Bloomington Bath And Tile

1. John was fun to work with and we thought we had a very good working relationship**.  I enjoyed getting him coffee and donuts daily.
2. He is a master at laying intricate tiles as seen by our hexagonal marble floor tiles!  Not an easy project at all.  (He had someone else put up the ceramic wall tiles).
3. He seems to be an expert plumber and electrician and was good for our old house with old wiring and plumbing.
4. He handled some unforeseen issues well.
5. The bathroom looked wonderful when he was finished.
HOWEVER:
1. We could not figure out why John was so hard to get in touch with or was so slow in responding.  We sometimes had to call or e-mail numerous times before he would call back.  Punctuality was lacking  and it was difficult to get him back to finish loose ends.
2. We gave John a "C" for professionalism - only because he rated "A" while doing his work, but "D/F" when it came to punctuality and returning calls.
**We were promised a 6-month followup for checking out everything, and re-sealing the grout.  When we tried calling for that, we were totally ignored.  Numerous e-mails did no good.  Calling and leaving messages did no good.  Once John was gone, he was GONE.  I'd hate to think what we'd have done if something had really gone wrong and we had to get him back.   I doubt we would have. 

Sigh. I would like to give B B and Tile and John a great rating as John is very personable and does great tile work. However....overall our bath remodel experience was disappointing. Work was reasonably priced but was not able to be finished on schedule and tweaks and lingering details went on forever (some still not done). The cabinets his sub used are reasonable, but hence also not of the best quality. The bath looks nice, an improvement, but if we do this again I will probably go with a larger more reliable contractor.

It went really well. They had great product. The staff was fantastic. I would use them again in the future. In fact, I was in the store last week.

After a couple day delay in getting started the job was completed in the time frame quoted.
