We can provide complete turnkey A.I.P. solutions. We'll also work with your contractor providing our expertise and products. We work in partnership with various healthcare professionals and/or directly with the homeowners and their care givers. Whether you are looking for simple solutions or adjustments in your home to make life easier, or have an extensive bathroom remodel in mind, we can provide it. Our philosophy begins with an understanding that one of the biggest threats to our health and way of life as we age is a fall. It only makes sense to look for simple solutions shown to reduce the frequency and/or the severity of falls before they happen. Our recommended solutions always start by focusing on simple ways to make everyday tasks and activities more convenient. More often than not, these convenience solutions are also key in preventing falls and injury. We call this concept "preventive convenience", and it can be incorporated into all areas of your home - often inexpensively. During our free initial consultation with you, we'll learn about you, your home, and your unique situation, to put together a comprehensive proposal including a short and long term plans based on your wants and needs.

Bob was great and the quality of work was great. We are thankful every day for gate.

Everybody thinks the gate was original to the home.

hiIt was a great experience from beginning to end. Bob stayed in contact regularly and kept me in the loop. We completely tore out the old bathroom and put in a bariatric walk-in tub, toilet with bidet seat, tile floor with in-floor heat, and vanity. The final result is beautiful and functional. Given the age of the home (mother-in-law's home) and the tight quarters, it is just amazing that they could do this. Highly recommended.

I called AgeRight Retrofit to get an estimate for a wheelchair ramp. I gave them the measurements I had and had a callback from Mike within a couple of hours. Mike came out to verify the measurements and get a look at the site. Two weeks later he and an associate came and installed the ramp which had been delivered directly to my home. They had to remove an aluminum awning that would have been in the way of the ramp but that was not a problem for them. We are very pleased with the ramp and the service we received from AgeRight Retrofit and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

We were very happy with them. The price was very good. The experience was very good. My neighbor said that she had called somebody a couple of years ago and they were very costly. AgeRight Retrofit, Inc was reasonable. The dryer is still working. Their response was very good.

We learned about AgeRight Retrofit at a community forum for 'caregivers'. We contacted them to learn more about them, and also checked Angie's List. There was one report on them, for building a ramp. So, we asked a lot of questions about their experience. We especially liked that it's a small family firm, and they exclusively work to allow people to stay safely in their own homes. Since we weren't the ones paying the bill, we communicated the information to the two seniors (parents) who needed the walk-in tub. They contacted AgeRight, and scheduled a home visit. We also attended the home visit, so we could all ask questions. Mike was very patient with our questions, and then he took detailed measurements. He showed brochures of the various types of walk-in tubs, and told us where we (and the seniors) could go to see the selected model -- "Rane", model RM3. Then we discussed grab bars, and Mike showed us a catalog of many more than ones seen in big-box stores. Given the small size of both bathrooms in question, the ones he suggested are GREAT! They are very firmly attached to the wall or floor as needed, and can be easily moved out of the way (with arthritic hands) so the tub door can be opened and closed.
One concern we had was how noisy the work might be. Mike said that the first day (when the old tub is removed) would be the noisiest, but it really wasn't that bad. Several ladies played bridge in an adjoining room (with the door closed) and they hardly heard a thing! The most noise occurred when the grab bars were installed (drilling in to the tile wall and floor) at the end of the week.
Mike gave us a clear picture of what would happen when, and how long the job would take (1 week). He told us what we needed to move out of a bathroom closet, so we could get that done in advance. After all our questions were answered, Mike said he would send his "worst case estimate", factoring in things like the possible need to replace flooring under the old bath if there was old water damage, etc. The estimate arrived within a week, and the seniors decided to do the job.
Mike came back to do final measurements, and to collect the 1/2 deposit. The crew arrived promptly on the appointed start-date, and the work was completed within the agreed week. They cleaned up beautifully each night, so that the toilet and sink could be used each night. We had not expected that!
All of us in the family definitely recommend AgeRight Retrofit! Not cheap, but worth every penny!

The ramp they recommended lived up to expectations, exceeded them really, reasonably attractive, reasonable to take down (I haven't put it back up yet, but I don't think that is going to be a problem), and reasonably priced -- just a few rentals of a temporary ramp would exceed this purchase cost.

I dealt mostly with Bob Kasbohm, who was very, very responsive. The time from measurement to order to shipment and installation was less than two weeks, they made a great effort to get it in in time for our visitors, and I generally found them easy to work with.

My one piece of advice would be to ask lots of questions, especially about what things are going to look like, how they will work. I'm happy with the installation, but I was a little surprised by parts of it, and I realized as we went along that I was making guesses or assumptions about some of the options they sketched out (physically, in a kind of blueprint) for me. I think they have a clear idea where they're going and what things will look like, and they may not always realize that the customer has missed something, so ask questions, even the dumb ones.

But we were happy with the results and the relationship, and we would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

They came in and accessed my home as to what I need. They give a quote first. I said I want things that I am interested in getting. Even the hand grill that goes into the garage helps me to get into the house. They gave me the price of what that would cost. They gave $50 less for the first service for any installation that they do. The work looks perfect, and they matched the color of one side to the other. They are very flexible. They will come in when I want them to come in. They don't call and ask what I need in my house. They made sure the railings are secured enough. There was some molding taken off while drilling, so I called them, and they came in right away to fix it.
