I called for an estimate and Tony came out to my home. We walked around outside and I showed him the area where most of the water was leaking into my basement in the front of my house. There were two more areas that I suspected might have small leaks so I asked Tony to come in my basement to look at the areas by the chimney and backyard that I was concerned about. While Tony was in my basement I showed him all three areas that I suspected had leaks - the area in the front I had already showed him outside and the areas by the chimney and in the back that weren’t as obviously leaking to get his opinion on whether he thought they might be an issue. We then went back outside so I could show him the chimney and back yard areas on the exterior of the house as well. A short time later I received a quote and called Tony with questions. Among the several questions that I asked were: 1) details about the warranty/guarantee on the work and 2) given the number of leaks or potential leaks that I had, whether I needed to have them do work on the entire house or the entire front of the house since that area had the largest leak. Tony said at the time that obviously they could do as much of the house as I wanted, but with his 30+ years of experience he was “confident” that doing work in the areas he diagramed would solve my issues. I trusted his professional opinion and went forward with the work, which cost $3000. When the crew came out to do the work, they did not find any big cracks or issues in the area on the front of the house that had the largest leak. I called both Barb and Tony and expressed my concern to the crew at my home that they had not found the area with the leak in the front of my home because given the large amount of water that was coming in I expected they would find a clear issue. Again Tony mentioned his 30+ years of experience and reassured me at the time that he was “confident” that the work they had done would resolve my issue. He said that sometimes they don’t find an obvious crack but that didn’t mean they didn’t solve the problem. Again I trusted his professional opinion and dropped the issue. A few months later when the snow began to melt in the spring I had a large amount of water leak into my basement in the same exact area in the front of my house. I immediately emailed Tony and sent several pictures of the leak. I noted in my email that this leak was in the same place as before. I had a phone call with Tony to discuss and again mentioned the leak was in the same place as before. He indicated on the call that he had looked at the pictures, asked for additional pictures, and at the time said nothing to indicate that he didn’t agree with that fact that the leak was coming from the same place. After coming out to my house to view the exterior again, he left me a message that he thought additional work needed to be done in a very small area adjacent to the area they worked on the first time and that he was going to charge me $2000 to come back out and fix the problem. Since the area of additional work proposed was a small fraction of the size of the original work area I was shocked at the cost and also confused as to why this wouldn’t be included under the warranty / guarantee since the leak was appearing in the same spot as before. I left a message to that effect and asked Tony to return my call. When Tony called me back and I tried to explain my concerns he immediately became very defensive and rude. He accused me of lying and making up things that never happened when I expressed my frustration that I had asked if a larger area needed to be covered as part of the original quote process. I also brought up the fact that I specifically called them on the day they did the work concerned that they hadn’t found the issue. He originally denied that as well, but then eventually acknowledged that I did call them on the day of the work concerned that they hadn’t resolved the issue when I mentioned I could look up the call on my phone records. However, then he began to deny ever coming into my house to look at the basement. I can only assume this was to avoid responsibility for inaccurately diagnosing the problem. He then began to say that I never told him that the area of my house with the biggest leak was leaking. His various arguments made no sense for a number of reasons 1) I would never hire someone to fix a leak if they didn’t even bother to look at the area where the leak was appearing in my home. 2) Given the fact that I paid to fix two additional separate areas that I suspected potentially had very small leaks or could leak in the future, why would I not make sure the area with the largest leak was covered? 3) I specifically called to tell them that I thought they didn’t address the biggest issue and asked if they would expand the work area on the day they were at my home - clearly indicating I was willing to pay for additional work if needed. Clearly the issue was not correctly diagnosed and Tony would not take any responsibility for that despite his “30+ years of experience” he continually mentioned. Throughout the conversation Tony would not let me speak without interrupting and talking over me continuing to insist I was lying and then hung up on me. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer and was in tears following our phone conversation. I tried to call him back to further discuss the issue but he would not answer my calls. I left him a message and Barb called me back. Barb was much kinder and more professional, but would not acknowledge that I had a right to be upset as a customer. She also accused me of lying about Tony looking at the leaks in my basement even though she was not present at the time of his visit. She continued to state that he didn’t go look at the leak in my basement as though that somehow relieved him of the responsibility to accurately diagnose the problem or listen to me when I said I didn’t think it had been fixed the day of the work. She offered to have the crew come back out to do work in the small area for no charge. They came back out and did some work, but it became apparent this spring again that they still didn’t fix the issue. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

It went really good. The crew showed up on time. They worked hard and were very professional. When the job was done they walked me around and showed me the finished product and answered any other questions I had. I was very happy with the work they did.

Hired Tony to fix a ground water issue in my basement. He was always prompt with phone calls, email. He had to come back a couple times to correct the problem, each time was done under warranty. When we had a large rain fall a few months later I was still getting water in the basement, his crew came again and had to do a larger project for additional cost, but it did fix the problem. Was always impressed because when I came home it was hard to notice that any work was done because they were so neat doing their work.

We needed basement waterproofing and we called this company. They came out and went very quickly around saying all this nice stuff about how great their work is and how nice it will look. I saw a diagram on their website of how they do the work. We thought well, this looks all right. From then on thing after thing tuned turned out not to be work that was explained to us in the walkthrough. They told us we would get really nice custom block window wells. They also said they would do the grading correctly.. I s*** you not. The "Custom window wells" were nothing but 1 row on cheap blocks that don't even have a finishing top. I was stunned. In the front of the house the worker, young guy not to smart, put blocks around a window then brought me over ... it was one layer of blocks... the window "well" wasn't even dug down, and he said it was done. I asked if they were doing to dig the rest of the window wells out, and he seemed confused. Their website showed a great diagram on how to do the grading correctly... and they really did not do so with the window wells. After days of them working, we had a rainstorm. Water pooled up in the front yard because they didn't put enough dirt in. It's like they were skimping or lazy. We had them come back out and they put a very small amount of dirt down. Didn't solve the problem. Window wells were not square to the house. Their depths were not the same so that if you looked at them from the basement they all came to different levels. When I asked them to be the same levels, the workers were literally dumbfounded at how they accomplish this. We don't know if the job was done correctly. We are going to court with them fighting the remainder 50% of the bill. Just terrible work. Check out the photo below. I swear to god this was presented to me as a "finished window well"

"First of all I want to say the satisfaction of my all customers is always first priority. We've been in business for over 30 years and have thousands of satisfied customers I deeply regret any misunderstanding this customer had. Everything was clearly stated on the proposal he had received prior to the project and I myself went over the details with him before we started. The window wells were done properly. Any and all cracks were dugout, cleaned and sealed. The grading work had a great slope and was compacted well. Everything looked great. I, the owner personally inspected this work. I also have before, during and after photographs of this work, a written contract with his signature as documented proof and a Email from the homeowner after the completion stating he was happy and sending the balance due. The problem started AFTER the work was completed, there were heavy rainstorms that overflowed his dilapidated gutter system which I warned him about on our first meeting, and when the water poured over the sides of the gutters it went directly into the window wells, filling them up with water. The result was water coming in around the window seams. The heavy rainstorms that overflowed the gutters also washed the compacted soil away from some of our work area. These are things out of our control and can't be covered by any warranty."

They arrived on time, worked very hard and did even more than I was expecting. It was a "close quarters'' job and they cleaned up very well. We have not had water seepage but no heavy rains yet. We have had water problems the last 3-4 springs after the snow melt and heavy spring rains. I will know more in another 5-6 months but I am very optimistic that the cracks in the foundation (probably in the mortar joints of my 90 year-old house) have been sealed.

"[member name removed] was a pleasure to work with. She understood most older home's water problems are was caused by issues on the exterior of the home . We inspected the area carefully, found the problem, and came to an affordable solution. Although it was a big job, we worked extra hard to complete to her project and stay on schedule for the next important customer. We are confident that her home is now completely waterproofed !!!"

He never came to see how the water proofing was affecting the interior, which I thought was odd. He came and scoped but never came back to the site. He sent a crew, but he doesn't make sure that his solution is fixing the problem. He said it would take 3 days, then the crew said it would take 2 days. It took them around 6 days, and they trashed the lawn. They did two parts of the project, and they could've stopped and done the waterproofing after our guests had come. He was so unbelievably rude, and had a bunch of excuses for why this had happened. He put in an underground tube so the downspout would drown out into the middle of the lawn. We had water pouring into our home all winter and he wouldn't do anything about it because he said that he told us we had to move the snow away from the spout all winter. That is something that I never would've agreed to. I just want to make other people aware of his service.

"Some of what (removed member name) said is true, the job took longer than expected due to record high temperatures and a ridicules high dew point combined with two giant rain storms. She was not home when I was at the jobsite and assumed that I had not been there. Unfortunately she neglected to keep the drain tile outlet clear of snow and ice as I instructed her to, and it could not drain as designed. Our customers satisfaction is very important to us, we make every effort to ensure our work is done on time and to industries standards. After 28 years in business, our goal is to please all of our customers, all the time."
