If you're in the market for a mortgage broker you won't find a better one than John Hastings! Over the past 15 years, John Hastings has been an invaluable resource giving sound, HONEST advice, as he guided through 2 closings and multiple refinances. He has done so much for us over the years that I can't possibly fit it all into one Angie's List review. Therefore I'll concentrate on our last closing. The process of the sale of home this last December was not as smooth as we would have wished. NONE of the bumps we hit had ANYTHING to do with John or his staff. Instead, the couple that purchased our home made a financial mistake shortly before closing. And when I say shortly, I mean Shortly!!!!! Whatever was done was sufficient enough to knock down their credit score to a point where they no longer qualified for the mortgage for our home. It took the work of my real estate agent, John Hastings, and a third party to remedy this error within one weeks time! To make a long story short, due to John's attention to detail, the experience he accumulated through the years, and the contacts he has made to assist him when situations like these develop, the closing not only went through on time, but was also coordinated with 3 other closing so they all happened on the same day! Even as we dealt with the issue above, at no time did I have any doubt that any and all actions that could possibly be taken were being called into effect. I would never choose to have difficulties like this, but when we did, my wife and I were sure glad that we had John as our advocate! If everyone did their jobs as well as John, there would be no need for forums such as Angies List! In the fifteen years that I've known him, John has never gotten it wrong once! I've leaned on John time after time after time. Each time John has patiently worked with me, whether or not he was on the clock! He has always been available for me to speak to, even when he is incredibly busy. He has no problem giving me not only his main office number, but also his cell number! He has called me during his lunch breaks, and on his way home from work. He has never played favorites, but views each customer he speaks with as his most important call of the day! If you are looking for a mortgage broker you can trust, I can't think of anyone better than John. When it comes to buying a house or refinancing, John Hastings IS THE BAR that everyone else tries to reach. Just give him a call and you'll see what I mean!
