I'm a certified mold inspector (www.acac.org) and have conducted over 6000 inspections(residential, commercial and government). I conduct a visual inspection first - this might involve lifting carpet, looking behind baseboards, checking crawlspaces and attics, etc.) The standard inspection fee includes 3 mold tests (surface tests or air tests). If you have mold, I provide an easy to read report that lets you know how to get rid of the mold. Some remediation companies might try to scare you or make the project bigger than needed.. We offer objective assessments with no conflict or interest. You can then remove the mold yourself or hire a pro. Minnesota does not require mold inspectors or remediators to be licensed, so it is important to use certified professionals. I can answer all of your mold quesitons -- if I can't, I have a network of the best resources in the industry. I won't quit until your problems are resolved and your questions are answered.
Clearance Testing - when mold was present but has been cleaned up - this confirms whether or not the house has been returned to a clean, livable condition (whether you cleaned the mold yourself or had it cleaned professionally), Mold Documentation - When mold conditions are visible (during purchase, rental or FHA loan application), Mold Invesigation - When you're not sure that you have mold, but have had a flood, smell musty odors or are experiencing allergy symptoms, Special area of expertise: Mold in basements and crawlspaces, Trained, certified and experienced in providing a cost-effective, non-invasive mold assessment
