John kaiser, the owner, kept in contact and was very professional and accommodating at all times. We had a problem with a leaky dishwasher that we thought we had solved, but when they were refinishing they found water under the floor boards. Instead of going ahead, they let us know so we could get the problem fixed before the final coat went on. They then moved their schedule around so that they could finish the job. We were very happy with their staff and the finished product.

We just closed on a 3-year old house with Brazilian Cherry floors. They were worn in a few locations but we weren't planning on re-finishing them just yet. Upon moving out, the old owners put several scratches in main parts of the floor. We called up Scandia Hardwood Floors and were able to get the team to re-finish our floors with very short notice as they had a cancellation. I met Dean the first morning, and his initial thoughts were that we probably didn't need to sand the floors at all. He offered to buff out the scratches as best he could and figured the floor would look pretty good. However, I was looking forward to the color being lightened up slightly and really wanted to start with perfect floors, so I had them do the full sanding and re-finishing. The floors look awesome. The price was very fair and I am very satisfied with the final result, as well as getting the job done with such short notice. A+ contractor in my book.
