I collaborated with BPM Contracting on a roof, window, and gutter project in my 105-year-old home. Their service is marked by innovation and efficiency. Nathaniel's unrivaled commitment to customer experience and satisfaction and dedication to going the extra mile made working with BPM stress-free and seamless. Nate's communication was impeccable, clear, and transparent from concept to completion. Additionally, the crew was punctual, tidy, and courteous. I am thrilled with the end result. BPM not only improved the structural integrity but also highlighted the curb appeal of my home. Nathaniel is masterful in new builds, remodels, retrofitting, and home additions. Additionally, BPM specializes in driveways, decks, fences, garages, and doors, (egress) windows, painting, hardwood, vinyl, and carpeted flooring, concrete, plaster, drywall, tile, and stonework, and even electrical and plumbing. Nathaniel is a master of trades, and BPM Contracting is best in class.

We hired BPM Contracting to renovate our owner’s suite bathroom and replace the carpeting throughout the upper level of our home. We are very pleased with the results! Throughout the process, Nate was easy to work with, responsive to (and patient with!) our many questions, and fair in his pricing. He connected us with ProSource of Bloomington to obtain materials, and they were competitively priced and served as an invaluable resource when it came to working out our design. Nate’s team and his subcontractors were easy to work with. His employee Joel did the bulk of the work in the bathroom and we can’t say enough about how pleased we were with his workmanship! He was thorough, careful, precise, and considerate throughout the entire process. Jack, the individual who installed our new carpet, did an amazing job as well. We asked him to take care of a few of the squeaks in our subfloor, and he went above and beyond in eliminating these – it’s almost eerie how quietly we can move around now! There were a few minor punch list items to address once the bathroom was complete, and Nate handled those items in a timely manner. We are glad we chose BPM Contracting for our bathroom and carpeting project.

We are very satisfied with the installation of our vinyl plank flooring. They were prompt, expert, pleasant to work with and cleaned up daily. I would recommend to anyone.

Do not hire. They are a unique combination of arrogant, incompetent, and manipulative. Textbook definition of over-promise and under-deliver. Initially communicated work would be completed in 3-4 days - it has now been a month, project is nowhere near complete and site is rife with workmanship issues. Speaking as someone who works in the industry, everything I would hope to see from a competent general contractor - responsiveness, accountability, management of subcontractors, etc. - has been completely absent from this project.

Absolutely do not hire this company. We hired this contractor to do exterior painting because he had been reasonable on a previous minor roof repair job. He had previously said that he was booked out until spring but we checked back in the first week of October to see if he happened to have any availability since we had two weeks of good weather in the forecast, and he said yes and sent subcontractors to do the work. Since they started, we have had paint splashed on our deck and deck furniture, the painters have not been here before noon most days and simply skipped other days, one of them sprayed me through the screen of our three season porch where I was working on my laptop (I'm going to take it in to the apple store to see what the damage is, but it's visible and significant paint coverage on a fairly new machine), the paint has been left out in the snow in the backyard, and they are still not finished. They had said when they started on Tuesday, October 6 that they would be done that Saturday but now it is October 21, there is a ton of snow on the ground and they are still not even close to being finished. I have no idea how they're going to fix our porch since it requires sanding and staining to repair the paint splatter, and it's too cold to do so at this point in the year. We're hoping the paint isn't ruined since it's so cold, but since there is only 1 day in the next week that isn't raining, snowing or below 35 degrees, I have no idea how this is going to resolve itself. This means I have a half painted house - the front is literally half one color and half the other, with a ton of sprayed on trim that looks terrible. The owner of the company Nate was incredibly defensive and condescending when I called him to discuss the painted laptop and we still haven't seen him on site since he came by to pick up the deposit check (he claims he has driven by through the alley, but we work from home and haven't seen him). My spouse is starting to look into mediation and legal recourse options because we don't know what else to do at this point. If by some tiny miracle they actually manage to complete this job to our satisfaction, I will update this review accordingly but at the moment we are both absolutely panicked that we're going to be stuck with a half-painted house all winter and then have to pay someone else to fix this crappy job.

My wife and I purchased a duplex in St. Paul in January, and we knew going into it that it would need a LOT of work. We got the building for a good price but basically needed to rebuild the entire inside to bring it up to the level that we wanted. We reached out to BPM during the closing process to begin planning out the work. Over the course of 2019, we had BPM replace all of the floors (new tiles and laminate) in both units, masonry work, replace bathtub and toilet fixtures, drywalling, baseboards, electrical (new outlets and 7 Ring security cameras), new doors, and even new garage and service doors. Nate and BPM have been a godsend! It's incredibly convenient to be able to text Nate, get an estimate, leave a check on the mantle, and not have to worry about the project anymore. Given the nature of the projects and the age of the building, we ran into some unforeseeable issues, and Nate was able to handle it on the spot! He has very competitive rates, and I will definitely be using him in the future. BPM does fantastic work, and they can adapt to any situation. I HIGHLY recommend going with them, ESPECIALLY if you have a complex project.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY
This company was nice on the surface. We were initially happy with the result even though we had quite a few bumps in the road. Namely we argued over terms in the contract, for example "finished patio" was interpreted by us as having steps and the contractor did not include steps. This problem came up over and over. They went way over both their monetary and time estimates.
Since the remodel we have had issues. We had some water damage in the basement, not their fault, but the result was this summer 7/2014 we had to re-model the basement again. We went with J& D Builders and they pointed out that BPM did not use oil based paint in our bathrooms which is why we had bubbling paint around the shower. BPM did not completely finish painting all of the trim around the doors and baseboards and used a paint that attracts dust and skin oils making it look completely dirty all the time.
The worst though is that they DID NOT PULL PERMITS for the supposedly BRAND NEW furnace they placed. We just had the unit serviced and found out from Bonfe that what we thought was a brand new furnace is in fact 12 years old, used, and over-sized causing our filter to not work and the whole unit to need $1,000.00 in cleaning. It was also NEVER INSPECTED and is NOT TO CODE.
On the phone they denied wrong-doing, claimed they worked closely with my husband on every decision, and evaded by saying their sub-contractors were responsible for the furnace.
We reported BPM to the city of St. Paul and will be seeking complete replacement of the unit or we will seek damages.

The project went really well.  Paul came and scoped it out and was able to very quickly give us a very competitive bid.  We signed a contract and set a date.  Paul and his team were very prompt and met his estimated completion date.  We were very happy with the work and Paul's attention to detail.  He came back after it was finished, did a close walk-through with us, and fixed a couple of very minor cosmetic issues that day and at no charge.  He even took care of a few things we hadn't noticed, like fixing our gutter screens.  We're really enjoying the deck and are very happy that we went with BPM.

BPM gave us a detailed estimate, and started work on a holiday.  Other than showing up late on the first day of the job, everything went very smoothly.  The owner walked his worker through the various tasks, and showed up at the end of each day to make sure everything was done correctly.  BPM was immaculate in their clean-up.  All of the work was very well done.  BPM was true to their estimate, and there were no hidden charges.

It went fine. The crawl space under the bathroom turned out to take longer and be more of a pain than expected. The whole job took less than two months and that included waiting for the glass shower door and for Silestone to install a counter.
