issues, efficiency etc. and offers to fix/upgrade/change something in the house (free of charge) after the closing. Martha provided lots of advice on repairs to the house and helped as we brought in tradespeople for bids. What else? She's just very down to earth and funny and personable--things you might want as you drive around looking for that perfect place.
