CLAY SQUARED TO INFINITY

1) Tile dimensions are erratic and inconsistent, resulting in a challenging install that takes about 50% longer - with good results only if you know what you're doing and use a laser level 2) Owner cancelled our order when we complained (without us ever asking for monetary compensation) , leaving us scrambling to find a replacement to complete the job. We found the tile dimensions were all over the place - more like rhombus than square. This was a tedious and challenging installation. The tiles were not provided on a web (which would have helped tremendously) and, after comparing competitor tiles, saw the glaze is allowed to slop over the sides, changing the dimensions. The owner recognized us when we complained online to warn other customers. Because we had a second order, he unilaterally cancelled our remaining order. We found a competitor's tile that, while also hand-cut and hand finished, were perfect - and provided on a web. I'll never let a customer order from this outfit again.

Clay Squared is a hidden jewel. I wish more people knew about it! The employees were very welcoming and accommodating. I picked over bins of tiles to find the colors I needed When I needed help finding certain colors, they generously pulled out samples and additional boxes. I made three trips before I had the right number and combination of tiles, and they were always incredibly helpful. The tiles are gorgeous! My new backsplash has so much character.
