AMB came out right away. Their estimate was competitive and we were told the job would take six days. They told us that the City of Minneapolis wanted an engineer to be involved in the project, so one was hired. They were chosen for the job and the contract was negotiated and signed by mid-September. In late-October we were told the beam was done. The beam did not look right per the engineer's drawing. We voiced our concerns to AMB but they were not being addressed in a positive manner. Finally we had to hire the engineer for a second site visit to inspect the beam. The engineer determined that parts of the beam needed to be replaced. The project was completed in early-November and the final payment was sent the following week.

OTHER CONTRACTORS WOULDN'T EVEN BID, IT HAD SO MANY UNKNOWNS. AMB NOT ONLY SOLVED THE MANY MAJOR PROBLEMS/SURPRISES THAT WERE UNCOVERED, THEY SUGGESTED COST-EFFECTIVE RENOVATIONS THAT GAVE US 600 SQ FEET MORE OF USABLE SPACE, PRESERVED OUR STONE FIREPLACE, AND DID HIGH-QUALITY, CAREFUL WORK FOR A FAIR PRICE. AND THEY WERE A PLEASURE TO HAVE AROUND.
