Excellently.

They did a terrific job, doing it one day. The only caution i would give to a prospective client is that if they use a front loader to drop the lumber--they may tear up part of your yard. I will be able to fix this next spring--but just a heads up that could happen. Very happy with the price, very happy with the quality of the work i would recommend them highly.

I went well and these guys knew their stuff. As an engineer I tend to be on the analytical side thus ask lots of questions and expect correct answers. I even ask questions I already know the answers to just to see what answer I get. When the answers consistently match then I feel confident with their skills. In this case I received correct and even better answers to my questions. I now know a lot more about the windows and sliding glass doors that were installed. I was so impressed I hired them again to replace even more windows. Rule with these guys, if you have an issue contact their service department directly and be nice. They will be there to help. As someone who has over 15 years of support and support of support experience for a fortune 100 company I can say Builder and Remodelers support is above the rest. Yes I would recommend them to my friends!

I loved the windows and the finished product but was not as impressed with the time it took to get 5 windows in. The first day was rain and sleet so that was expected but it still took two more days to get everything in. In the end It was more of just an inconvenience thing to have to figure out how to let them in to do the work. The windows look amazing both in side and out and have already made a noticeable difference with both sound and heat retention in our house. We will be using Builders and Remodelers again to finish the rest of the windows in the house, and probably when we get our front entry door done in the future as we..

Not well. We signed the contract in mid-June. The contract stipulated the color choice as "medium oak" and yes, we signed off on it. We have dark oak woodwork throughout our home. The new windows were installed on schedule--clean up was good--and we did not hover over the installers as they installed them. After they left, we were surprised to see that the interior finish next to the window pane was WAY lighter than our other windows--almost "blonde". And that that section was actually vinyl. The outer casings were a little darker--and they were wood. I called the sales rep (Andrew Lien), told him were were not happy, and he came out to look. The first time he came, he said he saw what we were talking about, and that they wanted us to be happy and would talk to the owner, re-order different windows and make it right. Nothing happened. We wrongly assumed the different windows were on order. We wrote emails (to Andrew and an Adam Wells), and after a lengthy period of time, Andrew came back out, acting as if this was the first time he'd heard of the problem --with color samples--took photos and said that they had ordered "medium oak" and we signed off on it, but still said they would try to come up with a solution. Nothing happened. We wrote more emails, and then got a quarrelsome phone call from someone else at the company who hadn't even seen Andrew's pictures but basically told us they weren't going to do anything. We sent another email on Nov. 3rd asking them if there were some other solution (other than replacing the windows) they could come up with to darken the woodwork. No response. We called Andrew on Nov. 15th who said he would find out what was going on and get back to us within a day or two. Of course he didn't. We understand, that contractually we did sign off on what was ordered. But the salesman promised us on more than one occasion, that the company wanted us to be happy and would work with us to fix the problem. Instead they are non-responsive and seemingly not at all interested in helping us with a solution. If they had given us windows that had all wood interior, we could refinish them. But part of the window is vinyl. How does one make "wood grain" vinyl darker? Our problem is that the salesman makes promises that the company evidently is not interested in fulfilling. They're not even offering a compromise--they're completely non-responsive. They got their money and clearly don't care whether we're happy or not. This issue has been going on for far too long. We are Gold Angie's List members now-- please help us resolve this issue. P.S. Photo should be rotated 45 deg to the left. They did a great job. They went at it like they've done it a hundred times and they knew what they were doing. They were really conscientious. They thought they were going to do it in a day but it took two days and that was fine with us. They came right out. We were really pleased. They were nice guys who answered all my questions. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing.

The roofers themselves were very cordial and they really cleaned up after themselves. They made sure I was satisfied before I left. The price was average.

The crew did a very good job of removing the old siding one section of the house at a time.  They would then wrap that section and install the new siding.  By doing the removal and installation in sections, there was less of a disruption to the residents and neighbors.

We are waiting on the delivery and installation of the shutters.

You could not have asked for a bette, well organized, professional company.  These guys orchestrated the installs, deliveries with perfection.  They worked very hard to meet our tight time frames.  Those working on the site were professional, neat extremely polite and clean up was always done at the end of each day.

Hats off to Ken Bressler and his whole team.  Noah - who orchestrated the installation was absolutely wonderful to work with.

Ordered patio door February 2015 and was installed in April 2014.

The patio door is of excellent quality.

The reason that I give a lower score is that the installers would not install the "casing" or "moulding" around the door.

My wife and I had to buy the moulding from a big box store and install it ourselves.

The two month window from ordering to install seems a little excessive.

They were all excellent. I went with them again because of the previous experience I had with them and I had been happy with their pricing, schedule and quality. I found them personable and reliable.

There was a disagreement between B&R and myself regarding the final amount due for the work. I am not at all satisfied with how B&R handled that situation and so, while the work done by the roofing crew seems to be ok, I would not hire B&R again.

This job went excellently.  The workers arrived on time and installed the doors.  We've noticed the difference with the new doors over our old ones with regards to these being far less drafty.  Our previous doors were old and, in some areas, the wood was rotting away.  We got the triple pane glass on our sliding patio doors (one in the basement and one in the dining room).

Everyone we worked with at Builders and Remodelers was polite, helpful and professional.  The initial sales person was attentive and made sure we were taken care of quickly once we made the decision to use Builders and Remodelers. The scheduler was polite, helpful and flexible and the installer did good work and thoroughly cleaned up afterward. We are very happy with the result and would use this company again in the future.

The screen did not fit on one of the windows which must have been noted on installation as the other 2 were installed and the third one was left sitting on the floor. Eventually we did receive a new screen. Now 6 months from installation one of the windows Soft Lite Elements won't close - several calls to the service department and still no repair. All the while we had been receiving calls for them to come out and bid on more business and offering us a 25% discount on our next job. So we had them come out for siding - the bid was the same as 3 other companies - when asked abou the 25% discount we were told it was a sales tactic to get them in the door. I should have read other reviews more closely. Now I'm stuck as I'd like to have mathcing windows but really would not want to hire them again. The installation crew was fine other than leaving with the window screen off.

The installation of the products was very acceptable.   They showed up when they said they would and cleaned up their mess.  The one installation guys were very professional.  Once the weather turned a little nicer (early April) and I pulled the window down to have the screen out for the first time since it was installed, I noticed that the screen on the storm door was loose on one side --- like loose where I could stick my fingers through it.  It's a storm door where you pull down the glass window and the screen rolls down next.  
Here is how the rest goes:
1) I put a call in Builders and Remoders and was put into a voice mail.  I never received a phone call so I called back within 2 days and was told they didn't get a voice mail from me.  At this time, I put in my concern and a work order was created and again no phone call back so I had to call again.  This time I was told that a work order wasn't put in.  UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!  This time a work order was put in and I was told by Jason that he will call me ASAP and be out.  He was supposed to come out at least 4-5 different times and had to cancel for one reason or another.  One time he cancelled on me because his girlfriend had planned a suprise for him... REALLY??? Well I was actually very understanding about all of these cancellations until I finally realized this was a big crock of crap and I was getting the run around.  After all of this, some guy named Steve called   my husband's cell phone and said he was coming out to look at the door.  My  husband hadn't been involved in this at all because he works a lot and I told him I would take care of it because I thought it would be a easy fix.  My husband not really knowing, ok'd for Steve to come out...the only problem was that I, nor my husband were home so I could  not show Steve what I was seeing on the door.   So I called Builders and Remodelers after Steve came out and they didn't have record of him coming out.  By this time, I was in tears!  I did finally get a hold of Steve who like the owner of this place was very condescending and rude.  
2)  I decided to get a hold of the Ken the owner.  Ken proceeded to tell me he has this exact door on his house and it's supposed to be like this.  All he cared about was getting me off of the phone and off of their list of customers to deal with.  I tried telling Ken that this door is defective, specifically the pull down screen.  No brand new screen should have wrinkles in it and I shouldn't be able to stick my fingers in there.  One side is correct and tight, the other side is loose, wrinkled and defective.  I finally just gave into this man because this whole thing has causes me a great deal of stress. I will never, ever do business with this company again.  
I will never, ever do business with this company again.  They said they had all A ratings on Angie's list and I should have looked before I believed this.

I had them install a picture window and one other window a few years back and they were quite prompt. However, this time it took a fairly long time once the windows were ordered to arrive and be installed. The installers sent out did a fairly good job but did leave random messes inside where the installations took place. Service after the installation was another matter. One of the previous installed windows had a seal go bad allowing the moisture to enter the interior space and 2 of the cranks had issues, one fell off after several openings and closings and the other fell apart. Getting service was to put it mildly, almost laughable at times. Repeated calls to inquire on parts being ordered, when they would be delivered, when they would be installed was pretty much nothing but excuses as we were told this person didn't order them or they didn't know where the parts were etc. etc. After many repeated calls with almost as many excuses, they finally called to say the parts were in and ready to be installed, the bad window was replaced as were the crank handles.

As stated earlier, their installation technicians were always courteous and hard working. Their service after the sale, not so much.

And I should mention during this timeframe, we received numerous calls from their sales department asking us if we needed new windows, doors, or siding...
