John Loomans unduly influenced my buyers against buying my home due to wiring. I subsequently had my wiring inspected by two master electricians both of when said the wiring was up to code in my state and didn't pose a danger. Loomans cost me a $455,000 sale. People need to understand the the home inspection industry is completely unregulated, allowing inspectors to say anything they want, true or not, without recourse.

They were able to come on very short notice and provided us with a very thorough inspection. The inspector answered all of our questions and provided us with a copy of the report immediately after the inspection.

Mark Slotvig is thorough and provides great detail in his inspections. Plus, AmeriSpec's appraisal binder is thorough and includes photos to be referenced later. After the inspection, I knew all the issues in that home and felt confident about the home I was purchasing. I've used him for other home purchases and I would definitely use him again if I buy another home in the future.

Excellent. Our inspector not only did the work he was hired to do, inspect every aspect of the house in which he was required to and recorded his findings, but he went above and beyond. He patiently went over everything with us and answered all of our questions. We never felt rushed. He offered insight and shared his vast knowledge of our particular situation. Overall the inspection was fine. We ultimately decided not to go ahead with the home purchase due to some issues the inspector pointed out. I am giving a B rating because I appreciate that. However, we caught some potentially problems ourselves due to exterior and interior water damage. There were a couple issues that we sent him our own pictures about that we felt he should have seen or if not, at least given us some advice about whether we should walk away. We have now found a different property and will go with a different inspection service this time. The inspector did not fully answer our concerns about this and stopped responding to my emails. However, the company was very happy to do push emails to sign up for some expensive binder and quick review before we had time to fully absorb the information on the inspection.

I know that your inspector had responded to your 7-point email about various issues and had spoken with you at the inspection as well as conversations you had with our office staff. After reviewing the picture you sent to him he ascertained that the suspicious "water damage" on the ceiling was actually just a shadow from the curtain rod. He thought that he had sent out his opinion regarding this but discovered that it had gotten hung up in his drafts folder and failed to send. Therefore we apologize for the lack of response. John Kaiser was great, he was very professional. He let me use his tape measure to measure some rooms! He showed me everything I needed to know and also left his ladder in the garage in case I wanted to see the crawl space to store my stuff.. I would definitely hire him again!
