Advanced Carpet Restoration

The guy showed up to the house to clean the carpets. We called them on the $149 up to 700 sq ft area coupon that they had. Right away when he came over to clean he told us its going to cost $105 more because Bedrooms, Hallways are considered HIGH TRAFFIC areas. Seriously? So what is not a high traffic area? Areas that dont get walked on or what? Well then I woldnt need those areas cleaned if theres no traffic there. So we were for sure not happy about the extra charge being so much more right away. Looks more like a hidden cost then anything else. Also I have 2 small children at home that play on the floors all the time and I wasnt happy about the fact that he was wearing his shoes around the house without any covers on them. Also I have brand new wood stairs that were never covered and his hoses were rubbing and scratching against them during the cleaning. This is a higher end home modern/contemporary brand new remodeled finishes and nothing was protected during the cleaning process. He did wipe down the stairs a little but I had to go back after him and wipe more off from the marks he left during the cleaning process mostly left from his shoes. I have contacted them about this concern but got no reply back. I woldnt use them again. Carpets do look cleaner but not as we expected. He looked like he was in a hurry and many stains are still left on the carpet. We actually got the stains cleaned out ourselves with just a carpet cleaner attachments that goes on our vacuum. So I dont feel like there was much effort put into it for $277 and it was done in about 1hr.

This is the third time we had used Advanced Carpet Restoration. They confirmed that they would arrive between 8-10am, but Mark (the owner) arrived about 10:20am.
We had originally scheduled the appointment for a maintenance cleaning ($119.95 for 700 square feet). Knowing that we had slightly more square footage, we were expecting some upward adjustment to the cost. However, we got a very different experience -- almost and quot;bait and switch.and quot; After reviewing the carpeted area, the owner essentially articulated the need for the high traffic restoration service, which more than doubled the cost. Clearly, as the consumer in the position, if one says and quot;no,and quot; you have no idea what quality of work you would get. Along the way, he kept trying to sell us more services (e.g., sanitizing, carpet protector, carpet stretching). He listened poorly and was abrupt.
In the end, it cost about 75 cents per square foot instead of the advertised 20 cents (approximately). We will go on record as stating that the provider does good quality work. The carpet is clean and the minor stains we had are gone. We know the and quot;upsellingand quot; tactics are not uncommon for this industry. However, we found this experience to be unpleasant and likely not use this company's services again.

Mark offered us a carpet cleaning for $90. He suggested a deep scrub and sanitizer for and additional $226. He did not pressure us on the additional expense other than to say he thinks doing so could really help our situation. We agreed to the entire package. He completed the work in about an hour. The carpet looks very good. Much to my surprise, the three year old stain is gone as well.

We have no complaints. They were punctual and courteous.

Initially it went fine, but over the course of the next two weeks stains and spots started to reappear. I am dissatisfied. I don't think this company did a quality job.

The service was truly top-notch and professional. The service began on-time and was completed on-time and at the quoted price. I was referred to ACR by my brother who had similar work done and was more than satisfied. I will definitely use ACR again in the future.

I hired them because they had a 99 dollar special for a certain amount of feet. They told me that they should also do my high traffic carpet areas also. They also put some disinfectant down for pets and children. I looked the disinfectant up on line and you can get four gallons for 118 dollars. They ripped me off. The chairs they cleaned didn't come clean. The technician told me that if I had any odors come back within two years they would take care of it. But that wasn't any where on their paper work. It actually said that I only had three days to complain. It took two days to dry and then it was the weekend. They didn't give me an opportunity to deal with that. I was shocked at the price because I could have bought the carpet for that much.

This company was easy to get in touch with. They were willing to work around my schedule to make the appointment. There was one person who came in to do the work and he was fast and efficient. The carpet looks okay and this company met my expectations.

I'm disappointed by the amount of money that I paid which essentially turned out to be $260 for one hour. He also neglected to move a small movable shelf in the bathroom and instead cleaned around it. They also failed to get the corners around my fireplace. It's a waste of money to pay for such shoddy workmanship. I asked him why he didn't clean around the corners and shelf and he said because they don't move anything. I had them out again a second time to clean the corners properly and to try again to remove the stains as they didn't the first time. I will never use them again.

They do excellent work, work hard to get the spots out and try different methods.

Their machine broke down, so they arrived in the afternoon, not morning. A pleasant receptionist had informed me of such. I had moved most of the furniture pieces prior to their arrival. Vince reviewed what cleaning, I had planned on doing. He indicated that cleaning of both couch and carpet, would remove the scotchgard. I agreed to add that. He also, asked if I wanted an area rug cleaned. I requested he do that. They took less than 30 minutes to complete the work, and then asked me to check it out. The area was clean and work appeared thorough. Vince noted they had not charged me for area rug, and said I could leave a TIP for that. I've never ever, been asked to TIP someone, that does such a job for me. I didn't know exactly what the amount was in such cases and wrote a SECOND check directly to Vince for $50.00, because it caught me so off-guard. I don't think it's appropriate to give a personal TIP to a company's representative. I won't be using this company again. Their ad misleads.

They are very polite and helpful. They did an excellent job.

Poor. The cleaner was supposed to arrive Wed between 10-12. At 11:45, the cleaner called stating he was unable to make it due to a job that was taking longer than expected. I understand things come up, yet not making an appt and calling late to cancel is a real hassle! That's why I use Angie's list! My husband and took time off work to be home, and made arrangements for child care. When he could not make it, we cancelled the job. Another tech called stating that they could get us in first thing the next morning and give a 10% discount. The next day the cleaner came out and stated due to the stains (normal wear for the most part, I would say) he needed to charge more than the stated price. This added insult to injury and we felt taken advantage of since I assumed the stated price of $45 would clean the carpet sufficiently. We refused to pay the extra and the carpet was not much better than before. Perhaps that is why other Angie's list companies charge $120 or so.

Mark did a great job on the couch and love seat! He came back the next day to do them with special cleaner. He spend over 5 hours on the basement stairs and did a great job.

We asked Mark to give us a cost analysis before he started. He asked when we had last cleaned the carpet. It was new 4 years ago, we have no pets, there are only two of us living here and we never wear outdoor shoes inside. Still he referred to the carpet as "very soiled" and would require DEEP SCRUB adding another $60 cost. We asked questions about his assessment and estimate which apparently offended him as he became very defensive. We explained that we have a right and an obligation to question the cost of work being done on our home. His response was, "I know you are an Angie's List member" as if that was a negative. He was critical of "a coupon" people who wanted the job done for the price on the coupon. He went on to complain about customers who watched him while he worked. He completed the job in a little more than an hour and gave us a discount as the carpet "wasn't too dirty anyway".

The work was well done. I don't know if I can repair an individual wool rug which their tech said they could do but it was left with dark spots. They left debris on site and left an empty bottle of some fluid on the lawn beside the driveway. The contents of one of the cleaning machines was also left in the yard.

VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. EXCELLENT WORK. WENT THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE AND PUT PLASTIC SLIPS UNDER THE LEGS OF ALL FURNITURE TO MAKE SURE NO MARKS WERE LEFT ON THE CARPET. GOOD ATTENTION TO DETAIL. WE'LL DEFINITELY UTILIZE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
