They did a great job! However, when I picked it up, I asked to look at it first. I noticed that some of the serging had been burned (glue gun was too hot). They fixed this on the spot. They also said it shouldn't happen again, but if it does, bring it in and they will fix it.

They also gave me the scrap which makes a nice runner in the hallway. They explained the cost to get the edges looking finished would cost a lot. They suggested I just take the scrap as-is, which is what I did. It looks great in my hallway.

The team is very fair and does a great job. Would definitely recommend to others, and will return if I need future work done.

We had a 6 month old puppy who pulled our wool entry rug into his crate and chewed as much as he could before we got home! I contacted Bob's about repair. They were very helpful ovet the phone with an estimate so I took the rug to them for further assessment. They made a recommendation of cutting down both ends to match and then serge. The rug came out beautifl. No one would ever know that any alterations were done to it. Would highly recommend. In fact, I have another rug to take to them. :-) I felt like my project was very small compared to what was in there shop but they didn't treat me any differently than a higher paying customer.

I inherited an antique Turkish rug that was my grandmother's that was so big (19X12) it's spent most of its life in storage...no place to put it. After unsuccessfully trying to pass it off on my children or sell it, I decided to have it recut. I took it to American Rug Laundry in Mpls for cleaning (they did a fantastic job) and then they sent it out to Bob's. I wanted the middle of the rug, which has a center medallion design, cut out and bound on the edges to make one smaller rug, and then the two remaining sections sewn together to make one larger rug. This section also required the removal of ratty old fringe and rebinding of the edges. The rug is handmade and not perfectly symmetrical either in shape or design; also, it's old and unevenly worn. Somehow, Bob's managed to produce two gorgeous rugs for me. The larger one is now about 12X12 and it's amazing. I don't know how they did it, but unless you're looking for it, you can't see the seam, even tho it runs right down the middle of the rug. They did a stunning job of matching the patterns in spite of the inherent inconsistencies in the rug. Truly a work of art. Both rugs are beautifully bound, with perfectly matched thread. I now have two lovely new heirloom rugs that I can actually use and enjoy again. I am in awe of their skill and professionalism.

I had the retail store ship the carpet directly from the factory to Bob's Binding. I went to their location with the exact dimensions and a diagram of the completed project. I was able to pick up the completed area rug one week later.

Excellent. Very knowledgeable about their process and alternatives. Work was done as requested and on time. Price was more than I expected before my visit, but equal to their quote. They charge by the lineal inch of binding, a logical approach. They are a bit difficult to find since it is usually a business to business service and because they have moved making the address on Angie's list as of 6/21/06 obsolete. THE SHOP AND SET UP IS OBVIOUS THAT THEY ARE NORMALLY A BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS OPERATION, BUT THEY TREATED US PROFESSIONALLY.
