There's a lot of reasons why we keep inviting Chris back to our home. 1. He consistently does outstanding quality work. He always tries to do a job the right way, with attention to details and he's really good at what he does. 2. He is extremely conscientious and dependable. 3. He communicates very well and always does what he says he will do even if it means spending more time on a job than he had originally planned or scheduled. 4. He is very polite, honest and respectful. 5. He's a really hard worker, and 6. He seems motivated not by how much money he can make on a job but rather how much he can help other people by doing a really good job for a really fair price. I've been an active member of Angie's List for over 10 years and we've used lots and lots of contractors over this same time. Chris ranks at the top in terms of what I think we are all looking for when we pay our Angie's List dues each year!!

Chris was excellent to work with. He was prompt, courteous, and cleaned up after himself very well. He was scheduled to perform the priming and painting of our ceiling on Friday. He arrived on schedule, but unfortunately I wanted to use a colored paint for the ceiling and had the wrong sheen. He explained to me the differences and why I needed to go with flat instead of eggshell. On the spot he made a call to the paint store to see if they could get the paint to us in a timely manner. Unfortunately, they couldn't get it for a few hours and Chris had another job to do that day. He said he could come back the next day if we could get the paint by then. He came back on a SATURDAY to finish the job and did an awesome job. Amazing! And all because of my poor choices in paint...sorry again Chris. Would definitely recommend him and call on him again. I had 6 new pine Marvin windows installed in my home and needed them finished.
My trim in my house is stained old oak and he did some samples for me to match in the pine to the oak.
He got the color right and did one of the best jobs I have seen done.

I am in the trades and know what good work when I see it.
The matching is supurb and the finish is smooth, consistant and perfect.
Could not be happier.
He is clean and detail oriented.

I will use him again and hope to later this year on the exterior of my house.

I contacted Chris based on a referral from another Angie's List contractor. We had some drywall work done on our kitchen ceiling and minor repair work done on the dining area ceiling. I contacted Chris based on a referral from the drywall contractor. I had the ceiling measurements for both rooms so when I called Chris I was able to tell him what was needed and provide him with the measurements. Based on that he called me back within 5 minutes with the estimate. We thought the estimate was very reasonable so didn't even bother getting additional estimates. We agreed on a date and Chris showed up promptly on the date. He taped and put up barriers so the floors, walls, cabinets, etc so there wouldn't be any chance of paint drops getting on anything. He did the priming and then painting. It looks fantastic. He did an excellent job. He cleaned up everything and put everything back in place after he was done. He said it didn't take quite as long as he thought so the bill was slightly less then the estimate!!! We were thrilled with the work and Chris.

He came in within 60 seconds he quoted me $500 for materials. I thought that was very pricey for only 800 square feet of home. Then he quoted an additional 2000 for the work. He called me to follow up with the estimate. I found him dishonest as if he was trying to negotiate the price. I would never recommend his services!

I heard of Christopher's Decorative Painting and Finishing through a friend, so decided I would get a quote. Christopher called me back about my online request for a quote within minutes. He was punctual and professionally dressed when he arrived for the quote. His quote was very competitive. Based on his quote and the reference from my friend, we decided to hire him for the project. The first thing he did was set up a time for a color consultation. This was very helpful for me because I did not know where to begin with choosing colors, but I knew that I wanted something different for the family room. The next day he began the job. He took everything off the walls himself. He moved our furniture around as he needed by himselft. He put everything back by himself. He left no mess...not a speck. He respected our home. (He even took his shoes off each time he came into the house.) Best of all, the paint job looks absolutely wonderful! The color he helped me choose for the family room really brings out my existing woodwork and fireplace stonework. I didn't even know it could look so good! The bathroom looks so refreshed. I'm so excited about the changes that I can't wait to have people over just to show off these rooms. I definitely recommend Christopher to anyone. I plan to hire him again in the future when I'm ready to have another project tackled.
