Robin the scheduler is on top of it!!! Returned calls promptly and scheduled immediately. She was delightful to work with.
Chad the Plummer was awesome!!! Great personality, humorous, professional and very knowledgeable. I would refer and use this company again and again.
Great team and management to work with!!! A+++++++
Blaylock plumbing is great, Chad is my man, he arrived on time, friendly new exactly what to do and got right to work. He fixed it fast and cleaned up behind himself. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Blaylock plumbing stands behind their work.
It all went just fine, work was completed as requested with the exception that I also asked the person to fix a bathroom sink drain that wouldn't hold water. He looked at it and made a statement that it was missing a part, but made no reference what-so-ever to repairing it which is what I wanted.
When I made the appointment, I was not made aware that the fees start the second the repair person leaves their shop, and the meter runs whilst they drive both to and from the worksite. Had I known that, I certainly would have chosen a plumbing service much closer to home.
Customer Service is awful. Ethics are questionable.
The plumber did not put tarps down and there was soot tracked all over my beige carpet on the floor and stairs. When I mentioned this issue, all I got was a response of ?oops?. I will have to clean my carpets. After several exchanges with
the owner, I finally received an insincere apology and no offer to pay for the carpet cleaning.
The work also failed inspection for two items. I had to take time off of work to have the repairs done. Even after it was done, it
was not correct. The pictures sent to the inspector did not match what was requested to solve the issue. I ended up fixing
one piece myself, rather than taking time off of work to get it done right.
I would never use this contractor again. They do not seem to have any semblance of customer focus, being respectful of my property and time.
Some necessary background: In February of this year we had some water back up in our basement, to which we had a different company come out and clear the roots. The next day, that company ran a camera and saw that about 80 feet out a PVC pipe had moved, leaving only an inch and a half of opening which caused the backup. They quoted us $7,000 for the repair. They said I could call the city but ultimately the repair of your drain-out is your responsibility. I said I would wait and see how often it backs up, to which they were not amused.
Two months later we had another backup. I immediately hopped on Angie's List and found Blaylock Plumbing on here and sent a lengthy email. Dan called I believe on Monday and planned on coming out early that week. Dan pulled the permits on the pipe and found that there was no record of work being done. He thought this was a sign that someone who did bigger work on the street had cracked the pipe and dropped one in without notifying the city and pulling a permit.
Because of a winter snow storm that day and his location not being that close to our home, he called and we talked over things and he recommended another company to come root it and cam it again since he didn't trust the company that quoted me $7,000. I had that company come out which performed services for half the price of the first company.
Dan talked to that contractor and because of the relative location of the PVC pipe. He came out a couple days later and ran his camera and marked the street. He gave me a quote of $2,200 - $2,800 (this is WITH digging in the street), which included running a sleeve on the six feet of clay pipe that was at the end of the drain-out as well as adding a clean-out in our yard so that future plumbers did not have to go into our basement bathroom to get access to the drain-out. He then went to city hall and talked to the city engineer who immediately said that there had been a burst water main and our drain out likely had been damaged in the repair.
Even though Dan could have stopped here, he stayed in contact with me all the way through. The city did not have him do the repair because the company that had originally dropped the PVC pipe in did it at their cost. He talked to me the day before the repair and the day of the repair. I ultimately was able to get the receipts from all the plumbing bills covered by the city as well, so besides the stress and time loss my story ended well.
I can't say enough good things about Blaylock Plumbing. Whether you're a new homeowner like me or have had a house for decades, this is the guy to go to for any problems with your sewer drain-out. Even if I did need a repair, Dan would have done it for far less than what others would have charged and I have no doubt that it would have been the highest quality repair.
I've used Blaylock Plumbing before and will definitely use them in the future.
Dan and his assistant showed up exactly at the time promised, completed the repair quickly and professionally and at a cost of $1000.
We could not be happier with their service and would use them again as a first choice for any plumbing needs
