Joe installed the de-icing system and the gutter covers on 12-6-2023 and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend All Bright Home Services to anyone. Joe answered any questions and even connected my extension cords for me! Thank you Joe and Ladonna for a great experience.

I've been using Allbright for about 6 years and found (new) owners Joe Pettijohn and wife LaDonna are the some of the most dedicated, hard-working and conscientious contractors I've ever dealt with. I'd highly recommend them.

Great. He was open to using our purchased supplies . He used our gutter guards but suggested a different heating wire. We appreciated his willingness to use what we had purchased and also his expertise in suggesting a different wire. He purchased that and showed us the receipt. He was friendly and everything looks great. He came out and gave us the estimate and then performed the work immediately. I don’t know if the price was good because we didn’t get other bids.

The technician was prompt and courteous and made QUICK work of washing the windows...simply amazing. The windows were spotless!! I would definitely recommend and hire this company again.

On the morning of 8/13/13 I pulled out of my driveway and in less than a block my car had a flat tire. I have run-flat tires, so I was able to drive immediately to a mechanic. Once there, they removed a piece of metal from my back tire and, thankfully, were able to patch it (run-flat tires are not cheap and mine were new as of 7/11/13).
When I got home that evening, I spent some time walking my driveway, which borders my neighbor’s property. I found an abundance of silt, a cigarette butt, and a plastic hose-like attachment in my yard. I asked my neighbor if they recently had work done on their house and they said they had their gutters cleaned by Allbright Cleaning on 8/12. I told them about my tire and that I believed Allbright’s failure to clean up to be responsible. My neighbor called Allbright with their concerns and gave the company my phone number to follow up.
Mike Arens, the owner of Allbright, called me on 8/16 and left a message. I returned the call that same day. I explained what had happened and, after some hesitation, Mr. Arens agreed to send me a check for the cost to repair my tire ($50). He said he couldn’t “take a hit like that” and he would be passing the charge onto his employee who did the work. Mr. Arens recorded part of our conversation.
When two weeks passed and I still had not received a check, I spoke with Mr. Arens again. He explained that he had lost my address and again promised to send me the money. After another week went by and I still did not receive a check, I called again. At this point, Mr. Arens questioned my story, saying the situation couldn’t be recreated. He also accused me of being “too aggressive” and threatened to not send me anything. (Keep in mind that I was exceedingly courteous and polite to Mr. Ahrens during each phone call, despite my growing frustration.) He then took my phone number and said he would call me when he mailed the check. I have not heard from him since and I never received the $50 he repeatedly promised.
My neighbors felt horrible about the whole thing and wound up writing me a check for $50. I can't speak to how they felt about the quality of work they received but I know it cost them an extra $50 and they were not happy with the way AllBright handled the situation.

The workers who come to clean are on time, polite, and get the job done well. Yesterday I had Mike (not the owner Mike; a different Mike) for the first time. He, in particular, does a great job and spends time discussing the project and my windows with me. Owner Mike has always given me a discount because I pay in cash. The first time I used their services some 6 or 7 years ago, the workers cleaned the screens by brushing them onto my floor. I asked in subsequent years that they not do that; that they clean the screens outside. They have always done that. Owner Mike does not have particularly effective people skills. He is brusque. I have never found him pleasant to deal with, but because they did the services I requested, I continued to do business with them. Until today. Mike called me at 8:00 this Saturday morning to tell me that I have "too many conditions" and they couldn't make money doing the job for the price they were charging me (apparently because I wanted the screens scraped outside, and because worker Mike yesterday kindly offered to scrape a window that had some gunk on it; worker Mike did not charge me extra for that scraping, but I can only infer that owner Mike thought he should have). Owner Mike then said he was either had to charge me more or not do the work for me any more. I said that was fine. He then said that he was going to take me off their database, and hung up on me. I was really quite stunned to be treated this way. After reading the reports of others on this site, I can see that owner Mike's treatment of me is not unusual. I would not use this company again because of his abrasive and unprofessional treatment of me. I give the company an "F" because to me, this treatment overrides the good work owner Mike's subs have done cleaning my windows.

They do a very good job. They are clean, neat, and punctual. I have a couple of windows that are very hard to get to and they able to reach them. They have also cleaned my light fixtures.

I was not satisfied with the work that was done. I can appreciate that there may not be many leaves to clear out, but I expect that the workman will at least go through the process of cleaning that I am paying for! The management was completely unresponsive to my complaint. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

What a difference two years had made since I initially submitted a report on this company. Although realizing that it was short notice, he turned ''interrogator'' by asking why was the decision made to do windows that week. (All that was expected from him was either a ''yes'' or ''no'' that it couldn't be fitted into his schedule.) He said that he would call later in the day with an answer. When he called the following week and asked if we wanted the windows washed, he was told ''no'' and to remove us from his mailing list. When he started laughing about the request, the conversation was ended with a telephone hang up on our end.

The company rescheduled three times. The first person who came cleaned only 1 downspout. When I asked if he had done all the gutters and downspouts he said, yes. The next day gutters were still leaking. After a call to Mike, a second person was sent to do the job and arrived within 1/2 hour. It was completed satisfactorily, but only after my husband did some problem solving for him. Both workers were polite.

THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THAT I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY AND I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN EXTREMELY PLEASED AT THE PROFESSIONALISM, COURTESY, PROMPTNESS AND THE SPEED IN WHICH THE WORK IS COMPLETED. ON 11/17/04, I HAD MY WINDOWS DONE INSIDE AND OUT, AND I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS. EVERYTHING WAS DONE {INCLUDING THE WINDOW SILLS) AND THERE'S NOT ONE STREAK TO BE FOUND ON ANY WINDOW! WINDOW WASHING WAS CONTRACTED LAST FALL FOR A $213 CHARGE, WE WERE INVOICED $360, ALL BRIGHT AGREED TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSED RATE. I WAS OUT OF TOWN WHEN THE WORK WAS DONE SO I DON'T KNOW IF THE JOB WAS WELL DONE. IN MAY I TALKED WITH THE OWNER ABOUT WINDOW CLEANING AND HE AGREED TO THE SAME PRICE AS LAST FALL. THE DAY SCHEDULED FOR WINDOW WASHING HE ARRIVED WITH THE WINDOW CLEANER SAYING HE COULDN'T MAKE MONEY ON THE RATE QUOTED AND THE COST WOULD BE $360 + TAX. THEY WERE HERE, SO I AGREED TO HAVE THE WORK DONE. THE WINDOWS LOOKED GREAT WHEN WORK WAS COMPLETED, BUT IT WAS AN OVERCAST DAY. THE NEXT DAY IT WAS SUNNY AND THERE WAS A FILM ON THE WINDOWS, AND WE HAD A BROKEN WINDOW RISE, THOUGH NOT SURE THAT WAS CAUSED BY THE WINDOW CLEANER.
