The technician who came out was surprised that he had been sent out for a sliding patio door. He stated that they did not generally work on these. He took a flathead screwdriver and popped the bottom of the door along the track. Turned out that due to the recent extreme cold, it wasn’t the lock that was broken as I had mistakenly thought. The door was just frozen shut. Unfortunately in popping it open it also came off its track. Now it is jammed, off the track, and letting in cold air from outside. The technician then stated I needed to hire a door repair person, he couldn’t get it back on the track. So he left me with a broken door, and still charged $60 for a service call. He was not even at my house 15 minutes, and left me with a bigger problem than I had before he came out. My son tried to dispute the $60 charge to no avail. Because of the freezing temperatures I can’t get a repair person for the door until it warms up, and I’m stuck with cold air coming into my home. I don’t think I should’ve had to pay the service call fee when I was left worse off than before.

Priced several other places to have replacement 'chip' key for my car. All other places were at least 50% more and some double the price. Work done was very quick and has worked well. I walked into the shop and new chip key made in under 10 minutes. The guy in there was very knowledgeable.

I suspected that my purse was stolen with my keys in it. We called Central Lock and Safe. They responded quickly and changed the locks.

I can't remember the price I paid, however it was very reasonable. I will definitely use them again. I'm very happy with the entire experience.

They do great work. They told me how to do some things myself in order to save me money. They were very informative and helpful. They even suggested I go to a car junk yard to find some parts that I could use, in order to save me money. I really liked how they were concerned with helping me rather than charging me.

Stopped in to have a keyed gas cap picked because of a lost key. One of the guys ran right out to his van to grab his little pick set, walked over to my truck, and had the cap off in less than 30 seconds. Not expecting a freebie for anything anymore, it was surprisingly refreshing that he wouldn't charge me for 30 seconds of his time (some places would likely charge you at least a minimum fee). He just asked that I bring him some business down the road. When the need arises, I certainly will, but in the meantime, I thought I'd at least give him some brownie points on AL.

I called the evening before and they had someone out at 8 am the next day. He was actually early. Had the doors quickly re keyed and installed a deadbolt on my garage. The Locksmith, Jamie was polite, competent, and professional and made sure I was satisfied before he left. Well Done!

Uneventful - everything happened as expected.

The workers at Central Lock and Safe are good. They were fast and on time. They did the work and the price was fair. I didn't have to sign a lot of paperwork. It was a nice process.

I called to get a price quote for changing the core of a showcase lock and was quoted a satisfactory price compared to comparisons. I went in to the shop and told the man working the counter what I wanted again and that I was the one who called 15 min. before. After discussion of prices and options I told him what I wanted done which was the very first thing I was quoted on. He took my lock , went in back and did the job. When he rung it up it was way more than the quote so I asked why. He asked the owner/manager who was there and the owner/manager broke down the costs. I told him that that is not what I was quoted. The o/m who never even looked at us told the counter man he had made a mistake when he did the quote and that he was sorry. I asked for an adjustment and was refused by him via the counter man. Asked to return core and was told it was non-returnable. I walked out that door and will never go back.

They did a marvelous job. They are a well established firm in the city and you sometimes have to wait for them to get to you. When they give you a time that they are going to be there, they are very punctual.

Talked with Charles. He sent someone out within the hour. Needed to fiddle with it for about 30 minutes before he got it to work, but didn't immediately say "gotta replace it." Very nice and pleasant.

Responded very quickly. Representative was pleasant and helpful. Pleased with the work, and will definitely use again.

The service people have always been very friendly, and do a great job! We have used them for several projects, and they are always prompt and thorough.
