A windstorm damaged many trees in the area. Our's was a very small job, relatively speaking -- most services were busy getting whole trees off houses or fences - but too big for us to reasonably haul ourselves We cut up the tree limb ourselves and piled all on the driveway, then called 4 services to get estimates of cost/timeline. Carlson's Tree Service was on the city's list of tree service providers. Jim Carlson called back within 5 minutes of my leaving word with his office staff/answering service. Based on my description he gave me a preliminary / minimum estimate, and we agreed he'd come by to inspect the pile then provide a bid. He was able to come by within 15 minutes, provided a firm bid, that we agreed upon and stated that he'd be by before end of afternoon with his truck & chipper. He was back within 20 minutes. He worked nonstop, solo, for an hour and was able to chip/shred ALL of the debris. Including the logs that were 8 - 10 inches across.
As often happens (he told me), a neighbor saw the truck and stopped by. They had 4 tree limbs, about 3-4 inches across at base, 10 ft long, and asked whether Jim would handle those. Jim agreed to do this for a modest added fee, paid by the neighbor.
Jim has first-quality equipment, was professional in responding to the call, kind to my neighbor and took care of the disposal 100%, even raking up the smallest branches.
