Highly recommended! I've referred clients to Vickie multiple times with various issues, be it in basement, attic, walls, etc. Each time it's good experience and quick results. She takes time to give you as much detail as you want about air and site testing. And she is not a mold cleaning company, so she isn't going to sell you any other services...no conflict of interest. As for price...it costs money to do the testing and have it professionally analyzed by a laboratory. But when you need to KNOW if you have a problem, she's automatic.

My husband and I were looking to buy a house with mold damage and remediate it. The house was sold before we could make our offer. The team at MN Mold was very helpful. It went very well. Showed up on time, very professional, yet personable. Was very thorough, performed multiple tests at various levels throughout the house. External lab results were returned within a day, and simply confirmed what she had already stated. Gave multiple suggestions / options for fixing the problem, ranging from 3rd party services to a detailed DIY solution plan.

Vickie was great with accommodating our tight timeline. She explained the process and educated us on every thing mold including what the states regulates and what it does not. Before buying or renting I would invest in having these tests done if there is ever question of a wet basement. Lesson learned.

Under a very tight time constraint, Vickie inspected our crawl space, collected a sample, sent it off to the lab for evaluation and provided us with a written assessment of the results. This was all required as a condition to selling our house. She was very responsive.

We're glad we had an independent mold inspector separate from a mold remediator to ensure we had objective results from someone who is extremely experienced in identifying the kind and scope of your problem impartially. Vicki was clear about her pricing ($375 for a set number of samples), which was incredibly reasonable given the value she provides. Mold is a challenging issue and can be overwhelming if you don't have someone like Vicki. She not only gave us clear recommendations, she gave us confidence that we were tackling the problems in the most effective and efficient way possible. When asked, Vicki offered to provided us a couple of names for mold remediation and was extremely impartial in describing what to expect from good mold remediators. We hired one of the companies she suggested and were very pleased with their work too. She also recommended one of her competitors for one test that she herself did not run. It's rare to find that kind of integrity. Vicki stuck with us through the entire remediation, responding to questions and even coming out again when a decision had to made. In addition to her professionalism, Vicki is a caring person who is understands how disruptive and troubling mold problems are, particularly if you are suffering from health problem. We hired her again to do post-remediation and additional testing to confirm we were in the clear. She's amazing and the only person we'd hire for mold inspection.

In a word: EXCELLENT! Vicki is both an expert and a professional in every sense of the words. She was far and away the most knowledgeable contractor I've dealt with on this issue. And unlike the other 'experts' in the field, she is actually certified by the ACAC, indicating that her integrity is a step above those of her peers. In addition, she is genuinely concerned with the sheer number of fraudulent hucksters in the mold remediation industry, and is pushing for regulations to prevent people from being defrauded....as I had been by other contractors. I would not hesitate to recommend Vicky to anybody with a mold issue. I'd be happy to discuss my experience with anybody.

Vicky is by far one of the best contractors. For mold inspectors, Vicky, knows what’s best. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She will take the time to educate you as needed. Vicky is very genuine. Don’t give her a second thought; she is the best. I wouldn’t consider using any one else other than her.

In July, I discovered the source of a bad smell in the basement, a damp box of photos and negatives. I had two companies come out and estimate what needed to be done to clean up the problem. Since they disagreed on the amount of cleanup necessary, I hired Vickie to come and sample the air in my basement to determine how extensive the problem was. Both contractors recommended her. In the meantime, my insurance company hired ServPro to remove damp carpeting and padding in my basement closet found by the contractors. When Vickie came out, she was appalled that ServPro had just removed the carpet and padding without taking any remediation measures, in effect spreading mold throughout my house. She sampled five areas of my house and provided a report within two days that showed high levels in a corner of the recreation room and in the closet. She also checked walls and behind baseboards, finding dampness in one wall. She felt that most of the damage was due to sump pump failure. Then, I had one of the contractors remediate the damage we knew about, after which Vickie came again to sample the air. After that sample, she found that there were still high amounts of mold spores in the area of the office closet. So, the remediation company came out again and checked under the large bookcase and desk in the office. They found that mold had permeated both, so they had to be thrown away and all carpet and padding removed. They used a hepa filter air cleaner for several days afterward, as they had on the first occasion. Vickie came out again and sampled the air in the office. It finally tested clean!!! Vickie was fair when charging for her services. The first round of sampling cost $375, the second was $300, and the third was $75, because only one room was involved. Her sampling was invaluable in cleaning up my problem. Also, since I will have to report the problem if I sell my house, having a clean bill of health is invaluable.

Vickie is excellent! She was very professional, on time, and extremely thorough. We had rented a house on Lake Minnetonka and discovered Black Mold in the basement. Vicki confirmed our findings, and came back with a comprehensive action plan that was easy to understand. She is all about finding cost-effective solutions for problems, and I would highly recommend her company. If you even have the slightest concern that you might have mold, spend the money on Vicki. Discovering mold in two places during our remodel was SUPER stressful, mostly because we didn't know much about the mold or what the problem could be. Vickie cleared up most of that uncertainty, which gave us a lot of peace of mind-- some good news, some bad news, but at least we know what we're dealing with. Some mold suggests condensation, other mold suggests leaking. Some mold was dormant, some active. Some areas of the house had too much humidity and were at risk. Some wood we thought was damp was actually dry, suggesting the previous homeowner didn't disclose the problem and repairs (not in the disclosures! =(). We also know the first steps for DIY and contracted remediation. $375 seemed expensive at first but we got way more peace-of-mind (and likely money, after bid competition) value out of it. The skinny-- if I thought we may have a small mold issue I might have just ordered MoldLab Bid Deal and/or try to address these myself (with what Vickie taught me, and what you could probably look up online). In our case, which was more complicated, then I'm very happy to have brought on Vickie. Learning the at risk areas was valuable info too.

Vicki was very responsive. Returned voicemail quickly and found room in her schedule to accommodate our time frame. My daughter had been threatened with failing to pass housing inspection because of the dirt problem which really was a mold growing in carpet from water leakage around the windows. My daughter is somewhat challenged and was able to understand the process and results. She took her time to explain each step and have a conversation. Vicki's report gave more credibility to my daughter's complaints and led legal aid and housing authority to take her seriously. Because of timing, Vicki got us the report when we needed it. Provider gave a full explanation of his services and of the affect of mold in the house. He then answered all our questions and then examined the entire house for any problems. When finished with the inspection, he explained fully the results. he sent a full report by e-mail that arrived a few days after. Recommended!
