Bruce was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. He claimed to have 19 years of experience on the job, and I believe it. I'm an engineer, and prior to the inspection I had walked through the house with my friend (a former HVAC technician), my father-in-law (a contractor), my grandfather (a former contractor), and Bruce saw things we all missed.

Bruce is very friendly and helpful, did the work quickly and seemed very knowledgable. He went above and beyond the call of duty to help us resolve an issue with repair work not showing up on our property's website due some kind of error down at City Hall, and the folks down there were giving us the run-around. Bruce got on the phone with one of the people there that he knew and resolved the issue. It was totally not his job to do this, and he could have just told us that it was our problem to fix, but instead he gave us a hand when we needed it. Thanks Bruce!

I would highly recommend Bruce. He was very professional thorough. Both the bank and the Radon Mitigation company who saw his reports commented to me on how well the report was done compared to others they have seen.
On both occasions we had him out to our house we gave him very short notice and he was able to work with us. Will recommend him to friends in MPLS.

I had Bruce Blumenthal from Acucheck come to do a home inspection on a house I was interested in purchasing. I had found him through a recommendation from my realtor.
When setting up the inspection, Bruce was very prompt about returning my calls and getting the time set up. He was also right on time with having the work completed when it came to walking me through the house after his inspection.
Bruce was very thorough and highly informative with explaining what he had found and answering any questions I had. He actually stayed on site later than was initially estimated in order to make sure I had all the information. He pointed out both the good and bad and provided me with a very detailed report spelling out everything he had shown me.
A nice bonus, he even gave me a book on home maintenance, which was particularly nice since this was my first home purchase. The book had never been mentioned, so it was a nice surprise.
I also had Bruce perform a radon test in the basement, which I had decided on doing after when would have been ideal to minimize the amount of work and travel. He was happy do take care of it for me and made an extra trip out to the property to get the test set up. He was very prompt in providing me with the results as well.
I would absolutely recommend Bruce and Acucheck for home inspections. Though I hope to be in my home for quite a while, hiring them again would be a no-brainer.

Bruce showed up on time and was very thorough with his inspection. He walked us through what he found, and even gave us some tips/information on operating the furnace, humidifier, etc. This was especially helpful for us as first time homebuyers. We didn't feel rushed to understand his findings, and his report was thorough. He included pictures which we also found to be helpful. We would recommend Bruce to others.
