Christy's Auto Service

I have used them for at least 3-5 years and have always been satisfied by them. They are quick, always abide by their estimates and do good work. I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

I have had all my auto work done by this company on my 15 year old vehicle for the last 10 years and will continue to do so as they are trustworthy, easy to get along with and have never tried to gouge me as other auto shops have done. I have recommended they to other customers and I know that they have used Christy's.

Noticed vibration/rumble when I was sitting at stoplights and brakes were being applied. Took to Christy's and reported noise.

Christy's were unable to detect noise and could not duplicate noise. In checking vehicle they noticed that front and rear brakes

were in need of replacement. Per my instructions, the rear brakes (in worst condition) needed to be replaced immediately and front brakes were in need of replacement in near future but could wait until later so  that is what I did.

Engine light was on steadily and car was making noise very loudly as if muffler was gone. Had just happened and was afraid to drive any distance so took it in right away. Was able to get loaner car next day.

Christy's auto gets all my business when it comes to my car repairs. I've had major car repairs to minor tune ups and every time they are honest about what it will cost and when it will be ready. As a women I feel most car places talk down to me or take advantage of me, at Christy's I don't feel that way. They truly are a neighborhood car repair place that takes care of their neighbors.
They gave me a referral to another company that does auto body repair when I had an accident and I felt confident in their referral.

I've been going to Christy's for about 8 years.
I had to have my gas tank replaced because of of a hole at the top of it. They did their research to find me the best deal for a used part. Put it in and haven't had any trouble. They even sent me a Thank You card. Who does that??? A good mechanic does! Even though I don't live close by anymore, I will go out of my way to have them service any of my cars.

It was good. They had my vehicle done on time with no problems.

I was offered two different quality levels of rotors. The higher quality offering was $100 more than the lower level. I selected the lower level. Not long after they were installed I felt pulsing in the brake pedal when braking. Obviously the rotors were warping. I returned to Christy's and they reluctantly agreed to 'turn' them, which they did. In addition, I had a high-pitched squeeling sound coming from the left front wheel that they never could resolve. They claimed they couldn't hear it. Some time after the rotors were turned, they again began to pulse. I took the car to another repair service and have been happy with their work. Another incident I had at Christy's involved their loaner car. Granted, it's free but what incensed me was I drove the car approximately 40 miles. The agreement is that you replace the gas you use, which is fair enough. Upon returning to Christy's, I pulled up to their gas pump. A worker was standing in the doorway, apparantly waiting for me. As soon as I pulled up he went and began fueling the car up. I went inside to settle the bill and while doing that, the attendant finished pumping and came in to state that the gas charge was over $14! I commented that that seemed a little steep considering I'd driven the car about 40 miles. One of the workers standing there commented that others had mentioned that the car seemed to use a lot of gas. I felt I'd been played by them and will never give them another dime of my business. Obviously, being able to use a car for the day for $14 is a good deal. But, there is a point to this.

Car misfiring, engine light on and periodically blinking, stalling at stop signs. Called Christy's and made appt on day when I would have access to loaner car. Car was fixed as promised.

Took car in. Received loaner car at no charge. Car back same day.

Brakes sqeaking in reverse. Took car in and had back following day. They found that front rotors measured under specifications (brakes had been checked by Luther Brookdale in March and they stated brakes were dirty and out of adjustment and they cleaned them. Had minor problem with lost tire studs but Christy's replaced at own expense and called me when studs came in and they put them on in a few minutes.

The service is excellent, but their pricing is a bit expensive. They discuss options with me. They are professional, responsive, and the quality of work is good. My overall experience with them has been good, and will use them in the future as well.

Original visit to repair transmission leak. Auto given back following day as fixed. Two days later, leak still there so went back, complained and Auto relooked at. Was told of crack in transmission case and was given estimate of $1700.00 for rebuilt transmission including labor. Took auto to another shop for 2nd opinion, crack was confirmed and 2nd shop stated they could not beat $1700.00 estimate. Took auto back to Christy's for repair work and job was done at $1646.00.
