Requested service for an error on the thermostat and set up an appointment for $99 diagnostic service. Technician came out and tried to determine the problem. He spent time looking at the wiring and outside connections. Eventually did something to thermostat that caused the AC transformer to smoke and told me I should have the AC unit installer work on it since he should be able to fix it under warranty. He then begun to create a quote for Bonfe to perform the service and I was then charged $225 because he went over the 30 minutes despite failing to alert me to the additional cost. I had called them out to hopefully get the issue resolved quickly if it was a minor issue. But despite them not being able to fix it, they decided to take extra time to run up the cost and provide no tangible benefit to me. The person I eventually went with repaired the system for less than Bonfe's "diagnostic".

Our water heater died on a Sunday. A plumber came within a few hours. They replaced it first thing Monday morning. The new one works fine and it passed the city inspection. We are very pleased.

I have on of Bonfe plans where i pay a monthly premium in exchange for a free inspection/tuneup of the AC and Furnace each year and a discount on work done. Every time I call to schedule these free inspection/tuneups I can never get a hold of the Bonfe scheduling department direction. The service that they have that picks up the calls talks down ALL my information (practically including my blood type) and then Bonfe never ever calls. Its like a cycle I go thru with leaving several messages thru their service and then I finally get thru to them about a week later. When I called to get the furnace tuneup done the same thing; took a week before I was able to schedule. Date and time window were selected. I never received a phone call the day before reminding me of my appointment, no call in the morning. It was an afternoon appt beginning at noon. At 1:30 I called them and they said their technician was stuck at his previous appointment - a family without a furnace - and he would not be able to make it that day. Would have been nice to get a call. Rescheduled for the next day. Same thing. No tech showed. I called and spoke to Bonfe again who indicated that could get someone out the following day (Saturday) and I would be their first appointment. They were suppose to be here at 9am - no later since I was the first appointment on their books. I rearranged my schedule - well really gave up my Saturday morning workout so I could be home. By 9:30 I was calling Bonfe to see where the tech was. I got the run around. Person initially didnt see I had an appointment. Then they started readying the notes and the person I spoke to on Friday entered notes onto my account that we really didnt discuss. Eventually they said that the tech I was suppose to have called in sick and I was scheduled with another technician. He should be there at 10- again I am his first appointment. By the time he got here around 11:30 I find out he was at a previous job. Gee, could have done my morning workout i look forward to all week and ran errands etc. The technician was very nice. The one thing I noticed when Bonfe called me out of the blue one day to see if I wanted a free plumbing inspection the technician that came over made a note on his Ipad when I said that I didnt know if the VanAir was working properly as we get ice build up on the windows in the winter. He stated his mom forgot to clean her filters, her system broke and she needed to get a new air exchanger. We clean the filters twice a year. Sure enough this technician claims that the air exchanger motor is not kicking in everytime like it should. He recommended that we eventually change it. I did not get a quote. I looked on line and you can buy replacement motors that are really easy to install per the messages I was reading. No option given from Bonfe to do this - they want to replace the whole unit. I have been working with the air exchanger controller for the moisture level since it is now cooler outside. I think I might have found the sweet spot. I have also been watching the systems cycling off and on and it seems to be working just fine. HMMMMMM...... Had I never mentioned it to the plumbing technician would the furnace guy have even brought up the van air? I did buy a filter for the humidifier as it was very old. Paid $39 for something that I know I could buy cheaper else where directly but thats the nature of the business. I am dropping the Bonfe plan that I am on.

The plumber was prompt, polite and professional. I called Friday morning and had the unit replaced by Saturday afternoon. Bonfe did not "upcharge" for Saturday work, which is a plus. Hopefully the water softener will last.

Maintenance performed adequate but price for labor and parts extremely high. Not a good investment. Previous experience with with other contractors as good or better and less expensive.

Fine,as we found out we needed a new furnace, but we ended up getting pressured into buying a "plan" for $8 per month for subsequent checks.. we will cancel that as we had someone else put in a new furnace as Bonfe's was so expensive and didn't even mention fixing the hole in the ceiling above the furnace.. We won't use them again. They are professional but we just don't like the pressured sales tactics. They did install a sump pump for us also which was on the high end as far as cost goes but they did a good job.
