Our old kitchen counter was at least 50 years old - it was time to replace it!  Bruce gave me lots of information about different options for countertops, and was extremely thorough in explaining the process of removing the old counter and installing a new one.  I had lots of questions and he was very patient and thorough in answering them.  Before giving an estimate for the job, he came to our house to see the existing countertop, take preliminary measurements and determine if there were any special considerations for the installation process (no charge for the visit - and he was the only  installer of the five I contacted to provide this level of service before he had a contract).  He made a number of suggestions - among them to add a granite radiator cap (our home was built in 1936 and has old fashioned radiators), and custom cutting the backsplash to fit around the windowsill above the sink.

He provided me with a list of suppliers along with some background information about each one, and information about stones that were in our price range and that would go well in our kitchen.   Once we decided to contract with him, he came to our home again to do final measurements and once again to explain the process in detail.  He was very accommodating in scheduling the installation around our travel plans.  Once we decided on a stone, the lead time for installation was two weeks.  We purchased a sink and faucet separately, and took care of the plumbing ourselves.

The installation itself went smoothly; the process of removing the old counter and installing the new one was about three hours.  The workmen were meticulous about protecting the floor, being sure that the support for the counter was absolutely level, and making the seams almost invisible.  They also were careful to clean up after themselves.  We love our new countertop - it gives new life to our kitchen!

I shopped around quite a bit and gathered three or four bids all within $75 of each other for my project. From the first phone contact I had with Bruce Botten of B&B Granite & Design, he made two important impressions on me: a) his company is committed to quality workmanship; and b) he wanted my business. His quick responses and consistent attention tipped the balance and made me decide to hire him. Boy, am I glad I did. Bruce was very up front about how he would work with me. He told me what he would do, how long it would take, and then he did exactly what he said. His crew was fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. I am generally of the philosophy that I, the homeowner, should take a hike while tradespeople are working; stay out of their way and let them do what they do best. Bruce surprised me by encouraging me to be present during the installation. He explained that B&B is proud of the way they work. He wanted me to be nearby so he could make sure I was satisfied. The installation was done in no time, and it was a pleasure to watch how the crew assembled the tops with skill, care, and obvious pride in their high-quality work. These countertops are gorgeous. The time between saying "You're hired" and shaking hands at the end of the project was maybe two weeks. Attentive, fast, fairly priced, and flawless. What more could anyone want?!

They did a nice job and the man who runs it was a pleasant person to work with. The price was also good.

Bruce was very responsive to our needs. We had a needed a fairly quick turn-around for our granite conter-tops, due to delays in another part of our house remodel. He was fast to come out for an estimate and was able to get the counter-tops fabricated in a very short time. His fabrication and install crews had a couple of minor mishaps. But in the end, all worked out. Bruce's pricing was also very competitive.

We were looking to replace a countertop in our guest bathroom and we wanted to have the project done by the New Year. I called Bruce on December 19 and asked what he can do. He mentioned that most businesses are closed around Christmas - New Year time, but he was able to fit us into his schedule and performed the installation before Christmas! Good quality work. Great results.

We have been coordinating the work of four different companies: to install the fireplace, mantle, surround and hearth, and hard-wood floors in our living room. It was important for us to perform everything in order without too much break in between the projects. B & B Granite & Design gave us estimate over the phone and were able to schedule and complete the job in a matter of days. Good quality installation. We are very happy with the results.

They were professional and I didn't have any problems with them. They cleaned up well. I did have them redo one piece because I didn't like how the grain was going, and they did it without any problems.

Bruce returned my call promptly to give me a price quote. He seemed upset when I asked for proof of insurance (I never got it) and he didn't return my call to schedule a measurement appointment. Bruce is a little rough around the edges, but my husband had better results with him than I did. We selected him because he beat everyone else's price. Bruce did the original measure to finalize the price quote, and he faxed it to my office. I had asked him to call when it was sent because it's a shared fax, but he never called. He only takes payment by check, which is part of the reason his prices are lower. I sent him the deposit and we scheduled the install when he received it. (He didn't actually cash the deposit check until after the work was done). We had some back and forth when they didn't have the template for my sink in their library, and I had to leave the sink on my front porch so they could come pick it up. The guy who tore out my old counters was an hour late and did seem at all interested in tearing out the tile backsplash as we had agreed. I didn't trust him, so we only had him tear out the counter. I also had an issue with the installers arriving later than scheduled. They didn't take off their shoes or put anything down, so I laid blankets over my white carpet to protect it. Bruce arrived about 20 minutes after the installers and he just opened the front door and walked right in! He started yelling at the installers about something unrelated to my counters. He asked for a check for the remaining balance before the work was complete and then left immediately with the check while the installers were still there. The work was done to my satisfaction and the counters look great, but I thought he could have been more professional.

Bruce turned around the work very quickly (2 weeks) after measuring, and arrived to install on the date he originally estimated. The installation was very good. One seam was needed and this was done very well.

They came in the day he said he would and delivered, they were great. There was some glue sticking up in the corners and they were here within hours to fix it.

Bruce and his install team did a good job of getting the granite to fit the space in the wet bar area (one wall wasn't square so the drywall needed to be cut to fit a three-sided piece of granite). Bruce also installed the same granite in our lower level bathroom. The only problem we had was with the back splash. Unfortunately, the back splash broke on the install of the wet bar and they forgot to bring the back splash for the vanity. They fixed each of these problems quickly and to our satisfaction.

Great! We were going to go with a product that went over the existing counters, a thin granite composite. We are so glad we didn't. We have 3/4 inch granite counters that are absolutely beautiful. Considering all the counters, full back splash (counter to cabinets) in kitchen, the quality and beauty of real, pure granite, and it is almost the same price. And we also went with the highest price level granite! B&B is fantastic. The tear out by Rick was wonderful, so clean (much cleaner then other product) and fast. He did the tear out in the morning, installers did counters in the afternoon of the same day. I think they usually tear out the night before installation but scheduling happened to work out the same day. The seams - wonderful! Bruce has years of experience and the workmanship in cutting, measuring and installation shows it. A surprise was the lazy susan, love it, so nice on table, hot foods, etc. We are very, very pleased. Can't say enough good things.

The workmanship was great. We chose an open flowing granite for the kitchen, and they fashioned the granite pieces so that it looked like the graining was flowing consistently through the room. Bruce, Rick & crew worked together to get a fairly large job done very well. Felt comfortable that all workmen were trustworthy to leave alone in the house.

THEY CAME IN AT A GREAT PRICE COMPARED TO OTHER PRODUCT TYPES OF COUNTERS! THEY REALLY DIDN'T COST THAT MUCH MORE THAN REGULAR LAMINATE AND WE INSTALLED GRANITE PRETTY MUCH THROUGH OUR WHOLE HOME! THE CAMBRIA WAS ACTUALLY MORE EXPENSIVE. HE WAS ACCOMMODATING TO US AND THEY WERE QUICK TO SATISFY. REALLY VERY GOOD AND TIMELY.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND B&B GRANITE & DESIGN. BRUCE BOTTEN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL IN HIS APPROACH OF HELPING US SELECT THE GRANITE COUNTERTOP AND HIS ADVICE WAS GREAT IN WHAT WE NEEDED TO DO IN OUR KITCHEN TO HAVE THE GRANITE TOPS INSTALLED. BRUCE WAS USUALLY AVAILABLE TO TALK TO ME BY PHONE, AND WHEN NOT HE PROMPTLY RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS. BRUCE WAS PERSONALLY INVOLVED FROM THE TEMPLATING TO ACTUAL INSTALLATION OF THE COUNTERTOPS. HIS TIMELINE FOR MY PROJECT WAS MET AND EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATION. I HAVE PERSONALLY DEALT WITH MANY CONTRACTORS AND WOULD RATE B&B GRANITE & DESIGN ONE OF THE BEST.

A SALES REP CAME TO MEASURE AND GIVE ESTIMATE. I RECEIVED PRICE SHEET FOR 5 LEVELS OF GRANITE AND 2 WAREHOUSES TO SEE SAMPLES. THE CHOICES WERE UNBELIEVABLE. AFTER MAKING A CHOICE, BRUCE AND TWO CRAFTSMAN CAME TO CREATE THE TEMPLATE FOR THE AREA. ALTHOUGH I HAD TO DELAY THE PROPOSED INSTALL DATE, BRUCE ACCOMMODATED GRACIOUSLY. THE INSTALLERS WERE METICULOUS AND I'M PLEASED WITH THE JOB. GETTING THE GRANITE WAS A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. EVERYTHING FROM THE PREP TO THE FINAL INSTALL WAS WELL-PERFORMED. BRUCE IS A GOOD COORDINATOR. I'M HAPPY OVERALL.
