This was the second project we’ve done with Alan and crew. They painted the exterior of our home two years ago, and now almost the entire interior. Everything about the process was exceptional. Communication about every aspect of the job was great as was the workmanship and the clean-up. Getting nearly the whole interior painted at once is a disruptive process, but I’m not sure it could have gone better. To quote our 7-yr old, “Wow! This looks great…. Bravo!” Thank you Alan and team, great work!

Bella Casa did a great job. They did what they said they would do for the price they bid. The finished product looks great, the crew was nice and easy to work with.

Bella Casa painted our two story colonial house in the fall of 2016. Their work was excellent. The work was high quality, completed on time and done at a fair price. We were totally satisfied. We also asked them to install new shutters. This turned out to be more complicated than we anticipated but they completed the job without complaint and without extra charge.

Very professional painters and the owner was responsive when I had questions and kept us updated on the status (due to all the rainy days in May).  They were careful to not do any painting when the house was  not completely dry after a rain.  We would highly recommend this company for your painting needs.

Bella Casa painted a house we are selling under contract for deed four years ago. Some peeling and blistering developed. The purchasers asked Bella Casa to fix it. Bella Casa readily agreed to do so and sent out a team of painters out almost immediately. They spent two days scraping, sanding and painting, and the house now looks great. All work is being done without charge.

Bella Casa painted the trim on our house seven years ago and the trim on a neighbor's house about five years ago. Those paint jobs have held up very well.

We have an old, 1923, tiny "Model T" garage that's beat up but still structurally intact. A lot of people would tear it down but I like the small size and that it matches our house in design and materials. It had never been seriously stripped or painted since it was built but had half-assed coats of paint laid over the original peeling paint job with only cursory scraping. As a result, paint was flaking off it and into adjacent soils and walkways. Since my wife and I garden near the garage, we wanted the old paint completely removed from the garage (onto tarps where it could be properly disposed of), everything sanded down to the wood, repairs made, and the whole thing repainted. I used to work as a painting contractor (long ago). Back in the day, we heat-stripped paint off with heat-plates, sanded the clapboards and other surfaces (all while wearing respirators), filled cracks and sunk nail-heads, caulked, primed and painted. I personally stripped and sanded one side of the garage to show Bella Casa what I wanted. They were good communicators and managed to get us in just before freezing weather hit. Their carpenter was very good and very reasonably priced (about $700 of the total charge). He did all the aforementioned repairs to my satisfaction. Their stripping method, however, was insane. They had 4 guys manually pound away on the garage for multiple days with scrapper/hammers to manually knock the paint off onto tarps. They were neat about paint disposal but their method, put lots of tiny dents in the clapboards and the sanding job they did afterwards was very cursory, as was the job of filling cracks, sinking nail-heads and caulking. As a result, the side I stripped and sanded myself is the nicest one. I am told that heat-plates are no longer allowed by contractors in Minnesota ...but they could have used a modern plane/stripper motorized device and saved many days of labor. In retrospect, the owner warned me of the method he would use ...but, of the 3 angie's list contractors I had look at the job, Bella Casa was the only one who was willing to do complete stripping/paint-removal and they had high ratings, so I just sort of assumed they knew what they were doing. They didn't. I'd say my experience with Angie's list has been that you can find someone who isn't terrible or corrupt to do construction/building/painting work but many real artisans or super-skilled practitioners of home building and maintenance are often better found through word-of-mouth. I've seen much better paint removal, prep and repainting jobs in my neighborhood and (when I worked in the business in Boston) the company I worked for did much better work. Bella Casa is honest, friendly and definitely put in the hours ...but the method was a little crazy and the results were somewhat mediocre.

Awesome.  Alan is a laid-back guy, but 100% customer service professional.  we quoted the same joh to others.  Some higher (much higher), some scary low.

Clearly Alan and team know what they are d*** and had a lot of local referenced that we could go and see their work.  Crews showed up early and stayed late every day (about 5).  Cleaned up and organized all their materials every night.

At the end of the job, I walked the job with the crew lead who was with the workers every day and made a list of a few things that I pointed out needed correction/re-doing (many small details - I am a perfectionist).  They re-did them do questions asked and no pushback at all.  "No problem Jeff - we will keep coming back and do all these things until you are happy - that's our job".  Solid professional painter and great customer service.  Highly recommended. One year on, the exterior looks like it did one year ago. (I am late posting this review!)

We are really happy with the work done by Bella Casa Painting!  This is our second large project with Alan and Bella Casa, and they did another excellent job at a competitive price!
We were preparing to rent out our 3400 sq. ft. rambler, and the whole interior was in dire need of a new coat of paint.  Originally, we had arranged to do the major rooms and the kitchen cabinets.  However, as I saw how good those spots looked with the new coats of paint, I asked them to also do the door and window trim, closets, hallways, ceilings, and garage to make the place look as good as new.  They were nice enough to accommodate my extra requests even with their tight schedule, and they were great about coming to do some touchups after other remodel work was completed.
Alan always has great guys working for him that provide quality work, and I have always found them to be responsive to any of our concerns or requests along the way.  I would recommend Bella Casa Painting to anyone, and I'm sure we will use them again in the future!

I cannot fathom how this company got an A rating from others!  The painting was completed Summer of 2012 on both the wood siding on house/garage and the deck stain.  When choosing paint colors and having initial conversations with the owner, he was cordial and accommodating, helping me choose the right color.  The work was completed on schedule.  However, I was unhappy that his crew cleaned their brushes on the grass in my yard, leaving a mess, even though he said the rain would wash it away.  They did clean up the yard when the job was complete.  The trouble started this Spring, less than 1 year later when I noticed many cracks in the paint, peeling paint, bubbles in the paint,  the deck stain was worn through on the steps, etc.  I walked around my house and noted many issues including the underside of individual slat siding was peeling, and while one side of the house looked to have been properly sanded, the other side was lumpy and bumpy and looked really bad.  So - I called the owner and he agreed to come out.  He arrived promptly.  But he was in a terrible mood, was angry, disagreed with most of what I said, was defensive (even though I was careful to keep a professional demeanor).  I finally asked him if he was angry.  He said he had had a bad meeting with his accountant.  That is no excuse, and I thought his attitude was very unprofessional.  He made excuses for most of the problems, but agreed to send a painter out.  He sent a guy over who spent part of a day.  When he was finished, I again walked around the house and, while some of the areas were better, many of the original problems were still there.  So I called him again.  He and a crew member came out again.  Both times I had to take time off work.  This time, I stayed with the painter and pointed out the areas.  He told me that the bubbles I had seen in the paint were full of water!  How did THAT happen I wonder?  Did they paint in the rain?  When finished, I again walked around the house.  The one side of the house still looks awful, plus they had cleaned their brushes in the yard again.  NEITHER time did the owner call me afterward and ask if I was satisfied with the repair of the paint -- he never followed up to see if the job was done satisfactorily, he NEVER apologized--rather he seemed to be very unhappy I had called him to fix the paint job.  He was sarcastic and angry.  If he had been polite, apologetic, and professional, I would feel differently.  However, he is not a person I would want to deal with again.  Therefore I would NOT recommend Bella Casa to anyone.  The paint job didn't last even one year, and the owner is not customer oriented or professional.  Plus I lost half a day of work bird-dogging the painter.
Response from Bella Casa Painting
"Sorry about that! We did two days of touch ups under your supervision and I was under the impression we were good to go. I will certainly come out with some guys to take care of whatever you're seeing. Having painted hundreds of houses and almost never receiving a compliant I'm surprised and dismayed that you're upset! Again, if there's something you want us to do, let me know. Thanks"

The job went well. They were recommended by another contractor we hired and I didn't get other bids, so I can't speak to how competitive the pricing was. Alan was accommodating by squeezing our job in late in the painting season. We were out of town when the work was done, so can't comment on the work crew. The job was done well. There were a few minor touch up issues that we noticed, and he was quick to return and address these. The work looks great.

Easy to deal with, cleaned up nightly, finished on time, excellent results--I cannot remember the cost, but it was neither our most expensive or cheapest bid. We picked them because they were the most detailed in their bid--we felt we knew exactly what they were going to do.

After gathering several quotes, we decided to hire Bella Casa Painting to do our job.  We were looking for someone to paint all the window trim, storm windows, doors, soffits, and fascia around the exterior of our house.  It was done in conjunction with a gutter replacement, and the paint was to match the bronze color of the new gutters.
They brought in their crew to work around our scheduled replacement of the gutters, and they completed the whole project within a day of the time estimate they had provided, which I didn't think would be possible especially with the inclement weather we faced one of those days.  The crew did an excellent job masking off the house with plastic and tape, and they did a pretty good job of avoiding all the plants around the exterior throughout the project.
The quality of the painting is superb.  They used excellent product (Sherwin Williams Duration), and their painting was seamless.  The soffit areas, in particular, have the appearance of being factory applied on the sheet metal, despite areas where the previous paint had been peeling.  I haven't noticed any areas of overspray or drip marks, and they did an excellent job with the tedious job of painting all the storm windows.
Above all, communication was great throughout the process!  I would recommend Bella Casa and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for a future project!
