Bloomington Carpet One

This is the third home that I’ve had flooring provided by Bloomington Carpet One. They do a phenomenal job start to finish. I am so grateful to have found them and will never use anyone else when it comes to flooring.

We decided to go to Bloomington Caroet one due to their large selection of vinyl and carpet. Very happy with sales and install. Customer service was great.

On time and as estimated

We had an excellent experience with CarpetOne. From the initial advice on choices to the final install. They are very communicative, flexible and professional.

We needed to have some plank flooring removed from hallways and then to have carpeting installed in the hallways and on 4 flights of stairs. Bloomington Carpet One provided some very experienced workmen who did an excellent job. Our stairs included some flights of open stairs that needed fussy workmanship to cover the sides of the treads and risers. They did a beautiful job and the carpeting looks terrific. We highly recommend this company for flooring and carpeting work.

Great experience. We need laminate kitchen floor repaired due to water damage. They were able to order the same flooring we had gotten 10 years ago. The installation was good and the floor looks wonderful. We are very happy and will look to them for future flooring needs. Friendly, professional, on time staff.

Gary was the very best installer I have experienced over the years. I am an elderly fix-it man myself, and I am usually a critic due to the fact that American craftsmanship has deteriorated over the last 40 years. I usually don't write reviews, but in this case I cannot say enough about Gary's ability, knowledge, patience and thoroughness to get the job done right. I highly recommend him to anyone who has any type of installation to be done. He also trains installers for Carpet One, who no doubt carries his quality traits on the job. ***** 5-star installation!

I had a wonderful experience with Carpet One. Every person there was friendly, helpful and professional. My salesperson was Ciara and she was absolutely fantastic. She was kind and patient as she worked with me to pick out entryway tile and carpeting and the end result came out great. Here is one example of the helpfulness of Carpet One that I will never forget: I stopped in on a Saturday with a question for Ciara and was greeted by Shelly, who told me Ciara was not in, but she would be glad to help. I was trying to decide on a grout color for the tile, and Shelly got down on her hands and knees with me for forty-five minutes, cheerfully trying different grout examples with the tile that was already installed on Carpet One's floor. A decision was almost reached, but just to make sure, she labeled each of the five different samples and insisted I take them home and see them in my own space. That sealed the deal and a decision was easily reached once I got home. Talk about customer service!! Shelly and Ciara went over and beyond anything I ever expected. The people at Carpet One make you feel like you are the only customers in the store and give you unlimited time and patience. I have wonderful memories and would never go anywhere else! Either should you!

I was looking for a few steps above a big box store and Bloomington Carpet One delivered! Much better quality and service. Was very impressed with our vinyl plank flooring installer Gary who is a pro at floor installation - been doing it most of his life! Chose Carpet One’s waterproof vinyl plank flooring as the bedrooms are halfway underground and we recently had water seepage - looks just like light white oak. No one can tell it’s vinyl. It was installed in three kid’s bedrooms and their small hallway -approximately 600 square feet.

Everything went according to plan and on schedule. Everyone involved was friendly and professional including sales person, scheduler and installers. Excellent service all around. Good carpet, looks great.

It went great for us to get new carpet and have the installation done when we needed it. The selection process was easy and the sales person helped me narrow down my choices from a great selection. The installers did an excellent job -- they were on time and conscientious with carpet removal, installation of the new carpet and thorough clean up when they were done.

Overview: Job was scheduled for bedrooms to be done on a Friday and the living/dining room area to be done on Monday. I had a special request that the installers move the tack strips that were next to the closet-door tracks, and add some metal there instead. This was to prevent the doors from tearing at the carpet. I specified gold for that metal. What was great? The level of service during the shopping, measuring, and ordering phases. Also, the installers were respectful, hard-working guys who did a wonderful job. They even vacuumed the hallway in front of my condo. However, there is definitely room for improvement for both Carpet One and their sub-contractors: - For the Friday job, I was told the installers would arrive between 9:00 am and 10:30 am. They arrived around 10:15 am. I understand why such a long timeframe would be needed for the second job in a day, but a 1.5-hour timeframe seems excessive for the first job. The lead installer asked me when I'd like them to arrive on Monday, and we agreed on 9:00 am - 9:30 am. I called Carpet One around 10:30 am, because the installers still weren't here. As the Carpet One person was looking into it, the installers knocked on my door (around 10:40 am). They had arrived shortly after 10:30 am, but had to wait in the lobby until someone else was coming in. Why? They didn't have the paperwork with my name and phone number, so they couldn't call me to let them into the building. At about 12:35, they asked to take a 1/2 hour lunch break. They returned at 1:35 pm, with no explanation for taking twice as long as expected. - When the carpet rolls were brought in, I noticed my last name was written on the back; I assume this was done by someone at Carpet One. It's a good idea. However, whoever wrote it added an extra syllable to my name. I still got my carpet, but it's easy to imagine how that sort of error could result in a mix up. - The lead installer said hadn't heard anything about my special request for metal by the closet doors. And he didn't have ANY metal with him on Friday, not even what might be needed for doorways. He said he'd have to go buy it, so we agreed that he could just bring it all on Monday. Not a huge hardship, but it was a bit bothersome, since there were some closets I couldn't open and close during the weekend. It also meant I couldn't put anything from the living/dining room in front of the closets on Monday, because those areas still needed work. - The installers also didn't know that I was not having new carpet installed on the closet floors. In short, there was poor communication/verification between the company and the installers. - The installers needed to borrow garbage bags for disposing of the smaller remnants on the first day. They only needed a couple, but since disposal is part of the installation price, I shouldn't have to provide those. (They did enough of their own the second day.) - The installers vacuumed when done, but they neglected a few spots. For example, there was quite a bit of carpet debris on the bathroom floor on Friday (i.e., a point where carpet met other flooring, but that got hidden by a door). - There were some marks on walls and on my front door. Well, the installation agreement says this can happen. If you paint in advance, be sure to save some for touch ups! - After Carpet One processed my final payment, they mailed a receipt. But there was no info with details about the carpet warranty. Sure, that was discussed a bit when I was shopping, but it should be standard procedure to send a written warranty. Overall, I'm satisfied with my new carpet. There were some issues, but nothing major. I would consider using Carpet One again, especially since other places also use sub-contractors for installation.

Great Installers were quick and carpet looked great after installed. Loved the lady that sold me the carpet as well as she listened to my needs rather than their store's needs. Was economical for me to buy and have installed. Great experience.

Great. Installers were punctual and then complete. Prior, rep was wonderful to work with and was patient with my lack of decision making skills. Between the two of us, a great carpet was decided upon and then installed.
