I had hired a different company originally, but they wanted me to wait 30 days. Blessing Campbell was there in one day, had the chair expertly repaired, and back in just a few days! Amazing service!

Replaced lag bolts used by manufacturer with threaded inserts and bolts. Picked up the chairs and returned them ahead of schedule as they were told we needed them for a big family dinner. Only downside is that they convinced me to replace the felt on the bottom of the legs with teflon slides which were extra cost. I ripped those off after a week when I noticed that the hardwood floors were getting scratched. Placed them with felt again which I feel is much more practical.

"Thanks [Member Name Removed]. As for the glides, we have installed these tested slides on hundreds of items they have been throughly tested and proved very successful. We have never had any problem with them. The floor must be kept very clean and free of any grit to avoid any marring. We provide support for all our work, had you contacted our office we would have replaced the glides with glides of your choice at no charge and refunded the original cost. It is always best to contact your contractot before taking on replacing their items to see if they can help. Walt Blessing"

"This is one of those cutomers that all contractor have occasion to deal with. As can be seen by our previou ratings, our work is completed in a quality manner. Some people can recive great service, and great work, and will never be satisfied, this is such a prrson. The best thig about this customer is that we never have to deal with her again. We did our best to please her but she made up her mind we are terrible and nothing wil change it. This is an unfair review of our company, and I Guess all we can do is cosider the source, and hope she never calls us again Walt Blessing"

He was great and has done other work for us since. Scheduling was very easy. He brought samples of upholstery etc. and gave us recommendations. Walt was very easy to work with. I’ve used him for my Mom and my friends have also used them. Pricing with him was in the middle of the road.

Walt completely repaired my coffee table, which had been expensive, that wasn't built that stronly and had started falling apart. He then even added support to it to make it stronger.

It was a big deal purchase and it went very well. They not only did what I called them for originally, I gave them more work. They take a long time because they are very thorough, but they do a beautiful job. I think I spent another $400. Their personality stands out and the sense that they know what they are doing.

Communicating with the provider was challenging. They did come and appraise the work, and promised a written appraisal which was never received. Then, there was a misunderstanding regarding the value of the certificate we purchased, even though the certificate itself was clear. This caused a significant delay, and not only did it take a long time to clarify that information, and to get the work finally completed. When they did return the chairs, one of them had not even been repaired, and we had to send it back. Based on the experience we had, we would never use this provider ever again.

I happened to call on pick up days, so they came to pick up the table top that day. Walt was extremely detail oriented on the phone regarding services and pricing. We received new invoices every step of the process, so we always knew how much everything was going to cost.
Blessing Campbell is very knowledgeable about antique furniture. They are craftsmen and you will know this as soon as you talk to them. They love fine furniture.
Our cat had urinated on the table, so they had to not only get out the stain, but then refinished the top and replaced the trim that had broken off here and there with trim that would have been original to the table. They did the three leaves as well.
They are also providing free appraisals of the dining set as well as a bedroom set.
We are very happy with their work and will use them again in the future. I bought a coupon for a friend who needs some furniture repaired and told her she would be extremely pleased with the results.

I have a matching leather sofa and love seat that are 17 years old. While the leather itself is still in great shape - the physical structure of the two pieces was beginning to sag and deteriorate after all these years.
Walt came to my home, picked up both pieces and returned them to his shop. Once he was able to open them up, he called me with an assessment of the work that was needed to bring them "back to life". We agreed to the work.
Essentially, he repaired the springs and support system as well as repaired some of the wood structure of the pieces so that they are like new. He also replaced the legs that were in pretty rough shape after 17 years.
The pieces were retuned to me about 2 weeks later and are terrific. The sagging is all gone. The pieces sit like brand new furniture. While I paid a little over $600 for the work, Walt saved me thousands in not having to purchase new furniture.
I would highly recommend Walt and his team.

I learned of Blessing Campbell through Angie's List. Walt Blessing came to my home to look at my working 1901 Victrola. The mahogany cabinet had scratches and some missing scroll trim. There was also a cracked leg. The wheels barely rolled and one wheel had come off.
Walt Blessing mailed me a detailed estimate of what the repairs and refinishing would entail. Because the Victola was a gift to me, I felt the investment of $1000 into this antique was worth it. I had researched the market price for a Victrola like mine (hard to do since no two are alike then they get to this age).
Walt came to my house to pick up the Victrola to take it back to the workshop. They handled the Victorla expertly, wrapping it and securing all moving parts for transport.
There was no rush on this project.Shortly after they took it to the workshop, they called me to come down and approve the stain they had chosen to use for refinishing. The inside of the Victrola was still in pristine condition and so matching the stain was fairly easy. Still, I think Walt's expertise put me at ease through the whole thing. The missing scroll moulding had been replicated - hand carved with a drimmel tool! It was pefect!
It took about a month to get the Victrola back. It is so beautiful and perfect. I love it! It is now valued over $2,000 and was absolutely worth it to me to have it restored. I highly recomend Blessing Campbell.

Given that these guys were the only furniture people that called me back or picked up the phone, I decided to go with them. The end result was good- although it took 2 trips (on their part) and some encouragement from me to make it happen. Overall, I do feel like they know what they are doing and they will make sure you are satisfied. It is also nice that they will pick up and deliver your piece if the work cannot be done at your home. That is a nice service. They also showed up within minutes of when they said they would.
